Vriendelijk personeel. Prima kamer en faciliteiten.
Heel fijn dat je pas om 12 uur uit hoeft te checken.
It was great experience staying here on my birthday, Great location, budjet friendly hotel and everything is accessible nearby (Tesco, restaurants, Bars etc.), we stayed in Room 406 which was an upgrade to Sea view providing by the lovely staff members, We stayed in different hotels but this hit something different as this room has both Sea view and City view which was a great feeling that someone can enjoy during Sunset time.
Thank you once again to all the staff members (specially Housekeeping & Front office) for providing complimentaries on my birthday and special thanks to Sharon who was polite, friendly and professional. I highly recommend this property.
Was really nice just the bathroom the bath was quiet high to get in and out of and nothing to help you get in also bathroom mats should just be in the room it’s not clear you have to get them from reception it need to be clear and alot bigger. Overwise can’t fault the hotel but the car park need to be signed I bit better
Friendly staff, great location and breakfast was spot on 👍
Had a view of the sea, and parking on site.. also site was very clean..
The stay at the Premier Inn, Thorpe Bay, was extremely clean and the staff were very professional and very helpful at all times. Value for money was very good and the location was a short taxi ride from all local attractions.
Booked a slot tonight for dinner, arrived, sat down and ordered drinks and food. I had the tomato and garlic linguine with a chicken breast and a pizzaette on the side. After an hour watching numerous customers that arrived after us have their starters, mains and desserts I asked when I might be expecting my simple dish. The answer was that the chef had been really busy and was about to lose it?!? I looked around at the other twelve guests and wondered who’d ordered something to make the chef so?
Our dinners finally came but unfortunately they were someone elses and we’re whisked away from under our knifes and forks ( I’d have eaten anything at this point!) with many apologies. After another wait my dinner was finally placed in front of me, it was a shame it was stone cold!!!!
I told the staff and it was whisked away from me. So near yet so far away!!!
After a blast in the microwave it came back as a solid ball of pasta with a very dry piece of chicken, which was slightly burnt somehow, on top .
What a culinary delight!!! And it only cost me twenty pounds!!!
I felt sorry for the staff for being held ransom by such an inept cook!!!
Super friendly staff. Received a warm welcome upon arrival, room was spotless, powerful shower and plenty of hot water, good hairdryer, no late night noise so had a restful nights sleep. Only minor was that parking was £8 and it would have been handy to have a usb socket by the bed. But for £60 odd can’t ask for more.
I stay in a lot of Premier Inns and I always stay in the Thorpe Bay hotel when in Southend. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The rooms clean, comfortable, and seldom with any problems. There are a few good cafes and restaurants nearby (for breakfast, Italian and Cantonese food) and the on site Toby Carvery, which I also like. The hotel is a bit older than many Premier Inns, but well maintained nevertheless. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Great to be able to secure a sea view but the hotel is very tired and expensive for what it was. Parking was expensive, food expensive and the room expensive. Would describe as poor value for money. Rooms are tired and falling apart, the paintings kept falling off the walls. Food was plated up horribly and looked like something you’d serve to a toddler. The one dinner we had was £60 for two rather small and very unappealing plates of food, a couple of drinks and desserts we couldn’t finish because they were ghastly. Staff were friendly enough but incredibly incompetent, the waiting staff in the restaurant had no clue and got our orders wrong 2 or 3 times before we got what we originally asked for. Very disappointing. Hotel in dire need of a refurb and some staff training/recruitment.
stayed here on sunday 9th Nov, no lift but we did recieve an email just before to tell us, we did not find the bed as comfy as we normally do it was a diffarent bed, and the breakfast is not all you can eat cooked breakfast you order and it is brought out to you, which isnt the same, so dont know if i would return to this one.
Lovely welcoming staff in the bar.
Room clean and tidy.
Bathroom nice and fresh.
Shower not working. Too tired to report it in the evening. So had a sort of bath but I really wanted to wash my hair.
Reported it in the morning when I went to breakfast. Guy behind the bar went to "fix" it no eye contact and very mumbled apology.
Went up to shower. Still not work. This time water poured out between the pipe and the rain head. So I tried to use the hand held shower part to wash my hair over the bath. But this drizzled and then stopped completely. Glad I hadn't yet got shampoo on. Water stopped completely no matter which way I turned the tap. Just what I didn't need. Stressful time visiting relative in end of life care at the local hospital...
Now trying to find somewhere else to stay to night.
When reported back to the mumbling staff member he just typed and didn't say anything. After a few mins I said what are you actually doing. Writing a report he said. He handed me a scappy but of paper with a customer service number.
He didn't have anythjng to add and didn't want to apologise.
I think he must have been covering usual front of house staff. Didn't look or act like he wanted to be there.
Very accessible budget hotel with guest parking, room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The lady on reception, Melissa was so lovely, polite and helpful Premier Inn should be proud to have her as an employee. I would highly recommend staying here .no breakfast but there is a Toby carvery about 10 yards away which does unlimited breakfast for £7.99 .
Very quite clean room. Spacious . The receptionist was delightful . Her name is Melissa . Very nice . I asked for biscuits but she apologised that the vending machine only sold confectionery. Then she gave me box of shortbread biscuits ! She wouldn’t accept payment either. A breath of fresh air !
The lady at the front was super lovely made me feel at home all the services were great, slight smell in our room but other than that everything was really good
Often stay here, great setting and lovely staff! Very clean room and we are always chuffed with our stays!!!
Have more booked!
Stayed for one night, very comfortable but room was a little tired.
Breakfast at the restaurant next was excellent.
An excellent service by the receptionists, particularly Marie, who was very good, and went the extra mile
Great location very friendly and lovely staff . The place needs a refurb very grubby the worst prem inn we’ve stayed in. Not what you normally get in premier inn .
Standard Premier Inn, clean with a view onto the channel. Very friendly staff and especially Betty in the Brewers Fayre was very attentive.
My wife and I normally enjoy all aspects of staying at Premier Inns but this visit fell well short. Due to incoming bad weather we decided on leaving the IOW early. Our taxi had been booked to pick us up at Southsea to take so to Heathrow so we decided to be safe and book the evening here. On arrival we were given a room on the top floor and the receptionist said the lifts are not working. We had heavy suitcases and asked if we could have a room on the lower floor. The answer was NO, that is the room you have been allocated.
We are both aged 69 and she could see that we would struggle and we surely did. The room clean tidy and everything that we would expect. The dinner quality of the food good, service poor. The only person with a smile was the young lady serving drinks at the bar. Breakfast that was totally different great service and good quality food. The manager a smartly dressed foreign speaking lady led a very good team. If it wasn’t for the breakfast and the room the score would have been lower.
Ideal location for us. Easy parking, but expensive.
Bedroom was good, bathroom good. Breakfast good. Just feel that Premier inns are becoming expensive , by the time you pay for breakfast and parking, you could be staying a lovely character star rated hotel with a freshly cooked breakfast?
