hub by Premier Inn Covent Garden does not have a car park. We're so central we would encourage you to leave your car at home and arrive by public transport.
Our nearest tube stations are Leicester Square, Charing Cross, Covent Garden and Embankment. From Leicester Square tube, take exit 4 and head east along Cranbourn Street. Take your first right onto Charing Cross Road, left onto Cecil Street, then right onto St Martin’s Lane. We’re on the right, just after Duke of York’s Theatre and opposite London Coliseum.
A deposit may be required at the property.
Stayed for two nights for a football match and concert in London. Fabulous location literally a minute from Leicester Square and walking distance everywhere. Compact room but everything you need. Warm, comfy bed, hot shower. Very quiet. Perfect.
The location of this hotel is great. It was a 5 mins walk from Southwark tube station, its also opposite the Tate Modern meaning its a 5mins walk to the River. As soon as you walk in the downstairs area (The Social) is very clean and welcoming. Staff were very friendly, at check in and went we down for breakfast. The room was clean and spacious. Lots of information in the room regarding food/offers/how to use the heating system etc! We chose the continental breakfast in the morning and there was more than enough variety and lots of space to sit. Would definitely use this hotel again.
Great staff service
Comfortable room with lovely walk in shower
Good menu and drink selection
Meal deal was very good value
It is close to the tube and the international station. It is very near to the national express stop. It is next to a great shopping centre. The staff is really kind and the room are clean.
A great hotel we thought!
My plan was to stay here on the Friday night with work and my Wife and 2 boys join me on the Saturday to do a little Christmas shopping at the adjoining Westfield shopping centre. We parked the car and went to check in at the Premier Inn to freshen up before leaving to watch Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham which was my gift to the family before Christmas. Upon arriving at the desk a young lady couldn’t locate our booking from the reference i gave. I had changed my booking from Stratford on the Friday night to a Premier Inn Hub in Fitzrovia, closer to the work function i attended but was clearly told this wouldn't effect my Saturday night booking where i had reserved 2 twin rooms at £147 each as the hotel didn't have a family room available. When the Lady found my booking she called her colleague over (Luca Jesus) who claimed it was him i had spoken to, i thought at least this will sort out my room for the night! Anything but....he said after a 5 minute conversation that he SHOULD HAVE said to me on the phone i needed to rebook.....but i pointed out to him that he's right and should have however didn't..........i then asked ok we're here needing 2 rooms for tonight, do you have availability and secondly can you honour the £147 quoted previously ..... he said no and I’d have to book online as he couldn't take my booking, he also said they had 21 room available.....the problem was online the rooms were £444 each which i couldn't believe.....he offered absolutely no apology or help.....i turned to my wife and kids and said we'll have to drive the 3 hours home after the match at 11pm......I will say the lady who gave me his number was really apologetic but also couldn't help as the Manager had left 5 minutes earlier.
This completely ruined our weekend and could've been avoided with a little common sense. 21 free rooms and nobody willing to offer the rooms at a rate that was written in the notes on the booking on Premier Inns system.....
I will reconsider my hotel choice in future for both work and leisure.
Thanks
Rob
Picked the hotel due to its proximity to Leicester Square and Covent Garden. The hotel itself was quiet, despite being right by a number of theatres are bars, and not only a short walk to the immediate tourist spots, but also a short distance from a few underground stations. (Charring Cross, Covent Garden and Leicester Square)
Room itself was generally fine. Room has a mix of regular plug sockets and some USP ports, but the USB ports were slow-charging, so I'd recommend having an adaptor with you.
While compact, the room didnt feel cramped, and the controls for the heating and lighting was simple enough to figure out.
Only issues with the room was the shower had a tendency to leak do to a wide gap when the shower doors are closed, and a lack of tea-making facilities in the room itself, with guests having to go to the bar in order to get hot drinks (Though coffee and tea is free for guests)
I think for 1 person, the rooms are the right size, could feel like a squeeze for 2, especially with only a small section to hand up cloths, and a single seat next to the bed.
We arrived at 10am and left our details and suitcases. When we arrived back at 3.45pm our room still wasn't ready, which was pretty disappointing when we had booked well in advance. We had been walking for 5 hours and really wanted to relax.
We were offered a complimentary drink, which was appreciated.
When we got into the room approximately 4.20pm there was only one set of towels. We asked for another set and had to chase up, as they did not arrive.
Overall, the room was very nice. Hotel staff were great and it is a good location for Borough Market and central London.
The PI hairdryers have improved and I understand why you fix them to the wall.....but it's hard trying to dry your hair with a dryer that only reaches 2ft.
We couldn't get the heating to work, so pretty chilly in the room.
All in all, not bad for a budget hotel in London.
First the good points. Great location if you’re doing theatre shows or tourist stuff. Plenty of nearby bars and restaurants. Rooms are very compact. Best for solo travellers. My room was freezing cold. The temperature controls did nothing to stop the unit blasting out cold air. Had to eventually obtain a portable heater. And I wasn’t the only person complaining about this. Also, three different wifi options appeared. Two of them (premier inn free wifi snd ultimate premier inn wifi) wouldnt connect at all and “hub by premier inn wifi” would connect, but for about 30 seconds at a time.
I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. It’s practically in the city center, which made it incredibly convenient to reach all the main attractions on foot or by public transport. The room was a bit small, but it was comfortable and had everything I needed for a short stay. The staff were always kind, helpful, and ready to assist with any request. Overall, a great choice for anyone looking to explore the city with ease!
The carpet was so dirty that my socks turned black. We did have 2 rooms, and the same with both of them, all the water tabs do not have running water, they spray the water. The location is excellent, check in and out quickly, and they can keep your luggage if you have a late flight
Great place to stay in the middle of it all great staff very clean and warm a must if you are staying over tea and coffee complimentary from the bar
Great location. Shopping, dinning and travel to city. Clean facility and great restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. My room was next to the entrance to the floor so it was a bit busy but it was quiet at 10PM.
Service was terrible. Though the staff were nice enough, the systems and processes to save money have really compromised this hotel chain. Everyone always seems to be overworked - they have the same people checking people in and working at the bar! So at times I was waiting 15 minutes to get what I asked for – fresh towers, toilet roll or whatever. Other times I'd be assured the things would be delivered to my room but then wouldn’t hear back from anyone. I've have to call to chase - no phones in the room as they don't want you to call them - but I'd just call from my mobile externally into the hotel. Again the automated operator sends the same message - they don't really want to deal with you at all and you're a nuisance. I stayed 4 nights and paid for a Premier Plus room with which you get free water daily. On a couple of occasions I had to really argue with them to give me this as they had run out of cheap still water so were trying to fob me off with sparkling (which I don't drink), they wouldn’t let me have a couple of bottles of water from behind the bar. I asked for a late checkout, I was happy to pay, but they insisted I come down to reception at 9am the next day to confirm. What’s the point of that? I wanted a lie in! I used to stay at this hotel a lot but never again. It wasn’t cheap either - £750 for just 4 nights! Awful service.
Lovely stay with my Mother and daughter this weekend. Hotel is very convenient for shopping and also attending Abba Voyage concert.
We were warmly welcomed and had a lovely room with very comfortable beds.
Breakfast was organised well and the staff friendly. Big shout out to Sun, who was so friendly and attentive.
Very clean room too!
Monica on reception was so kind with answering questions and storing our luggage.
Just made a wonderful weekend for us all,
- thank you so much! Helen, Judith and Jessica xxx
A great location and good value. The room was comfortable and quiet. As we were staying 2 nights we were advised to say if we wanted our room cleaned which sounds a great idea until you realise that you don’t have clean mugs for the second night stay so we had to opt for our room to be cleaned. Maybe having an option of a top up to give you clean mugs and more tea/coffee would be an option as I don’t think the room needed a full clean, although there is no towel rail to let towels dry so you also need fresh towels. The bar on an evening is lovely.
The hotel staff were welcoming, and the room was cosy and clean. Bed was very comfortable and the light switches and charging plugs were conveniently located. As a solo traveller I felt safe and secure, and it was quiet. The breakfast was great value, with cafe au lait, fresh yogurt and fruit, etc. for only 6 pounds.
It was a great stay for my family. Spacious and clean room, very friendly staff who were more than helpful with everything we needed. Good bar, good food... I will definitely return on my next visit to London
À very cozy stay, comfy beds and impeccable cleanliness.
The staff members are supportive and friendly. Both breakfast and dinner menus were varied and had lots of healthy options. Viennoiseries always freshly baked. Calm even though the location in the middle of all touristy attractions.
Great location, clean and the staff where friendly polite and very helpful. Breakfast was £6 which is a bargain in london . not cooked but continental, which was more than adequate . Would stay again, only thing i would say rooms are small but you only use the hotel as as base to sleep so no issue for me but might be for others .
Excellent friendly staff who were very helpful. Lovely clean room. The location is perfect for the Tate Modern and just a 5 minute walk down to the river. Easy access to Southwark tube for transport across the river to the theatres and the rest of London.
