The staff where amazing friendly very welcoming and went above and beyond would highly recommend to stay here clean tidy and room very high standard
What a lovely hotel. Everyone was very helpful( nothing was too much bother). The check in was quick and efficient, the room very clean, shower great and the bed sooo comfy. There was plenty of choice at both the breakfast buffet and with the evening menu. The hotel is only a short walk into town to the shops and the theatre ( we came to go to the panto).
All in all a great stay. Thank you everyone. We will be back.
Very enjoyable stay, made even better by very welcoming staff. Particular mention must go to Matthew, who somehow managed to serve 30 restaurant customers entirely on his on his own, whilst remaining calm, efficient and charming to all the guests in the restaurant. This gentleman's skills and potential need to recognised by Premier Inn, as he needs to be fast tracked onto the management training program. We were told that the hotel will shortly be extended and look forward to a return visit on 2026.
No longer a Chef and Brewer pub, just a dining area now for hotel patrons. Food OK but limited menu. Hotel room was clean but in need of a upgrade. Room smelt fausty due to poor ventilation. Windows couldn't be opened and vents above the windows seemed blocked. Only air circulation was when you opened the room door. Tap to turn on shower/bath was faulty in our room, turning on but not off, requiring the receptionist to have to attend with a wrench each morning. Not ideal. Positives...staff were very helpful, cheap, good for exploring New Forest and coast. If we stayed again would be for price only.
Lovely stay. We have stayed in a few Premier Inns recently and appreciaye that they are budget hotels. However the staff made it more memorable than the others. Matthew, Reece and Mark showed customer service at its best. Very helpful and friendly.
This is one of the best Premier inns we have stayed in. Attentive staff and nothing was too much trouble. Just a lovely place to stay
Despite the hotel being truly beautiful, our arrival experience was shockingly unprofessional. We reached the hotel around 10:30–11:00 PM after an eight-hour drive, only to be met with two receptionists whose behavior was dismissive, irritated, and openly confrontational.
The blonde receptionist did not greet us, avoided any eye contact, and walked away to the back office without acknowledging us. When I asked politely for check-in assistance, she responded with:
“I need to finish my work. If you’re tired, that’s your problem.”
There were no other guests, yet we were deliberately kept waiting 15–20 minutes, during which the second receptionist also sided with her colleague and raised her voice at us, insisting that arriving at this hour was “our responsibility” and not their concern.
Afterward, we were given a noticeably worse room and told again, in a dismissive tone, that arriving late was “our problem.”
The hotel itself is impressive, but the attitude and conduct of the reception staff completely overshadowed what could have been a wonderful stay. A hotel of this quality deserves front-desk staff who meet its standards.
Matthew offered a great service from moment i checked in helped me with local knowledge and also arranged a taxi for my morning trip great atmosphere off the hotel and also rooms are clean and no issues staff very helpfull. Keep up the great work Matthew.
I thought the location was great. The atmosphere from the staff (particularly Matthew, Kiera and Mark) made it a friendly place to stay. My room was clean and very comfortable and my three day stay was good value. A very lovely start to the day was to enjoy a full breakfast.
Excellent staff! Charlene and her team offer an outstanding service, whether it’s 2pm or 2am, they were always super helpful. Domi, especially, was a delight to deal with; service with a massive smile and always went the extra mile to help when possible! Honourable mentions to Reece, Grace and Luke.
Ended up staying there for three months, whilst working away from home, and having great staff at the hotel really made the difference in terms of an enjoyable stay.
Was in 6 or so different rooms during my stay, both Double and Plus rooms. They were all the standard comfy Premier Inn beds in well lit rooms, with clean bathrooms; you know what you’re getting every time with a Premier Inn. Breakfast was good, dinners were fine, again standard Premier Inn menu. Staff were always accommodating when I had awkward shifts and would prep and store my dinner until I got back.
If I were in the area again I would definitely stay here again.
While the hotel itself was OK apparently at weekends it's used as a homeless shelter..I'm all for helping the homeless but when your paying full price for a hotel and you end up with people useing it as basicly a drop In center I don't think it's very good.
We stayed for a night with our three year old, we arrived around 8pm, the person at check in was very friendly and it was easy to get to our room. We had lots of space and the room was clean and tidy. The TV was a good size and there was a mirror for makeup/getting ready.
We had pre booked breakfast and was greeted by Matthew who was really accommodating to our needs and checked we were happy and communicated throughout, he also even gave us some recommendations for the area, his colleague Oliver took our order and was also friendly and helpful. Ben the Chef had some trouble with the gas in the kitchen but managed to quickly resolve the issue and made a lovely cooked breakfast for us all.
We really enjoyed our brief stay here and would be happy to book again if we were to visit the area and would highly recommend.
Excellent stay at Premier Inn Maidstone Town Centre! The hotel is in a great location, rooms are comfortable and spotless, and the staff are fantastic. Luke on reception was especially welcoming and helpful , he really made us feel at home. Would happily return!
Matthew, Kiera and Mark were helpful from the start of my stay. I was with a walking group and nothing was too much effort. From helping with luggage to bar service and excellent breakfast I could not fault
We rolled up at this hotel at a quarter to nine on a November evening, after a tortuous drive from South Wales.
Admittedly, the place IS a bit hard to find! When we arrived, tired and hungry, we received a warm welcome from Olly on reception, but it was accompanied by the unwelcome news that the restaurant had stopped serving food a few minutes earlier.
My wife went into the restaurant and threw herself on the mercy of the wonderful Reece, who sat us down and provided toast, butter, marmalade and peanut butter to sustain us. He was clearly closing up for the night, but insisted we take as long as we needed. In fact Mark, the chef, did say that he would have found us something to eat by way of a dessert, but my wife is lactose intolerant, and there was nothing suitable for her. Nevertheless we appreciated this kind gesture.
A comfortable bed, a room with a bath and a good night’s sleep revived us, and in the morning Matthew served us a very good cooked breakfast, made to order in the adjoining Beefeater Restaurant by the chef. Matthew’s courtesy and friendly, helpful manner were much appreciated.
This Premier Inn is a good stopping-off point en route to Southampton. It has a large, well-lit car park which is free to use. The courtesy and kindness of the excellent staff who run the place will be long remembered. And we will certainly come back next time we’re in the area.
I arrived at the hotel on my home whilst travelling through the New Forest. I didn't book before I turned up. For some unknown reason, its cheaper to book on line than in person. I stood at reception and booked my room on line. Weird. The receptionist was so lovely, but I failed to take her name. sorry. I booked the premier plus room and they were on the first floor, so the receptionist helped me take my suitcase up the stairs as theres no lifts. There are rooms on the ground floor.
You know what you're getting with Premier Plus rooms. It was a lovely big room. The bed was very firm.
I paid for breakfast and I picked 8 am. You have your meals in the Bell Inn at the front of the building. A friendly staff member greated me. I saw the receptionist I'd met the day before and was very chatty. Theres a continental choice and you can choose from the menu for a cooked breakfast and its served to you. It was very nice.
This Premier Inn is small and is In a beautiful area. I would definately consider staying here again.
We stayed overseas on the way to the Isle of Wight and we're so impressed with the staff. From the moment we arrived they were friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel is a little tired but spotlessly clean, and the food was good. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
The hotel itself was ‘tired’, but all the staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Had an issue with the room but was swiftly resolved.
accommodating to disability and understand of SEN needs and wheelchair friendly incredible that they had a makaton / sign language symbol of Thankyou on their children activity menu at tea time my son was very excited to see it and he started signing thankyou lovely food in resteraunt. Helpful staff Charlene made some great adjustments and gave good tips and advice and Dominika and Recce (i think his name was) done brilliant in resteraunt and always really helpful and welcoming. As family have recently moved near the area were looking for a base to stay when we visit and this will definitely be our choice every time .
Hotel informed us that renovations were due.
The staff were exceptional especially Matthew ,Mark, Ollie Reece and the girls as was the cooked breakfast. The meal deal was great and the curry we had for our evening meal was delicious but Very limited choice on the menus .
Be kind to the staff as not their fault and should not be put in that position.
Will be a nice place when the refurbishment is done as a good base for people visiting the area. Bonus - plenty of parking
