149 spaces, including disabled bays. Cost: 8 GBP per 24 hours. No height restriction. Call hotel if parking for large vehicle is required. Car park is managed by Horizon Parking.
Leave the M5 at junction 29. Turn right at the end of the motorway slip road and go straight across the first roundabout. Take the second turning on the right into Fitzroy Road. From the East - follow the A30 under the M5. Go straight across the roundabout, then take the 2nd right into Fitzroy Rd.
Excellent hotel if you have got to get an early flight. Very welcoming and clean . Easy to park and check in . Brewers fayre next door could have been better.
The hotel is great. And just what you expect from a premier inn.
Warm welcome ( thanks Pamela) and great rooms.
But I warn you. Have the breakfast from the brewers fayre next door. But stay away from the even meal. And the meal deal is not worth it.
The meals were dry and hard to swallow. The dessert 🎂 were just a con. We couldn't eat the burgers. The chips you would get better quality at Tesco own brand.
The ice cream Sundays. 75% whipped cream 1 scoop of ice cream and a few chocolate bits.
The breakfast 🥞 was perfect. I would suggest a subway across the road. It would be better value and better tasting.
Pamela showed first class customer service to me , helping me out whith a problem i had. Her customer service is second to none.
Stayed here for work. Great location. Easy to get anywhere from here. Reception staff were all really nice. Really friendly and genuinely interested. Kirsty and Kirsten on reception were lovely to chat with. Room was cleaned well. Would stay here again if in the area.
Fabulous room and excellent customer service, especially from Kirsty on Reception, definitely stay again, brilliant central location to get to surrounding towns and cities
Really lovely hotel. Conveniently located for getting out and about. All the staff were amazing. Really made me feel welcomed. Lovely receptionists. Clean comfortable room. What more could you ask for. Would definitely recommend staying here
It was lovely, very clean and tidy, staff was very kind. Service amazing, parking area really good and spacious, the breakfast was perfect, complimentary water and coffee in the plus room. Traffic wasn’t bad, not far from where I needed to be. Good price for what I paid, worth every penny, it was a great atmosphere, the kids loved it, would recommend due to its friendly staff and environment. Quite quiet in the evening you can’t hear others in the other rooms absolutely amazing for peace and quiet Just not with the kids haha.
Beautiful place. The atmosphere was amazing such nice staff. It was very clean everything was done good i loved my stay. Overall my stay was enjoyable such nice comfy beds. Where I was before getting to the hotel was easy but a lot of traffic. You can’t hear any movements from the neighbours. My stay was definitely worth it for the price i paid.
As with many Premier Inn experiences, I can’t say it’s worth the money. It’s fine for a basic 1–2 night stay where you only need a place to sleep, but not much more than that.
I stayed for one night and paid £72 for a family room on a Saturday. Decent, but definitely pricey for the conditions.
The bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned - there were spiders, which terrified my daughter.
The shower is only an overhead shower (no hose), which isn’t ideal if you need to wash children quickly.
The biggest issue was the smell in the room. It was incredibly strong — a damp, mouldy smell that was impossible to ignore. We only coped because we arrived late and left early, so we weren’t in the room longer than 7–8 hours. I couldn’t face breathing that in any longer. I don’t know if it’s coming from the AC vents or the walls, but something isn’t right. It also wasn’t just our room — my friend in a separate room had exactly the same problem.
Very disappointing overall.
I wouldn’t recommend staying here, and I wouldn’t book again. I doubt this is something that will be fixed quickly.
Very friendly, helpful and efficient reception staff. Had a small problem with my room but it was promptly sorted, even though it was a busy time for the staff.
We received a friendly welcome, and were directed to a nice, clean room. The bathroom was small and standard, but it's always nice to have the option of a bath. There was plenty of car parking space, and the food facilities close by were useful. It was also nice to be able to open the windows to get fresh air, which is sometimes not available at Premier Inns.
The room was cold on entering, however, and it would have been appreciated if the radiator had been on ready for us - though the room heated up quickly. Also, the extra pillows were not "security sealed for protection" (the tag was open), though they were clearly clean. The room was a bit noisy, due to boy racers screaming out of the petrol station at all hours, though in retrospect, we would ask for a room on the other side of the corridor if we ever stayed here again - and one at the end of the corridor, instead of being first. Also, it was appalling the number of disrespectful people in cars and vans who parked in the disabled bays. I appreciate that the car park is not managed directly by the hotel. But the hotel (or Horizon) should have the authority to slap (hard to remove) stickers on these vehicles driven by entitled, selfish people...
But all in all, we had a good stay. All the staff that we encountered were genuinely polite and friendly - credit to them all! And so, I would recommend this hotel, and be happy to return if we needed to be in the area.
Handy for the M5 but a bit fiddly to find because it isn’t visible until you’re already entering the car park. Charge for parking. Not all Premier Inns have accessible rooms but this one has. Everywhere looked spotless.
Breakfast is served at the Brewer’s Fare (as it should be spelled!) next door and is plentiful if not cordon bleu.
Exactly what you would expect from a Premier Inn. Easy to find, reasonablely clean and comfortable, with an attached restaurant. The breakfast was very good, and it was very convenient to be able to eat in the restaurant in the evening. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the car park needs work, not to mention someone to pick up the litter. The petrol station was handy as we had driven up from West Yorkshire and were at the beginning of a 12 night driving tour, so being able to quickly fill up the car before moving on was very helpful. I've taken a star off due to the state of the car park.
Convenient location for motorway and 5 mins drive from services with fast EV chargers. Room was clean and very comfortable with bath and shower. Parking is £8.00 for 24hrs. Very quiet at night.
I will never stay in a Premier in again. The fact that it was the weekend Exeter university students were moving in to their halls meant the price of the room was inflated to over double the usual rate.
We paid £180 for a room that if you book this weekend would be £71 and we were met with a dirty car park, very basic facilities, a very musty smelling room, mould in the bath and a receptionist who was totally aghast at how much we were paying. When they saw what the room cost was, they took a massive in take of breath and said "are you only staying for one night? that is SO expensive, wow, I can't believe that!" not really something you want to hear or realise that you have been completely ripped off!
Honestly, I have no more words!
Apart from the uneven and potholed car park, the hotel was first class.
Receptionist polite, efficient and courteous,in fact, she was so friendly,we chatted to her for 5 mins or so,whilst she gave us the "lowdown"on the surrounding area and attractions!
Found the rooms to be scrupulously clean, tidy,no minor faults to be noted!
At reception,we booked for our evening meal next door at the Brewers Fayre and found that a covered walkway linked them together which we were grateful for due to the rainy weather!
The hotel was easy to find off a roundabout, with a petrol station-cum-convenience store in front which was 24 hours!
Would have no qualms about staying in this "Inn"even though there were closer ones to where we wanted to go!
Upon arrival was met by a friendly receptionist but she was in conversation with a young man who was eating a McDonald's whilst standing at the reception desk. I went to my room on the first floor the room was smelly, dirty carpets, ceiling tile missing exposing pipework and the cover from the xplair in the bathroom was lying in the washbasin, I opened the window to get some fresh air into the room and discovered that the net curtain at the window didn't cover all of the window. The window was covered in bird droppings and there was a large pile of droppings on the window sill. I reported the smell, missing tile and cover to the reception and she said she would correct it. The ceiling tile was replaced and the cover put back on and they sprayed the room with air freshener which I was surprised at I thought they would have moved me but no so I had to stay in the room with the window open all night which was noisy as car park right outside window.
Nice friendly welcome at check-in and room was ok - standard Premier Inn - but lack of Aircon made it a poor night’s sleep as the room was warm. Being close to the motorway ruled out leaving the window open.
But we checked in at 9pm and were told the bars closed at 10 - pretty crap seeing as we intended meeting up with family in the bar as we were all there for a nearby family wedding.
We went into the bar at 9.20 and were told the till was closing at 9.30!!
Too early and very disappointing.
Great hotel, very friendly staff and quick check in. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Also had a lovely note and some jammie dodgers left in the room for us on arrival which was a lovely touch
So comfortable that my son wants to return to sleep on the bed
High-quality but affordable food at Brewer's Fayre
Definitely returning
