Very clean, comfy and quiet. Staff are friendly and knowledgable of the area. Food was good value in the pub/restaurant next door. Short walk to the central tube line.
Stayed here a few times staff are always lovely & the rooms are always perfect & clean the beds are always comfy plenty of tea & coffee when needed.
Kim and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay there again. We had some lovely surprise gifts in our room and thoroughly enjoyed our time there
We had a very nice couple on reception who checked us in. The hotel was clean and well presented. The room was imaculate and the fittings, like the heating control easy to use.
The tea tray was well stocked with more available in reception. It is a short walk to the restaurant which was also really clean and we had a warm welcome.
The meal deal is very good value, we had the steak with red house wine which we really enjoyed. The steak was a little tough unfortunately.
The bed was comfortable and being able to stay until 12 on the departure day meant we could relax after breakfast before heading off.
The service was fantastic. We ordered a few starters which were delicious, the calamari was a bit salty but the waitress took it off the bill without any issues so very happy with the hospitality. I ordered a very awkward pizza, beef chilli on the pizza base, which the waiter (Daniel) did for us very graciously. It’s a little weird but it was delicious! I would highly recommend adding it on to a pizza base. The kitchen had never heard of it before which was very funny and Daniel, our waiter, was a good sport! Lovely atmosphere and great service. Very friendly staff. P.S my partner added a volcano amount of spicy toppings which we had a laugh with the staff about as well. When Daniel came out he gave me spring rolls but I had initially asked for spring onions! We had a good laugh and he didn’t charge me for the mistake
I’ve stayed here many times prior to 2024, so when I needed to visit again, it felt like a no-brainer to return to what I knew. Unfortunately, it now seems that was a mistake.
On my first visit back, the shower was barely functioning — extremely weak, but just about usable. It certainly couldn’t run a bath; it would have taken at least an hour.
This time, I booked a Premier Plus room, which was very nice overall. However, in the morning I woke up expecting a decent shower, and it was a huge disappointment. The water was only trickling out, barely warm, and not even enough to wash properly. The sink pressure was even worse. When I mentioned this to a staff member, she said they had been waiting on engineers for a while — not reassuring.
Sadly, based on these repeated issues, I don’t think I’ll be returning again.
We were staying at this lovely hotel for a couple of nights as it was our 50th anniversary. We had meals and breakfast every day in the restaurant next door and every time it was lovely, staff are polite and friendly but this one night dining stood out. There were 2 staff members working that evening, young man, unfortunately couldn't see his name as did not had badge, and young lovely lady Liga. Restaurant was quite busy. Table behind us, guests were very, rude from minute they came into restaurant. They complained about service and food to manager Liga, she handled situation very well and in highly professionall manner and her smile on her face never disappeared, even straight after their complaint Liga came over to our table to ask if we are OK and apologise about situation with rude guests. Her smile never went from her face and handled it in the best manner, she's a big credit to your company, employees like Liga, who do not loose their smiles even in the hardest situation, must be praised as life is a challenge these days. Well done, hope this feedback will be helpful
I visited the hotel yesterday, Had a pleasant and helpful receptionist help me with some issues regarding my air con and tv ,she resolved these problems immediately and was very interested in helping me as I was tired and wanted to wind down after a busy day at work , she wished me a nice evening and i left very satisfied I was tired but managed to remember her name it was Liga , great asset to your company
We arrived early evening when it was already dark. On approaching the hotel it looked like the hotel had closed down. The lighting on the Premier Inn signage was off. The building behind the signage was cordoned off with iron railings and barriers. One or two workmen could be seen around the building which had sparse lighting in a few rooms. I drove in but there seemed no where to go so I reversed thinking the hotel must have been relocated. But there was no sign of a Premier Inn at another location further down the road. So I decided to call the hotel. No answer. I decided to drive back and perhaps ask one of the builders about the apparent disappearance of the Premier Inn. However, as I drove in the second time I spotted a car driving around the first building into a dark entrance. This road was not readily visible from the road entrance, especially in the dark.
As we drove around the building we saw the reception of the Premier Inn and some dim lighting. There was a small but adequate car park. We queued at reception. There were two people in front of us. The gentleman at the front was complaining about the fact his heating was blowing out cold. He was not very happy and the receptionist had changed his room but she did not seem very welcoming. When it came to our turn we mentioned about the dark entrance and the fact it appeared that the hotel had closed down and were told that many people mention it. No apology or care. Why has this been left?
Our room was freezing when we arrived. The heating did not work properly. We turned it up but it kept on going off every hour. I had to repeatedly reset it. Consequently as soon as we warmed up it was cold again. The cold water in the sink tap came out warm so we couldn't use it to fill the kettle. We had to buy bottled water. The hot water came out very slowly. Basically the sink tap did not work. We did not bother to complain as we felt this would fall on deaf ears. We had no energy after our long drive.
We nearly never used the shower but it made sense to shower before we left with our itinerary the following day. As expected the shower was tolerable - just. There were 2 bath towels but only 1 hand towel. I had to ask for a hand towel at reception which was fine but it was rough like sand paper. We were only staying over the 1 night - thank goodness. I do not understand how a hotel chain such as the Premier Inn are unable to address these issues but I doubt I would book with a Premier Inn again.
The location was a little further out than we wanted but easy to get to and not too far to walk from the train station. The reception staff were very helpful and assisted us with our rooms and provide drinks and also sweets in the room for the children. The room was clean and adequate for our one night stay, good night's sleep and very quiet. However, the restaurant next door was not so good. Thank you to Jurrell, who was very helpful, and polite. The evening meal was nice and the food was good but the service was terrible. The resdtauratnt was not full by any stretch of the imagination but we had to wait 40-45 minutes for our food, not good when you have hungry children. The staff were not particularly friendly and we had to clear our own table to enable us to have a dessert, even though I had asked for it to be cleared. This was the only downside to staying at this particular Premier Inn. The Premier Inn was perfectly fine.
The room smells like kebab and body odour. There are pieces of food on the chair, side table and carpet. The shower curtain is hanging on for dear life and the headboard is disgusting.
Had a rather pleasant one night stay. The staff here are all super friendly, from reception to house keeping through to breakfast. Room was clean and temp was just right. I had overheard the receptionist talking to another about the water pressure being an issue and it was but it was manageable and they are dealing with it.
Have to give a shout out for the breakfast. Freshly cooked and Probably the best breakfast I have had in a premier Inn. Food was hot , plentiful and tasty. Thank you Charlotte.
Very happy experience. Easily booked online and chose to pay at the hotel, which was also easy. Early check-in option worked well - thanks Jurrell for sorting. Room warm and cosy, comfortable, quiet and clean. My room had a bath (and shower, of course) which was a plus. Check-out consists of walking out. I’m not sure about connections to central London as I was attending a meeting close by.
Full marks.
Front desk staff was very helpful
Amazingly located for Visiting London if you have a vehicle due to free carparking, Just off the A40 and Close to a Underground tube station.
Excellent experience at Premier Inn, Great Yarmouth West. Friendly staff, clean tidy and comfortable room. Recommend to all.
Stayed for 2 nights to attend a conference. Everything was clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly but just wanted to give a shout out to mattie, he was very friendly, happy to help and was always cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble. See you in Greggs Mattie!!!
Superb from start to finish. The reception staff were friendly. Server in restaurant lovely and chef was superb. Our room was clean tidy and accessible on time. Nothing was too much for the staff here.
Unfortunately this Premier Inn is not very 'pedestrian friendly' and being so close to the train station, I thought it would be which is why I booked.
The road leading up to it has no lighting, is very desolate and the only alternative is an overgrown path at the rear of the building - that is daunting to say the least, and not to be used when alone if you are of a nervous disposition and due to the discarded rubbish and even old bedding, it is not a pleasant walk. There's also no lighting so avoid after dark.
Lovely staff very friendly did enjoy my stay at hotel only disappoint was showers were not working properly my self and other guest saying with yourselfs were attending a wedding and couldn't even wash our hair properly hotel were aware of the problem so feel guest should of been informed of problem before arriving or checking in
