Clean rooms
Friendly/helpful staff in many reviews

Cons:

Categories

Cleanliness
8.7
Multiple reviews explicitly state rooms were clean and comfortable; overall cleanliness is consistently praised across languages.
Service
7
Mixed reports: several guests praise friendly, helpful staff, but there are notable complaints about unfriendly, chaotic check-in experiences and poor handling of group arrivals.
Location
9.5
Consistently highlighted as a major positive: very close to the train station, metro and shopping. Some reviews note the hotel is noisier than advertised (busy intersection/tram), reducing a perfect score.
Room Quality
7.5
Multiple mentions of small rooms, limited storage, short beds (1.90 m), occasional uncomfortable roll-out/extra beds and missing in-room fridge—room comfort is therefore below top tier.
Amenities
7.6
Good bathroom and bar/restaurant mentions, but parking is repeatedly extra/expensive and problematic; limited in-room amenities (no fridge, little shelving) and few milk/vegan alternatives reported.
Value for Money
8.8
Many guests comment the hotel is very affordable and offers good price-performance. Extra charges (parking) slightly reduce perceived value for some.
Food and Beverage
9
Breakfast is frequently described as very good with good variety; minor notes about lacking dairy-free options are present but overall F&B is a strength.
Overall Experience
7.5
Overall generally positive due to location, cleanliness and breakfast, but issues with noise, small rooms, parking fees and occasional poor check-in/service negatively impacted some stays.

Very tired hotel
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and extremely busy .
The hotel seemed tired and run down.
The room was vey dated but clean the pillows smelt and we asked for replacements but they did not seem fresh smelt very musty.
The restaurant and bar was very busy.
The staff were so organised and helpful.
The seating area in the restaurant… the coverings in the seating was split at more than one table and the foam from the seating was spilling out and looked unsightly.

Avoid eating in this restaurant
Pros:

Served on diner stinky meat like defrosted day before, on disgusting dirty plate. Avoid to eat in this restaurant at all cost.

Don’t bother with this place
Pros:

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect there will be 2 bath towels provided for 2 people, and more than 2 coffee and 2 tea sachet’s. PI think otherwise which didn’t impress me. And no, I don’t see why I should have to ask for more.
Another good reason not to use this hotel is the high pitched noise coming from something alongside the hotel, day and night. And resulting in us being unable to open the window of our stuffy room.
PI no longer a good value option for us. I’d rather support an independent business than the penny pinching PI.
Never again. PI has lost my custom.

Excellent stay.
Pros:

Had a great stay here. Check in was quick, easy and U was greeted by a friendly receptionist. My room was clean and tidy and contained everything I required. The bed was comfy too. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. This is my second time at this hotel in the last three months and I'll certainly be staying again in the future.

Warm friendly North East welcome
Pros:

Really clean, amazingly friendly welcome. Knowledgeable local staff. Housekeeping staff were friendly. We stay at Premier Inn hotels lots all over the country and this was by far the most positive experience for a very long time. The staff in the South should be sent up here to see how true warm hospitality is done.

Helpful staff and wonderful bed
Pros:

Really helpful staff. Location, Bed, Bathroom (we always try to stay at PI's with a bath), and Room were superb. We chose this PI because it does not have air conditioning. (We don't like air-con in, because we can't open the windows).
Car park gets a bit crowded, but plenty of space just next door at restaurant, so if you don't mind walking an extra 30 metres or so, it's no problem. We'd stay here again on our way up north.

Excellent staff !
Pros:

Read the reviews before booking. This wasn’t the most convenient place for me but the reviews about friendly front desk staff made this my choice - as a single female travelling for work it’s important to feel safe. Rachael on reception from check-in until her shift finished at 10pm was fantastic. She even made a point of saying hello at breakfast the following morning when she wasn’t working. Location is actually very good. 10 minutes to the beach was perfect in a heatwave ! Will definitely make this my first choice when I come back for work.

Television
Pros:

As always a fantastic experience service and comfort, only one problem, the television didn’t work, normally my husband and I like curling up in front of the television, but could not get a signal, not sure if it’s the area but we always got a signal before xx

Great value
Pros:

Great hotel very easy to find and just off the main road. Happily go back. So much nearby but you need to be able to drive. Comfy bed. The hotel staff were lovely.
Restaurant is fab value for money but not all the staff were as friendly they could learn form the hotel staff, which was a shame. Maybe a bit lack of staff at times and the soft play wasn’t manned for the majority of the time we were in there.
