Loverly food, served hot without having to wait.
Brilliant and professional service from Beth and Netti really looked after us and made us feel welcome
Poor premier inn experience, while it is clean it isn't as modern as usual premier inns. Towels well worn, bathroom tired - shower head was partially blocked and when running the shower the tap wasted water straight down the hole couldnt switch completely to shower. Grout was pretty grotty.
Road is super noisy outside and there was a tapping noise in the room all night. I paid 144 pounds which was well over priced for this premier inn.
Arrived as a walk in after experiencing issues online. I was checked in Quick, friendly and helpful service from Dianne.
I have stayed at this location many times, it’s close to Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
On arrival there were two huge low load trucks taking up 10+ spaces, they obviously wanted to be as close to the entrance as possible. Not ideal as the weather was very wet and it reduced the number of parking spaces.
There was just one member of staff manning check-in, waiting in the restaurant and serving at the bar. He did it very well but could have done with a colleague to help as all areas were busy.
The bedroom had an awful smell, like old trainers (no they weren’t mine!) this made me doubt the cleanliness of the room and bedding. Usually the bedding is crisp and clean.
I will stay again as it is convenient but the cost has gone up and I’m not sure I got value for money this time.
Lovely and clean. With a nice bar and restaurant. A little bit small but has everything you need. You do need to book evening meal in advance.
Classic premier inn. Comfy beds and very clean.
Plus free parking!
Breakfast was lovely with eggs cooked fresh! Breakfast staff so kind and friendly!
Very good staff on reception, helpful and friendly........................Rooms as you would expect......................comfortable and clean............... Breakfast very tasty
Me and my friends had great time the customer service from Samantha Marsden was amazing helping us out with the layout of the hotel cant wait for my next stay there
Such a great premier inn in the perfect location, with an absolutely delicious buffet breakfast! I definitely recommend adding it to your booking for every morning.
All the reception staff were very helpful and Wendy is fantastic. She is so helpful and smiley, and when I totally messed up my parking payments she was there to offer help!
Will be back next year!
We, a table of nine, had excellent and friendly service in the restaurant tonight. Couldn’t fault it, really good food too.
Antony and Rachel were fantastic last night, extremely friendly, polite and accomadating reassuring us that our larger booking tomorrow would be absolutely fine with our friends.
Staff membe4 Anthony help with self booking, was extremely helpful amd took my meal in the restaurant in a cheerful manner. Rooms are comfy.
Whilst staying here, There was great customer service provided by Sam, she always had a smile on her face, very welcoming, she went above and beyond to make sure my stay was exceptional. Nothing was too big of an ask. She made me feel so welcome, which made the whole experience of staying at the premier inn (Angel Street) delightful. Always on her feet, giving 110% to her work. Everything was so clean, I had such a good experience, i am so thankful for all Sams help, she was very professional, and punctual, every question i asked she always had an answer for, she knew exactly what she was doing. I will definitely be staying here again.
Lovely chilled hotel and restaurant. Had chilli linguine and it was very tasty. Katsu chicken curry was brillant. The service was friendly and amazing, so attentive and nothing was too much trouble
We ask many times about cleaning, but was wery poor,

I was very impressed with the staffs knowledge on coeliac disease. They have a folder with all the food they serve, the allergens they contain and also any may contain too. I was brought out some freshly washed cutlery that no one else had touched and contaminated, which is the first time anywhere has done this in the 5 years I have been diagnosed. I felt very safe and reassured when eating here.
What a Premier Inn. We stayed for a Katy Perry concert. Upon arrival they had decorated the reception and bar for a ‘Katy Perry pre party’. They had organised quizzes and mocktails for all the kids staying (even the poor builders who were surrounded by tweenagers got involved!) and made it all so much more exciting. After the gig they had laid out water for guests staying (we were all very grateful after a night of singing our lungs out). They staff were all lovely, so welcoming and helpful. Well above and beyond. The room was exactly as a Premier Inn always is, comfy, clean and warm. The breakfast was great too.
It's been a few years since I last stayed here and now the ground floor Reception area has been made over to offer a more welcoming experience. Seating and desks provide a place to sit and pass the time, or catch up on emails etc. The restaurant/bar area has also been transformed into the Social brand, which is being rolled out at some city centre Premier Inns. My side facing 3rd floor room was well insulated from the outside world, thanks to good secondary double glazing. The air con operated quietly and quickly warmed the room up. I stayed on a Thursday night for only £41 and the hotel wasn't that busy. Just as well, as the rooms still suffer from noise intrusion from the neighbouring room via the wall with the TV mounted on it. The location is good for those in town for shopping and the theatre. It is quite hilly in the immediate area, so if you're arriving by train, taking the tram up the hotel is a good idea.
