Very clean, comfy and quiet. Staff are friendly and knowledgable of the area. Food was good value in the pub/restaurant next door. Short walk to the central tube line.
I’ve stayed here many times prior to 2024, so when I needed to visit again, it felt like a no-brainer to return to what I knew. Unfortunately, it now seems that was a mistake.
On my first visit back, the shower was barely functioning — extremely weak, but just about usable. It certainly couldn’t run a bath; it would have taken at least an hour.
This time, I booked a Premier Plus room, which was very nice overall. However, in the morning I woke up expecting a decent shower, and it was a huge disappointment. The water was only trickling out, barely warm, and not even enough to wash properly. The sink pressure was even worse. When I mentioned this to a staff member, she said they had been waiting on engineers for a while — not reassuring.
Sadly, based on these repeated issues, I don’t think I’ll be returning again.
The hotel was clean, warm and comfortable with the service at reception and at breakfast second to none. Our thanks to Charlene in particular for looking after us in the Dining Room (the exterior needs a lick of paint though…)!
I arrived from Heathrow about 5 hours before the check-in time and was expecting to wait in the foyer until 12pm. I was warmly greeted by the hotel manager Roy and Trudy at reception. Much to my surprise I was checked in, shown to my room and offered a hot breakfast, all at no additional cost. Roy and Trudy's exemplory customer service is a true credit to Premier Inn Gosport.
The in-house staff are amazing!!
Special shout out to the infectiously delightful Sophie 😊 Sophie is warm, genuine, engaging, and absolutely hilarious.!! ( also has an amazing singing voice!!) Nothing is too much trouble for Sophie. Sophie is also a credit to Premier Inn Gosport.
The entire team are amazing and genuinely hospitable.

Oh, and the room, bed and shower are top notch.
I would most definitely stay here again!
We arrived early evening when it was already dark. On approaching the hotel it looked like the hotel had closed down. The lighting on the Premier Inn signage was off. The building behind the signage was cordoned off with iron railings and barriers. One or two workmen could be seen around the building which had sparse lighting in a few rooms. I drove in but there seemed no where to go so I reversed thinking the hotel must have been relocated. But there was no sign of a Premier Inn at another location further down the road. So I decided to call the hotel. No answer. I decided to drive back and perhaps ask one of the builders about the apparent disappearance of the Premier Inn. However, as I drove in the second time I spotted a car driving around the first building into a dark entrance. This road was not readily visible from the road entrance, especially in the dark.
As we drove around the building we saw the reception of the Premier Inn and some dim lighting. There was a small but adequate car park. We queued at reception. There were two people in front of us. The gentleman at the front was complaining about the fact his heating was blowing out cold. He was not very happy and the receptionist had changed his room but she did not seem very welcoming. When it came to our turn we mentioned about the dark entrance and the fact it appeared that the hotel had closed down and were told that many people mention it. No apology or care. Why has this been left?
Our room was freezing when we arrived. The heating did not work properly. We turned it up but it kept on going off every hour. I had to repeatedly reset it. Consequently as soon as we warmed up it was cold again. The cold water in the sink tap came out warm so we couldn't use it to fill the kettle. We had to buy bottled water. The hot water came out very slowly. Basically the sink tap did not work. We did not bother to complain as we felt this would fall on deaf ears. We had no energy after our long drive.
We nearly never used the shower but it made sense to shower before we left with our itinerary the following day. As expected the shower was tolerable - just. There were 2 bath towels but only 1 hand towel. I had to ask for a hand towel at reception which was fine but it was rough like sand paper. We were only staying over the 1 night - thank goodness. I do not understand how a hotel chain such as the Premier Inn are unable to address these issues but I doubt I would book with a Premier Inn again.
The location was a little further out than we wanted but easy to get to and not too far to walk from the train station. The reception staff were very helpful and assisted us with our rooms and provide drinks and also sweets in the room for the children. The room was clean and adequate for our one night stay, good night's sleep and very quiet. However, the restaurant next door was not so good. Thank you to Jurrell, who was very helpful, and polite. The evening meal was nice and the food was good but the service was terrible. The resdtauratnt was not full by any stretch of the imagination but we had to wait 40-45 minutes for our food, not good when you have hungry children. The staff were not particularly friendly and we had to clear our own table to enable us to have a dessert, even though I had asked for it to be cleared. This was the only downside to staying at this particular Premier Inn. The Premier Inn was perfectly fine.
The room smells like kebab and body odour. There are pieces of food on the chair, side table and carpet. The shower curtain is hanging on for dear life and the headboard is disgusting.
Had a rather pleasant one night stay. The staff here are all super friendly, from reception to house keeping through to breakfast. Room was clean and temp was just right. I had overheard the receptionist talking to another about the water pressure being an issue and it was but it was manageable and they are dealing with it.
Have to give a shout out for the breakfast. Freshly cooked and Probably the best breakfast I have had in a premier Inn. Food was hot , plentiful and tasty. Thank you Charlotte.
Just what you expect from a premier inn, friendly team, delicious hot breakfast, a very spacious room which was very clean and smelling fresh.
Close to links to gosport ferry, shops across the road, plenty of parking and its FREE.
Very happy experience. Easily booked online and chose to pay at the hotel, which was also easy. Early check-in option worked well - thanks Jurrell for sorting. Room warm and cosy, comfortable, quiet and clean. My room had a bath (and shower, of course) which was a plus. Check-out consists of walking out. I’m not sure about connections to central London as I was attending a meeting close by.
Full marks.
While this hotel had most of the usual premier inn features and the staff were friendly and helpful it needs some work.
The room had a strange difficult to define odour
The tap in the bathroom sink couldn’t produce hot water (luckily the bath one did)
The extractor didn’t work, I think there was one - which meant the mirror was completely steamed up making shaving difficult
The breakfast area was tiny and the selection limited - not up to usual PI good standard
Amazingly located for Visiting London if you have a vehicle due to free carparking, Just off the A40 and Close to a Underground tube station.
Excellent bedroom and efficient staff. Poor breakfast offer. No butter or margarine at 9.05 am on a Tuesday morning, none could be purchased because they had to wait for the delivery lorry. That arrived at 9.45, jokes about the butter and then the staff sat down to freshly cooked breakfast items and toast, with butter.
The dirtiest hotel I have ever seen in the UK. Everything about this place screams zero effort. Check in was just waiting at a desk for 10min because the buzzer didn’t work. Walking to the room, the carpets were dirty and bits of food were just lying around.
The room is bare bones, and I’m afraid to put my bag down on the chair because of the massive stain and the overall unclean look of it. I checked the bed and found just two squiggly little hairs nestled in there with pillows that look like they’ve been through some rough times.
THB I’m not too excited about my next few days here.
Oh, and the bathroom looks decent, but I’ll have to walk in with shoes because I’m afraid to put my feet on the carpet in here.
Stayed for 2 nights to attend a conference. Everything was clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly but just wanted to give a shout out to mattie, he was very friendly, happy to help and was always cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble. See you in Greggs Mattie!!!
Lovely staff very friendly did enjoy my stay at hotel only disappoint was showers were not working properly my self and other guest saying with yourselfs were attending a wedding and couldn't even wash our hair properly hotel were aware of the problem so feel guest should of been informed of problem before arriving or checking in
The hotel was in a good location and there was plenty of free parking for hotel guests.
Breakfast was served every morning (available to book the night before at reception) and catered for all dietary requirements.
Special thanks to Lee, Immy and Charlene who were wonderful especially regarding safely meeting dietary requirements.
Reception staff (day & night) were all very friendly and helpful as well as the shift managers.
The only thing that was a let down was the lack of cleaning. Despite putting the sign on my door mainly for towels, bedding and bins to be changed and notifying reception, this wasn't always achieved. However reception did manage to sort this issue out by providing extras and then reiterating it to cleaning staff. This is the only reason for a 4 star not 5.
Thanks for the stay, im sure I will be back!
It was a great experience where everyone was really helpful and there was an amazing selection of food. The staff were really friendly and chatty especially Charlene and Immy. Thank you very much for our wonderful stay.
A very comfortable stay with an excellent breakfast on both mornings. Thank you Kelsa and Charlotte for a great welcome!
