Pros:

Very nice place to stay, comfortable, great breakfast and meals, friendly staff, my only concern was a very squeaky floor in bedroom 7 with the laminate flooring, needs looking at, but otherwise a pleasant stay

Appleby weekend for wedding
Pros:

The food was lovely couldn't fault it .. evening meal was lovely you had plenty of choice ..breakfast was lovely and so much too ....it set you up for the day 😄
Bed was comfortable had a good nights sleep for the 2 nights we were were there ..
Staff were friendly and helpful too .. 😃

Cons:

The only thing I could think of was there was cobwebs behind the dresser...and maybe the toilet brush needs changing ... 😒

Lovely inn in a great location
Pros:

This is a lovely traditional inn in a pretty, quiet village in a great locatikn just off the A66.
The staff were friendly, rooms were comfortable spacious and clean and the food was good.

Good place to stay to explore area. Will definitely return when in area.

Good location. Plenty of parking. Comfortable room. Decent restaurant/food.

Cons:

Minor points- leak on bathroom radiator, bed was a bit low, bathroom lighting could have been brighter.

Hidden treasure
Pros:

Well-appointed spacious room, large bathroom, big fluffy towels, high standard of cleanliness. Surprised by private patio to rear!
Handy well stocked bar, good menu v generous breakfast, pleasant staff, attractive decor & nice touches- eg small vase of fresh flowers on tables

Cons:

For a smaller person bathroom shelves were rather high- also the mirror. My husband had some difficulty with the short flight of steepish stone steps to courtyard rooms-tho I realised there was parking behind the wing & a delightful private patio for our room. All in all a good stay.
Perhaps good idea to provide an umbrella in case of showers when guests walking across to main part of the hotel

Lovely pub in a beautiful area rooms are lovely and clean very quiet at nighttime
