I stayed here while on training for work. Absolutely loved my stay here . Room was comfortable, food was good and the staff were so friendly and happy to help. Alan in particular was absolutely brilliant! He made our stay here so enjoyable!
Rooms are as expected for a PI although looking a little tired. Chipped desk, walls/paint and bath panel. No USB ports in the room, which were needed for a family of 4 staying. Luckily had 1 charger, but should've brought four!
Beds were clean and comfortable as was the bathroom plus there was plenty of toilet paper! Always a win for a family room.
Lovely, friendly staff on reception and in restaurant. Food was excellent quality, well cooked and very tasty. Limited selection of bar drinks, but adequate enough for our family.
Room lovely and big, even for a family room, 224. Very clean.
Although hotel full, staff very helpful and smiley. Especially duty Manager. Food limited on Friday a the were waiting a delivery, but the gammon steak was very tasty, and i don't think it was even the Chef working. Well done
Playing fields noisey
Staff not happy in their work.
Breakfast supplies ran out.
Tuff nights sleep due to people running around up above our room.
At breakfast the front doors kept opening and stayed open so it was freezing all through out both days!
Staff seemed hard faced and not helpful.
The drinks at their bar very expensive badly made shandy pint and southern comfort and coke .....wait for it.....£18..!!!. Wont be doing that again the pub opposite half the price!!!
We were here in March and all I can say is Wow..... what a transformation rooms are lovely and the restaurant and bar beautifully decorated- smaller but 'friendlier' staff are lovely will be back
Too expensive for 1 night's stay travelodge was in the same area and less than half the price They were fully booked for the date I needed os partner was booked into the hospital for surgery on this date or I would have booked another with them
The rooms have no heating, apart from a small electric radiator thats suitable for a room half the size. The room was incredibly cold and I ended up getting a cold. I will not return to this particular Premier Inn until they get centralised heating.
When we arrived after 6pm we went to our room which was still not ready. Both single beds for the kids had not been made. Whilst trying to get showered etc we had to let in staff who came in and out a few times to make the beds. This is while 4 of us were trying to shower and get ready. The staff seemed to think this was funny as the 2 girls kept giggling away at themselves whilst in our room. This was very awkward and made the stay as a whole off putting.
Even when trying to book in the check in machines did not work, the staff sat and watched us struggle to use these offering no help. When I went to the desk to check in it seemed i had made them for work they didn't want to do as the girl seemed very unprofessional in her manner.
STAFF ..... 5 Stars !
Firstly , and most importantly , I want to review the staff . They are fantastic, and despite running around doing lots of duties, remain friendly , smiling and professional. My thanks go to them all , and especially Shannon who made extending my stay ,due to hospital visiting , as easy as ABC. Thank you.
Hotel Building .. 3 stars
Bedroom was cold , ground floor and god knows where the wind came from. You are given a heater to warm your bedroom through ,and a fan , I suppose for air in the summer . The site says ,no AC and you kind of expect some fresh air to come in ( not the wind from somewhere unexplained ) Leads to a really stuffy room . The bed was awful , and I have stayed in a Glasgow one recently and it was bliss. The floorboards are shocking. Even in our own ground floor room , but the person upstairs got up for the day at 530 am. And that was me awake !! By the time they got themselves showered and in and out ....that was my sleep gone. The floor in the dining room and bar area is so sticky you can't walk in it without making a noise , and I don't doubt the cleanliness of the hotel.
This hotel is great for location to the hospital and on a good bus route . But it needs serious updating. I have stayed here multiple times over the years and it's sadly gone down in my estimation.
Charging central Glasgow prices for this is nuts , unfortunately I had to pay to be close to an ill parent.
Once again , the staff are your biggest credit. Really great team.
Had my reservations at the start, Air con in room was off, but they did supply a radiator, extractor in bathroom didn't work, that said the room was clean and tidy and ready on our arrival, check in was easy and fast with the automated system. My 5 star rating is based on the staff, couldn’t do enough and an absolute pleasure to deal with especially Shannon and Alan. Well worth the money all round for a stay with breakfast.
Was a little worried with all the negative comments about dated rooms but you know what you’re getting with a Premier Inn, clean, tidy rooms and for us we had a great stay for the price. Breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly, especially the team helping us out with the new check in procedure.
I satyed at this hotel for 2 x nights this week. A special thankyou to all the staff at Premier Inn Newton Mearns (especially Paula) for a great service.
I was delighted to learn that I was the very first customer in the newly refurbished Restaurant. This new area was superbly finished (great decor), and the food and service was excellent.
I could not recommend this hotel enough. I will be booking next time I am on Business in the Glasgow area.

Me and my family had dinner here tonight and the chef (Beth) did an amazing job. Our food was outsdtanding and tasted amazing!
Stayed in room 102 and must say if your after a early night then this room not good as you can hear people walking up and down the stairs.
The condition on carpets and walls in public area need a good clean but this has been a common thing on last few days in premier inn.
The room is a typical room but the cleaning is not as good as it used to be I had hairs in shower area and carpet needed a clean as there was some crumbs again I have noticed this at other premier inn around the UK are they under staffed and rushing around also the tables where peeling as in the vinyl from the wood
The staff on the night shift was great and breakfast staff was good as well they seem to be rushing around so again are they doing more due to lack of staff and this meant people had to wait at the reception or bar etc for longer than normal.
I would stay again but definitely not in room 102 or near the stairs as they are noisy and hopefully has had a good clean down to make it nice in the public area and just make it nicer looking also fix the air con in the rooms
Very nice and clean hotel, modern fully equipped rooms. The bathroom was absolutely spotless, no funny odours anywhere in the room.
Staff were clearly harassed by a busy hotel but were still very polite and helpful.
Could do with better parking though, not many spaces for size of hotel and spaces very narrow too.
Three members of staff did not acknowledge us or welcome us on arrival. They continued to sit and chat to each other at a table in the dining room, even although they could see us standing waiting to check in.
I noticed a self check-in machine at the check-in desk, but my phone genuinely had 2% battery after a long day traveling, so I decided I'd rather check in with one of the staff members because I didn't want find that my phone died halfway through the check-in process. I'd also just rather check in with a member of staff when arriving at 10pm after traveling 200 miles.
We continued to wait, but still no one acknowledged us. So I spoke from the check-in desk into the dining room. I said hello, and asked if we could check in. One member of staff shook her head, rolled her eyes and reluctantly stood up. She then shouted over to us "Have you not got a booking reference?", indicating that she wanted us to use the self check-in machine.
I felt uncomfortable as I was not expecting her to react like that, and ended up using the self check-in machine. The woman went back to sit with her colleagues and began chatting again when she saw me moving to the self check-in machine. Because I was flustered, I forgot to ask about breakfast timings and when we had to check out in the morning. I just Googled the check out time from my room, and didn't bother having breakfast in the hotel. I just wanted to leave the hotel straight away if I'm being honest.
I would really hate for anyone else, particularly any elderly people, to be met with this attitude when checking in. I would advise against staying at this hotel until this has been resolved and the staff are at least willing to speak to you, let alone offer any help when you arrive.
My trip was to include a parkrun on saturday and the Great Scottish Run on Sunday.
This hotel is not central but a 77 bus, outside of the hotel, runs into central Glasgow.
As with all Premier Inn hotels the staff were great, polite and great to talk with. My room was clean and warm and as expected.
I ate in the hotel on Friday night after a day of storms and found the meal really nice indeed and value for money.
If and when I return to Glasgow I will definitely be stating here again.
Stayed here from8th-10th October it’s easy to get to London as I had an England football match to go to. I have stayed a couple of time here never had a problem. I’d definitely recommend getting breakfast. The chef lez cooks brilliant breakfast and is always very friendly with everyone. You can’t beat his breakfast.
building work in reception not ideal during the evening and back up chef so limited food not ideal
very happy i do not have to spend any more time at this hotel
also the car parking is chargeable no rebate
if possible i would book at the other premier inns in Gillingham and Chatham
Clean room and comfortable shower and sheets.
