Premier Inn Plymouth City Centre - Derry's Cross

Check in was very easy and the front desk agent (Mash) was very welcoming to the hotel. He was knowledgeable and gave the hotel a far more professional look in the way he worked and communicated - by doing this he stood out from everyone else working at the hotel that night.
My room was extremely clean and comfortable- very quiet too. No complaints on what is a well ran budget end motel type property- great value for money and I’d definitely return.

Myself and my husband booked a 2 night stay at the Premier Inn as we have family in the area.

The hotel room was clean and adequately equipped for our needs and we have stayed here on several occasions.

Unfortunately the hotel was understaffed and I felt very sorry for the staff as they were overwhelmed with working on the reception, bar and restaurant. I understand that the Management knew that it would be a busy weekend but failed to arrange sufficient staff.

I cannot fault the staff, who all retained their composure dealing the pressure they were under. Well done to all of them who worked on Friday evening and Saturday morning (28th and 29th Nov).

A note for the manager - to ensure there are enough staff when they know there are a lot of rooms booked to the Premier Inn.

Always been a great experience staying here as I’ve stayed at least 6 times before,
However this time just the wait for Breakfast 40 minutes and the one sausage and one piece of bacon was past a joke not to write a review

Lovely hotel 💜 I stayed in three different Premier Inns this week, and Plymouth’s was the best! Lovely staff and clean rooms. My twin room felt huge!

The hotel staff ruined our stay.
A staff member aggressively demanded entry into our room at 2am. This was a family room and he would not leave after we stated this and that we have young children in the room, who were terrified at the loud banging and shouting. I was about to call the police when he said he worked at the hotel, despite not being in uniform. After calling down to reception, they said they had seen some people going into each others rooms at 2am. Clearly this wasn’t us as we were fast asleep and he was banging on the wrong door.
There was no apology from him and there has been no ‘adequate’ compensation for all of this. This was the first time staying in a premier inn and I cannot understand how you can treat customers like this.
I expect an apology and for this to be escalated appropriately and resolved to my satisfaction. The feedback card I was given simply offers details of the ‘good night sleep guarantee’, this is 100% to do with staff behaviour and attitude and could have been avoided. You can’t just offer a traumatised tired family 60% off their total stay refunded, it’s disgusting customer service!

Never disappoints, great service, clean hotel, lovely staff and good value for money. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

The staff member Ollie (Olly) went above and beyond for me and my family. He was pleasant, polite and always had a smile on his face and always had a solution to any problem I had. Thank you so much.

Staying away frequently can be a little traumatic at times but my experience tonight at Sutton Harbour has been exceptional. Trish, Ollie and the team have been amazing and I would fully recommend to anyone visiting Plymouth. A massive well done.

First time staying in Derrys Cross. Me and my daughter went to the theatre which is literally a stones throw away. Check in was easy, the room was beautiful and clean, the shower was amazing. I cant compliment the staff enough they were all really friendly and helpful, even when my daughter lost the key card. The manager was really kind to her. We will definitely be back. Thank you soooooo much! Oh and the breakfast was wonderful! My daughter ate free too, added bonus!

Ollie was fantastic and accommodating with changing rooms for accessibility for family members. Super quick and friendly, really happy with the service provided and super helpful!

Charlie the duty manager was superb! Really helpful advice on parking for security and also helping us find the best room for our family needs (cot etc). Charlie - if we may say - was a credit to Premier Inn and the hotel.

My experience in this premier inn in Plymouth city Center has been 5 out of 5! Mash the manager has been amazing and really helpful. Great customer service from Mash and truly made my stay more comfortable. This is my second visit to this hotel and that’s solely because of manager Mash. I will be returning again.

Mash was friendly, professional and attentive despite the hotel being short of staff. The food was delicious! The rooms are large and well maintained.

On the whole an enjoyable experience rooms clean and comfortable breakfast ample the only downside was in the bar area the lad working the bar could probably do with a hand as at one point he was serving drink serving food doing reception and tending to customer needs but the whole time staying polite and professional which I personally think was a credit to him I think his name was mash.
