We arrived at the hotel 45 minutes earlier than check in at 3pm, when we went to reception the gentleman behind the desk greeted us with a Hi, I greeted him back and proceeded to tell him that I had checked in online already, his response you can't check in until 3, i.asked if it was a possibility to check in slightly earlier and the response I got was you will have to pay £15 to check in early. There was no apology or I will check your room to see if it's ready, he basically wasn't bothered, we came back 30 minutes later when we saw other guests arrive and waited to check in.
We headed to reception once again, at this.point a very pleasant receptionist had just come on to shift, who started to help with the back log of guests. We ended up with the not so happy receptionist, no greeting, just name, he couldn't figure out what he.was doing, not sure if it had to do something to do with me checking in online in the end we had the female receptionist who was lovely.
The room was clean, the other hotel staff such as housekeepers and the servers at breakfast were all very friendly and welcoming, it was just when we were first 'greeted' by the male receptionist it put us off. We've stayed at many premier inns but this experience was negative for us
Great value for money. The staff were really fabulous, very helpful but not intrusive. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were good so that we had a full night's sleep with no problems.
Thank you to Sarah at the reception for taking care of us 😁
We arrived early from Canada and she did her magic to find us clean rooms with early check ins.
Brilliant breakfast & dinner service.
Amazing & helpful staff especially Karolina who helped with a smooth checking in & provided an iron & fresh towels.
Lovely clean hotel with great welcome from reception staff. Very reasonably priced just for the one night. Used the restaurant in the evening and Peter our waiter couldn't do enough for us. Incredibly knowledgable about the food and really an all round pleasant chap.
When I first approached the hotel, I thought it looked basic and a little tired however, when we booked in at reception, the staff were so helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The room was spotless and the bed was superb. The traffic become a little noisy in the evening but, we were directly on the link road, so to be expected. Breakfast was so tasty and good variety of items were offered. The lady chef was such a friendly happy person, nothing was to much for her. All the restaurant staff were pleasant and worked tirelessly clearing used plates etc. The price of our room/breakfast was very reasonable. We will definitely re visit..
Not sure why there are so many bad reviews for here as I thought it was excellent, probably the one of the best premier inn hotels in the North West, the hotel was in a countryside area, clean, tidy, comfortable, quiet, friendly staff, and the room was nicer than expected, very spacious, clean, super comfy big bed, fresh bedding and towels, nice big tv, even with people in the rooms on both sides of the room you couldn't hear anything, had a great nights sleep. The only thing that let the stay down was the shower and the water pressure was poor.Apart from the shower and tne water pressure everything was great and I will definately be staying again next year.
had a one night stay here on a saturday night for two reasons one convenient location to visit a friend and secondly to assess its viability for a larger group trip. i had read very poor reviews but wanted to find out for myself .How wrong could the reviews have been this place was excellent id go as far as to say one of my best premier inn / beefeater stays ive had . clean tidy hotel and room ,quiet comfortable and frsh smelling throughout ,excellent customer service both in the hotel and the adjoined beefeater resteraunt where the mixed grill i had ranks up with the best if not the best one ive ever had in this type of establishment . all in all overjoyed with the stay and will 99% use it for our group booking of 8 rooms next year .
Our room had a double bed and wasn't comfortable. Bathroom was functional .
Huge stains on the dressing table chair.
Food in the restaurant was over cooked in the fryer and the cooked breakfast was very poor and some items Cold
Hotel was okay, staff was very welcoming. Big downside was the bed was really uncomfortable and the shower had little to no pressure and temperature tap was very temperamental. Also shower rail which had my towel on it was covered in rust 🤢 fairly disappointed hence the 2 star rating. Friendliness of staff was the only saving factor
First day of stay was normal but day 2 was absolutely horrible as there was no power and no emergency arrangements were made for power cut and staff wasn't much helpful.
For £35 , A run down tired old dump to hang your head.
Sadly I had to pay £113 because it was a Sat. Night.
The smell of drugs overwhelmed.
The attached Beefeater restaurant is a hot mess of the alcoholic, drug addicted, drug dealing and mentally ill.
Lovely
We really enjoyed our stay but want to give honest feedback.
Let’s start with the down sides:
* the hotel itself is looking very tired, carpets are faded/stained, paint is faded/chipped
* food - disappointing breakfast quality. The food wasn’t cooked well enough, I know this could be considered self preference but tomatoes still crunchy, sausages bearly brown (even on one side), mushrooms dry and chewy (appeared to be cooked in the oven as opposed to the frying pan)
Okay let’s go for the good things:
* Staff were great, nothing was too much trouble and very friendly
* TGI 20% off discount was great
* Good location
I would go back again.
Staff very so lovely - really friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was ok, usual choices for hot food & then pastries, toast, cereals, yoghurt etc. Tea, coffee, juices, herbal teas all available.
Rooms were comfortable and clean, but hotel a little tired and could be refreshed to improve it.
I complained at the time of my stay and everything has been put on the system.
1. Noise. My partner hardly slept. We were in room 1. The hotel was only at 75% capacity but were place by choice under the stairwell. At 5am in the morning (Sunday morning), my partner was woken with what sounded like furniture being moved upstairs. Then there was a loose floorboard upstairs and whoever was working that time of the morning, possibly maintenance or house staff, kept walking on it. After that there was a sound like construction piling, but in the ceiling. Sarah was shown the clunking, which continued for over 2 hours. This was horrendous.
2. When we arrived back at the hotel after a meal, my partner wanted some lemonade. We were shocked to learn that the bar had closed at 10am. I used to come to this hotel every couple of weeks and know Sarah well on reception. However the lady that was on reception was rude. The bar manager was also behind the hotel reception and between them stating if we wanted a drink then use the vending machine. I said there is no lemonade, sprite or similar as she couldn't have coke because of her heart condition. The reply was "WELL GET WATER THEN". The bar manager, after some to and froing of conversation stated you can go to the shops if that isn't suitable. The curtesy of these 2 was non existent, and although had drank at the meal with my father, was not too inebriated to be aggressive and more disgusted at the attitudes. Low and behold, I said "Right I'll just leave it then, but not happy" and proceeded to go to my room. THEN realised my fiancée had the key card and tired I said "can you let me in please". I couldn't believe the receptionist. She huffed and when going around the back of reception, mumbled alike of "FFS" I won't elaborate. She didn't know I could hear her. When she came through the door I was livid. I stated "What did you say"? She looked shocked... I said did you tell me to F off or FFS? She mumbled and said "Do you want to go in or not, glaring at me and proceeded to let me in... I was disgusted at this complete unprofessionalism of the staff. For one, I am sure that there was a possibility they could of arranged to get some lemonade for my partner, as it was before 10.30pm. I have had pubs and realise the directive of head office may of changed the opening hours and had cashed up. HOWEVER, this is a company directive and your licencing hours of this establishment allows service, so this cannot be an excuse. Some customer service could have been implimented here.
LASTLY, and I know that you will say this isn't a hotel problem, (but I paid you for inclusive meal deal as the intermediary, so you have some liability in my eyes, as not paid to the restaurant, the breakfast was worse than a back street café in a deprived New York drug town. The scrambled eggs were that hard I couldn't chew them. The bacon was that thin I could have used it a writing paper and made a thud when I hit it on the plate along with a burnt smoke of uncleaned grill. The sausage was ok and the hash browns were greasy. I literally felt physically sick after trying to eat and left it all on the plate. My partner also didn't touch it apart from 1 sausage. We put the plates on an adjoining tackle and had coffee and a croissant. These plates stayed on the table for over half an hour. Since I used to come her every month for over a year while visiting, the hotel and restaurant has become a 1 star establishment from the warm and friendly and inviting places they used to be. It is a disgrace now and will be reviewing on all platforms to make people aware of this. The least I feel is needed here is a full refund, especially as this is your policy, or used to be, with a guaranteed good rest and experience, at best some additional recompense for the huge inconvenience and disgusting breakfast that we paid, to be honest expensive breakfast, which we couldn't even make 10% use of.
LASTLY AGAIN.... I took a huge hairball out of the shower/bath plug. I took pictures and also showed Sarah who was disgusted. The sink tap dribbled and had to put our own bin liner in the bin as it was just laid on top of it. BUT the hair issue was the biscuit on what was the worst stay at ANY hotel I have EVER had.
There was nothing Premier about this stay
We had the best time! The rooms although a bit dated are spotlessly clean and the hotel was very quiet especially during the night.
The staff in the dining room and kitchen were exceptionally welcoming and friendly especially the cook/chef. She is Polish (i didn't get her name) and went above and beyond to ensure all our dietary requirements were met! We had a coeliac and a vegetation with us and she remembered this without us asking the second day! Such a credit to your business! We were visiting Miniatura and will be making sure we stay here next time. !!
Clean, tidy and comfortable rooms staff are always very welcoming and friendly to me and my partner when we book to stay which is quite regular.
The staff were very helpful, always very happy to assist. We needed other on-bookings with Premier, in Thirsk and Washington, before returning to Coventry (Binley) and the manager helped us immensely. The rooms were exactly what we wanted and needed, nothing required 'over the top' and everything always clean. Will certainly stay here again if I return this way.
Well sited near to lots of local facilities, garages, supermarkets etc., The usual confortable beds and rooms very clean and staff welcoming you as if they were really pleased to see you. All this and a resonable price compared to some other well known brands of this type of hotels!!
