Excellent dog friendly hotel
Lovely part of Northumberland and staff very friendly
Food amazing
Amazing place to stay. Great value for money. Comfortable, clean, bright and spacious. Jacuzzi was a bonus for the whole family. Excellent breakfast!
We stayed one night only to visit the observatory; unfortunately it was a cloudy night so we didn't see any s-tars, but the stay was so lovely we didn't even notice! The room was immaculate, large and very comfortable. The breakfast was the best breakfast we've had in the UK in a very long time! And finally the staff couldn't be faulted, everyone we spoke to, from the reception staff to the lady who cleaned our room was friendly and happy. Outstanding place, we will definately be back!

Friendly and good location for our plans
All fine but small shower- we only paid for small room so can’t complain
We’ve been several times before. A pleasure to stay. Staff very welcoming, good food/location and recommend.
Bed on this occasion was uncomfortable.
We arrived after a 7 hour-long journey, somewhat tired, with two very hungry kids, and with barely enough time to unpack and go to the observatory next door, where we had booked for one of the sessions. The lady at the reception was very accommodating and managed to squeeze us in for dinner before our observatory visit. The food was absolutely superb, fresh and delicious, and the service fast and attentive. Our rooms (1 in main building, the other an outside cottage) were fantastic too - spacious, comfortable, very well appointed, and with amenities that exceeded expectations. We all had an excellent night and would have stayed in bed much longer if it hadn't been because we had a full, delicious breakfast expecting us, and we had to leave to continue with our trip. We have however promised ourselves that we will be back very soon - it's definitely worth the journey!
Breakfast and dinner were great and the my kid loved the bedroom.
