Patrick Mabel and Steph were very friendly and helpful .Started with a new company so they made it easy for us all,Nice breakfasts and good service
We stayed to attend an event in the city and Premier Inn was so handy being only a short walk to the city centre. We arrived prior to the check in time and the girl on reception was super pleasant and offered us early check-in at a cost of €15 or storage for our bags, as we were not in a rush at that point we decided to leave our bags and after a drink go and explore for a while. The bar was lovely and bright and the young man behind it was extremely friendly and gave us great advise on bars to go to after our event ends
Breakfast was very tasty and the team were very approachable
Fahad fixed the TV in about five minutes. Really appreciate the prompt service. Well done. Appreciate you taking time out to attend.
We use premier inn whenever we can. Staff, cleanliness and of course the mattresses. This time was a mistake. Some staff members stand out as great: Paidraigh who booked us in, and a Spanish staff-member whose name I don’t know. Beyond booking in, it was a truly horrible experience.
I recently stayed at the Croydon Town Centre Premier Inn, and I want to share the wonderful experience I had during check-in. I arrived feeling extremely stressed and tired, but Duty Manager Rashme completely turned my day around.
✨ First of all, Rashme is an absolute superstar for Premier Inn!
Credit to the management she was literally everywhere: helping in the restaurant, supporting housekeeping, assisting at reception… wow! 👏 She’s a true diamond for the company 💎 and represents the brand with pride and passion.
She welcomed me with a beautiful smile 😊, and with her incredibly kind nature, she delivered excellent customer service from the very start. Her sweet, gentle way of speaking and her naturally shy, caring personality instantly made me feel comfortable. It’s hard to explain how much her warm attitude meant to me at that moment she genuinely lifted my mood and made my entire day brighter. ❤️❤️❤️
It’s rare to meet someone whose positive energy leaves such a lasting impression. Premier Inn is truly lucky to have such a responsible, kind, and dedicated manager on their team. I sincerely appreciate her effort, professionalism, and the heartfelt way she interacts with guests.
🌸 Thank you, Rashme, for making my stay so lovely.
🌟 Highly recommended! ❤️❤️
I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Premier Inn Croydon throughout October and November, and I just have to say – this hotel truly became a home away from home.
From the moment I arrived, the team were warm, welcoming and genuinely caring. The rooms were clean, comfortable and peaceful, and I always felt safe any time I needed help, the staff were kind, patient and happy to assist.
But I have to give a very special shout-out to Teresa. ✨
She is, without a doubt, the superstar of Premier Inn Croydon.
Teresa’s kindness, warmth made such a difference to my stay. She doesn’t just do her job – she goes above and beyond, and you can really feel that she cares about the guests. Her smile, energy and reassuring presence brightened even the tougher days.
Please know that we are officially part of Teresa’s fan club now! 💜lol
And I hope that every time she reads this review, it makes her smile and reminds her of my smile ;) I might come in for breakfast again to count up for the days I missed haha.
To all the staff at Premier Inn Croydon – thank you for being amazing. To Teresa thank you for being unforgettable.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Croydon 🌟
Room was very good and service at reception and restaurant was very excellent staff was v.good service was with a smile specially TERESA'S SO JOLY GIRL THANKS only one complaint with happy hour offer when u order any beer NO STOCK NORE CANS YOU EXPECT US TO BUY EXPENSIVE BEER
I'm glad that this Premier Inn does not charge for parking. It's a short drive from Gatwick and set in a fairly quiet location. That said there is not much nearby, so it's an ideal airport stopover hotel rather than a getaway location. The room was clean and the heating worked well. Our only disappointment was that there were no water bottles in the room and no fridge. The value for money was fair.
Hotel is a bit run down, but room is lovely and spacious. And breakfast is good, the staff at breakfast are so friendly and welcoming! Teresa deserves a day off! She’s been here every morning I have and is fantastic!!
Great city centre location and off a main road. Bars, restaurants and attractions all within a short walk. Public transport is really cheap if you want to go further afield.
Friendly staff and generally a quiet but pleasant feel in bar/reception area. Room was a good size and the rain shower was a pleasant surprise. My room was facing inwards so really quiet (but wonder if the courtyard might get busy in summer months)?
Not the cheapest I’ve ever stayed in but was competitive with other local hotels and travelling solo is always more expensive. Buffet breakfast was good value.
Overall you know what to expect with Premier Inn and I was very happy with this stay.
We had been emailed by Premier inn to say that the lift had limited access which we thought we might have to wait for a lift. Actually there was no working lift at all.
Being elderly and waiting for a knee replacement far from ideal.
No heating in the rooms at all the heating control was dead and the staff just said it was a glitch in the system. We companied every morning and every even but no offer of a portable heater etc, staff didn't care despite it being the coldest days of the year (17-20th Nov).
On the Wednesday night at 9.00pm we went into the bar /restaurant for a drink to be told by a girl near the bar that the bar was closed, they were short staffed and with that she disappeared slamming the door behind her.
The two good points was the location, 2 minutes to the station and the breakfasts.
I actually asked one member of staff if they were shutting/ closing down as I have never experienced such awful customer care in such a big chain.
Very frustrating experience. We arrived very tired at 11:30pm on Friday, used the self-service check-in machine to create a room key, then headed to our room on the 4th floor, but the key didn't work. Went back down to reception and found a staff member who tried again to create a key, but after going back to 4th floor it still didn't work. Staff member let us into the room with his key and said to resolve it in the morning.
Next day the key still didn't work, so I asked another staff member. Again they created a new key, but again it still didn't work. They sent another staff member to let us into the room and said a maintenance man 'might' come and fix the door, otherwise they would switch our room. At midday on Saturday the key started working, although nobody had informed us that anything had been fixed.
All in all a very frustrating experience which caused us a lot of headaches and delays to our trip.
Location great Atmosphere very quite and good Room very good and nice rook clean value affordable Cleanliness very cleaned room and break fast area. Noise, noiseless service is very excellent Amenities very good no complaints
I had a wonderful stay in this room. It was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout my visit. The highlight of my experience was the excellent service from the staff, especially Rashmi. She was incredibly helpful and guided us with anything we needed, always with a warm and welcoming attitude. Her support truly made our stay easier and more enjoyable.
I had an excellent experience thanks to Rashmi, the Duty Manager. Her attention to detail, kindness, and commitment to providing exceptional service stood out from the moment I arrived. She handled every request efficiently and with genuine care. Rashmi is a true asset to the hotel, and I deeply appreciate her dedication.
Had a great experience so far. Had breakfast this morning- food was great but service was even better. Our hostess / server Theresa was having a busy and later chaotic morning due to a guest braking a glass, but she was still super friendly and helpful through it all. Highly recommend getting the breakfast while you are at the hotel!
First visit to a Premier inn. This hotel was easily accesible from Gatwick by public transport and a short walk. A polite and efficient receptionist welcomed me to the premises, a great start. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I could not find fault anywhere. A pleasant young man on reception greeted me the following morning, confirming my belief that Premier inn value excellent customer services. My two night stay was outstanding. I can wholly recommend this fine hostelry and its friendly staff. I'll be back, Sláinte.
There seems to be a lack of staff in this Premier inn. Check in took a long time, as it was busy. It appears , the same staff member works on reception and the bar and restaurant. The hotel is becoming a bit worn . The lounge/foyer area was too cold , to sit comfortably for any length of time. The staff were all very pleasant. I would return, if I got it for a good price, as it is in a good location.
Great location ..2 minutes walk to East Croydon Station. So easy for trains into London . Perfect for our sightseeing break Although there was a problem with the Air Conditioning System and the lifts, we had a very good experience. Made possible by the nice friendly staff..Mabel on reception..And Teresa in the restaurant, who helped us enjoy a such a great breakfast..Which set us up perfectly for the day . Well done to them especially..So all in all a nice clean convenient and friendly hotel..and great value for money.
Good news first. We had a terrific sleep and thoroughly enjoyed 12noon check out time. Cannot fault the room in any way. Location was also great for us spending the evening in Crystal Palace and close to the train station to get us there and home. Everything was clean and in working order (in the room).
Bad news and the reason for this review. Staff working there were completely incompetent. As we arrived we were told by other guests that the lift wasn't working so had to take the stairs. As we checked in using the self check in another guest came in telling staff that someone was stuck in the lift. The member of staff didn't seem to be bothered so we asked him if someone was actually stuck in the lift to which he replied "Apparently" and said he had knocked on each floor but hadn't heard anything back. I proceeded to go to the lift (on the same floor as reception!) where I heard someone moving around and asked if they were ok and needed help. A woman replied saying she was there with her child and that she had been there for over an hour with no correspondence with staff or anyone else (she later said she didn't want to bang or make too much noise of fear of scaring her child). I went and told the member of staff who said that there was an engineer on their way (this was a Saturday and we all know how long engineers can take at the best of times) We suggested he called emergency services as they had been there for quite a while and there was a child involved. His response was that Premier Inn's policy meant they could not call emergency services on her behalf and that if she wanted she would need to do it herself. We took it upon ourselves (as the staff seemed to have no interest in conversing with the woman) to ask her if she wanted us to call them. She replied yes as she had been trying to call for help for some time but had no signal (as she was in the lift). Within 10 minutes the fire department arrived to help her out of the lift. It is worth noting as well that the second member of staff on duty that day had gone on her lunch break, who we met waiting outside for the fire engine. As she came back in we asked her if she knew about the woman in the lift and she replied "yes, an engineer has been called" - if it was me working that day no way would I have taken my lunch break before the situation had been handled. It is absolutely baffling that this so called policy meant that a woman and her child could have been stuck in the lift for hours on end without toilet or potentially even a drink and by the sounds of it not one of the members of staff had been to check on them or reassure them that they were doing anything about the situation. The entire time we were waiting on emergency services and even when they were there to handle the situation, there was not one member of staff present. The lack of empathy from the staff was horrible and I would honestly not trust them if there was a serious emergency such as a fire or similar to handle the situation. Staff training is needed at this Premier Inn as our society's common sense seems to have gone down the drain.
To sum up, lovely room, do not use the lift. PS. I sincerely hope the woman involved received some kind of compensation or at least an apology.
