Great location, about a 7/8 minute walk to London Bridge station and 2 minutes from Borough Market. There are lots of food options nearby, and a Tesco Express around the corner.
The room was clean and the facilities were decent. I didn't get breakfast but there was also coffee station near reception and a snack machine.
The check-in staff were great and very friendly. The hotel is down a small alleyway but it felt safe for me as a female solo traveller.
I would stay at this location again!
Cold.
Heating not working, no extractor fan.
No indication that food & drink service stopped at 10pm.
Very poor value for money, especially as this was an annual (birthday) trip to London to see a band.
We usually enjoy a great stay at Premier Inns, but this was pretty grim compared to previous trips.
It’s a wonderful team here, they’re all so helpful and friendly and the hotel was more than you could ask for when staying away.
I was attending an event in Brixton so the location couldn't have been better, just around the corner from the tube station. It was pretty quiet as it was a Monday night. The room was one with a fridge and coffee machine, so slightly more expensive. It was a good size and had a really comfortable feel. Very clean throughout. The bathroom was OK, but the pressure on the shower was pretty normal for these hotels. I didn't have much to do with the staff, just check in, and they were efficient and friendly. My only gripe was that there were no windows that could be opened, and I like to have an open window sometimes, but I suppose they have their reasons.
The hub is in a great location to explore Camden and with easy access to the tube you can explore all of London. We were a bit apprehensive when booking with regards to the room size but it was fine and we had plenty of space and a window. The hotel was very modern and clean. The staff were excellent and the food (breakfast) was great. There is complimentary tea and coffee in the basement where you eat and again it is well lit, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend the hotel and look to stay in a hub in the future.
Travelled to London from Norwich to see a band at Camden Electric Ballroom so wanted a place close to the venue. This hub is ideally situated a short stroll from venue & the tube station. Had Tesco, M&S foodhall, Aldi on walk between station & hotel to stock up on room supplies & theres a McDonalds just across the street which I visited for post-gig chips I ate in bed!
Had a warm welcome upon check-in & my room was clean, comfortable & had everything I needed. Paid £111 for a night, which wasn’t cheap, but I felt very safe & got over 8 hours decent sleep before heading out to explore London, so would definitely recommend.
From the warm welcome, to the clean, comfortable and quiet room, to the good breakfast the following day all were excellent. Would definitely stay again.
This was our first stay at The Hub by Premier Inn Camden, travelling with friends as two couples. We picked The Hub mainly because of the cost compared to the high prices of other London hotels, but also because of the location, as it was only about a 15-minute walk to the Roundhouse where we were seeing The Stranglers. We only really needed a bed for the night and a shower for the morning, so with the lower price, we were expecting something fairly basic and maybe a bit substandard... how wrong were we?
The hotel couldn’t have been in a better location, right in the heart of Camden, and although it is in a busy area, once inside the hotel you wouldn’t know it. Our room faced Camden High Street and we couldn’t hear a thing from outside, which was a real surprise. The building and rooms were spotless, modern and far exceeded our expectations. We even commented that we’ve paid more for hotel rooms that didn’t come close to the standard here.
Our friends’ room was huge, so we’ll definitely be requesting that one next time. The breakfast and bar area had a lovely feel to it, and the complimentary tea and coffee were a nice bonus.
A special mention to Carlos and Jithu, who were both fantastic. Carlos was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived and again when we checked out. Jithu checked us in later and couldn’t have been more helpful, arranging for our rooms to be next to each other, collecting our bags and providing extra pillows without hesitation. He was really jolly and we had a good laugh with him, which made the experience even better.
The only small downside was that, although our rooms were ready when we arrived a couple of hours before check-in, there was a £15 per room charge to check in early. We completely understand the policy, but as the rooms were already available, it would have been a lovely gesture if early check-in had been complimentary.
Overall, we had a brilliant stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Hub Camden. It’s a great value hotel in a perfect location, and we’ll definitely be back.
Great location for restaurants bars tube station all within in minutes away. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.
Staff were excellent and very helpful in getting me booked in early. Also very helpful at all points of my stay. I would absolutely stay here again.
Great experience at the Premier Inn in London Bridge great room, excellent breakfast and outstanding staff. Will definitively re-visit.
Great location. However, we’d paid for two ‘bigger rooms’ but only one had a king-sized bed. We complained but were told it was ‘the luck of the draw’. The rooms were hot, but the windows didn’t open and the AC only went down to 19c, so not a good night’s sleep (apparently the good night’s sleep guarantee doesn’t apply at the hub hotels). The hairdryer in the room didn’t work. At breakfast, a number of items had run out, but when we asked, we were told they wouldn’t be replenished - it was only 9.30!
The hotel management were indifferent to our complaints, so we complained through the main website and through social media, but were fobbed off and told to speak to the local management team again. In all, a poor experience for a premium price.
Location was amazing around 200m from London Bridge station without needing to cross the road.
Very hardworking team which were a credit to the business completing multiple roles from receptionist to servicing tables at breakfast.
Rooms to the usual Premier Inn brand service. We had a walk-in shower which was better than the normal bath.
So why not excellent?
Sadly the main entrance is down a small lane that opens up leading to the reception. The lane is located off the bourgh high street and often during our visit smelt like a toilet! It was also the smoking location for the Tesco staff next door. This just forced me to knock off a star otherwise I would have happily rates this hotel excellent!!!
The hotel is very conveniently located for Camden and close to public transport links. Room was fairly small but made good use of the space so didn't feel cramped. Nice bathroom and very clean. Felt it was good value for the price
Room was clean and very quiet, location is just across from the electric Brixton for a concert we were attending and a 5 minute walk from tube.
We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times and the location cannot be beaten when going to a gig in Camden. Sadly I agree with the other reviewers in that despite this being a relatively new hotel things have been allowed to go downhill. Checked in on the add in the hope of a fast check in when we arrived- both electronic check in terminals out of use meaning large queue formed waiting to see sole member of staff. One of the lifts had a broken tv screen and the other had two downlights which flicker so quickly this is likely to be an epilepsy risk. Room was spotlessly clean however hairdryer did not work - elements just glowed with no air movement before tripping itself out. Reported to front desk who told us that it was a common fault and the best they could offer is to let us into someone else's room when they had vacated!! Iron board and iron left in corridor, did not move and would present a hazard on a fire escape route. Did not eat in hotel as so many great places locally, and shocked how a hotel can appear so neglected so quickly even though it is owned by a huge corporation. Needs some love to return to a great hotel. Disappointing
Great area, near transit, Electric Avenue.
We stayed in the hotel last year and it was great, so when going back to London to visit family, we booked a room again.
Sadly, the whole place has deteriorated and the staff they have now are unfriendly and unhelpful (apart from 2 who's names I can't remember, sorry).
The room itself was "shabby"! Blinds were frayed, pillowcases had marks on them, shower head was filthy, and the hairdryer didn't work!
The communal lounge, which last year was great, was this year unwelcoming. Had to ask several times for milk which should have been there already as it's a "help yourself" place. When I told one of the female staff that the coffee machine was not working she was very rude!!
Breakfast was a hit and miss affair and not very tasty. We witnessed staff being quite rude to other guests on occasion too and we were glad to leave!
I appreciate it's a budget hotel but expected better tbh.
Went for a few nights with my husband and son. It was our first time in London and didn't know our way around. The receptionists was brilliant and very friendly who couldn't do enough for us from telling us which tubes to catch, what shopping centre is the best, I could go on. The rooms were spacious and very clean too. Would definitely come back here when I come down again as I cannot fault anything.
Hotel ticked all the boxes, staff/location/room/breakfast all great no complaints would defo stay again! Tube and local shops all close by as well x
