4th stay at this location. The hotel is getting shabby! Staff is lovely, service was wonderful!
Good
Initial impressions weren’t great- dirty revolving door and reception tiles covered in leaves and debris.
However, very warm welcome by staff made me feel hopeful.
Took the unloved and unclean lift to the 5th floor where we entered our room.
All good here! Very clean. Super-comfy bed.
The curtains had a tear but served their purpose.
Can’t comment on food but suited us for a night in order to visit the Uni Open Day in Newcastle.
You get what you pay for which is a clean and comfortable room.
Absolutely freezing. The hotel & the room. Breakfast was cold too. Staff were lovely
Room keys stopped working at 10.30am
This was a lovely stay, it was clean and comfortable and the staff was lovely and helpful. Shout out to the receptionist and housekeeping team. Well done guys
Room was nor prepared no bedding,no towels,no tea/coffee and was freezing cold when my partner asked for towels they were literally thrown at her in temper in the reception
Both my arrival and departure at this property were smooth and fuss-free.
The parking was ample and the property easy to locate. The staff (at the front desk) were extremely helpful and patient and gave me an excellent room. The room was very clean, the bathroom a good size and the bed was extremely comfortable. All in all, a great experience. I will be back. Thank you.
The hotel is well situated to get into Newquay and the surrounding areas, it has a good sized car park, th staff were really good, the rooms are clean and tidy, however they could do with an update as looking a bit tired, on the whole it is a good place location wise and dealt with what we required at the time. thank you to the staff.
A run down Premier Inn. I have stayed at many including other in the area and will avoid this one until it is refurbished.
Broken light switches beside the bed and a broken light bulb, TV not working. It was reported to the hotel.
We ate breakfast at the restaurant next door and you could see the tide of dirt on the fabric chairs, they had clearly not been cleaned for years.
Lovely welcome by a very friendly member of staff called Cath … free biscuits and a welcoming conversation… room was acceptable but a little tired as is the hotel as a whole, however towels and sheets were fresh and clean.
Everything was godd
Great stay, Good location and car park, Very good food at Beefeater next door,
Lloyd was amazing from when we arrived, He was friendly and went to so much trouble to help us when we had difficulty with the TV, He really added to the enjoyment of our stay, It was very clean and comfortable,
Amazing Premier Inn staff, Tara and Jess were phenomenal from the get go. Great location, lovely facilities and great parking.
I recently stayed overnight with my daughter and found the staff to be very friendly and overall had a comfortable night and great breakfast.
However, having checked in and entering the bathroom, there was a severely cracked tile under the sink which was protruding and could have caused an injury. The receptionist was apologetic and gave us another room, which was not as nice, but still comfy.
This was rather frustrating, as Unfortunately for the hotel, we stayed last year, and experienced a faulty sink panel in the bathroom which fell off and landed on my daughters foot while she was brushing her teeth!
The staff were all very nice but it was disappointing to stay once more with yet another unacceptable bathroom issue.
Only reason for not giving 4 stars is the lack of TV entertainment in the room and the guide wasn't giving all the info. I have tried plugging my device into your HDMI but nothing happens. Other than that it was a good night's stay.
Stayed here for one night. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Only one towel for two people. No drinking glasses. Tea and coffee were minimal and barely any liquid soap. Was nice and quiet for the evening, I think this would be an issue if not in an even number room though. Noisy traffic in the morning as shoppers driving to the shops right next to you so I don’t think ideal in warmer weather when you would like a window open. Premier inn sign was covered in green mould on the building outside.
Great location. Great Staff. As with any Premier Inn the rooms are the same the bathroom is the same. If you have stayed in one you know what to expect. For the price you pay they great value.
Breakfast is wonderful a full freshly cooked English.
Tea and Coffee facilities in the room , if you need more just ask at reception.
I just wish if you have an older teenager you could still get a family room.
Gill was very kind, friendly and helpful during our stay, can't thank her enough. Hotel was clean, comfortable and warm.
On Sunday 12th October I booked in and put my car number plate into the system.I have today received a parking fine from Horizon stating the time of 0801 Monday 13th, which was not my time of arrivsl but time of leaving as had an 08.30 appointment.
Horizon are obviously a dubious company who try to make money from customers staying at this hotel. As many may leave later han 0801. beware. Obviously I cannot get any response from the hotel as their trlephone number is incorrect nor can get a copy of my booking to show Horizon I was a guest at the hotel. Given I have retuned from another visit and was going o make another booking I will have to think about staying there again.
Rooms good size and clean. Breakfast was ok and good service from lady who worked in there. Only gripe really is that for the 2nd time in 2 visits to a premier inn the reception have been seemingly shocked and put out by the fact we had paid for early check-in. Tutted at told that is wasn't guaranteed and was from 11am even though it was 11.45 already! Experienced exactly the same at a previous Premier Inn earlier this year so would suggest that if a company runs a service it should get more organised in dealing with this
