I would stay again as the staff were lovely and the room as a whole was great.
Pros:

The room was very comfortable with a huge free standing bath.
The bed was great as I like a firm mattress

Cons:

The reception wasn’t open at all times. You could eat in the restaurant but couldn’t order snacks/sandwiches or breakfast.
In my room one of the window locks was broken so I didn’t feel 100% safe

Very good location, friendly staff and great decor!
Pros:

Great decor, spacious, comfortable, clean!

Cons:

I could have a drink but couldn’t get late cheese plate after I got back, seemed such a simple ask but NO the kitchen was closed (when I could see staff in the kitchen). I’d have thought this could have been possible for a paying guest!

Friendly and comfortable
Pros:

I visit Birmingham often and I will definitely return to the Baloci! I was greeted warmly on arrival and felt looked after. Car parking is safe and room was lovely - warm and comfortable. Extensive tea and coffee with Oat Milk in the fridge was a lovely bonus.

Amazing hotel
Pros:

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish, got a phone call on the morning of the booking to ask if we would like a complimentary room upgrade, we were upgraded to the Alexander suite which didn't disappoint with its unique design, very comfy super king size bed, large TV with Netflix, mini fridge, massive roll top bath, rainfall shower, super soft towels, the room really has it all, already looking to book again next month for our wedding anniversary.

A fantastic one night stay
Pros:

The room was large a decorated with a nice theme. The bed was really comfortable and the roll top bath was a nice touch.

Cons:

The final flight of stairs were quite steep and due to the turn were tricky to manoeuvre with a suitcase.

It would get 10/10 if it wasn’t for the shower water going onto the floor.
Pros:

We stayed here last year and we loved the room. Re-booking speaks volumes.

Cons:

The shower needs a little more thought as the water flows onto the floor in the room we stayed in.

Scary. Room much too light to have a full nights sleep as no way to turn off shower light, and the door is glass so roo
Pros:

Great entrance and looks really nice at first glance.

Cons:

Two things were pretty terrible- almost a deal breaker for me:
1/ there were 2 holes in the wall where people could live in the walls.. they open to darkened rooms in the walls - i was boarderline terrified and had to block these with furniture in fear that people could enter my room through these hatches, in the night - really scary.
2/ There was no way to turn the bathroom light off. i circled the room for 2 hours desperate to go to bed bug unable to as the room was filled with light. i lost 2 hours sleep, going to be at 1am, having to cover the bathroom door with towels, and it was still far too light to sleep. Somehow i eventually fell asleep, room full of light. when i awoke several hours later, the bathroom/shower-room light had finally gone off. It was pretty terrible. I tried for hours to call reception but no answer, as it was past 11pm…
Also the room was freezing.

You need to stay here! You won't regret it.
Pros:

Beautiful and unique hotel. Whoever did the decorating has a talent. This isn't an ordinary hotel. This is full of elegance and character. When you walk in it smells amazing, so warm and cosy. Staff serve with a smile and helped with our cases upstairs. Then the bedroom was stunning. Bed so comfortable, smart TV with apps, luxurious bath and shower. My favourite bit was having the bath tray and wine glasses available. Bubble bath with wine was bliss. I cannot wait to stay again. Also the mood light dimmer in the room. Hotel reminded me of The Continental in John Wick.

Cons:

Nothing. Not a single fault.
