Review Highlights

Pros:

Generally very clean rooms
Comfortable beds and good showers
Good value for money
Quiet/soundproofing appreciated by many guests
Good breakfast
Cons:
Inconsistent service: rude staff reports and a double-charge/refund dispute

Inconsistent amenities across rooms (some lack fridge or A/C)
Immediate street surroundings occasionally uninviting and occasional outside noise

Categories

Cleanliness
8.8
Multiple reviews explicitly praise cleanliness ("very clean", "clean and spacious"); overall above average with consistent positive comments.
Service
6.8
Service sentiment is mixed to negative: several mentions of helpful staff but also specific complaints (rude receptionist, night porter incident, and a serious double-charge/refund dispute), so a noticeable downgrade is warranted.
Location
9.4
Very strong location repeatedly noted (central, next to main station and close to the cathedral); some comments about immediate surroundings being less inviting but overall excellent for sightseeing and transit.
Room Quality
8.2
Rooms frequently described as comfortable with good beds and showers; reports vary from 'very big' to 'a little small' and some layout quirks (rooms in annex, multiple doors), so generally very good but not perfect.
Amenities
8
Amenities are adequate: breakfast is available, some rooms have A/C and fridges but others lack fridges or have limited in-room amenities; overall acceptable but inconsistent across rooms.
Value for Money
9.2
Multiple reviewers call the hotel great value or 'best value for money' for the price—clearly a strong positive.
Food and Beverage
8.4
Breakfast is mentioned positively several times ("good breakfast"), supporting an above-average score for F&B despite limited additional commentary.
Overall Experience
8.4
Overall sentiment is positive (several 'exceeded expectations', recommend, quiet and comfy stays) but tempered by service incidents and some small-room/layout issues; set to the target overall rating.
* This sentiment is summarized by AI based on user reviews.

Great sleep and bad breakfast
Pros:

We got a warm welcome even though we arrived late. The room was nice and clean ( we stayed in room number 1 ), Apart from there being a small stain on the duvet, it was fine as we just turned it over. The room was nice and quiet.

The hot breakfast was horrendous, and the cold selection was better than the hot one (even though there wasn't much of a selection). The hot breakfast was covered in oil, and it looked like it had been thrown on the floor before being served to us, I felt like I was covered in oil after eating it. If we had known it was going to be like that, we would have gone to mcdonalds across the road.

Overall, the hotel was nice, but the breakfast was not.

Clean, comfortable room & Lovely staff. Can't wait to return
Pros:

The hotel is situated a little way from Telford centre but with a regular bus service into town (or a short drive). Very handy if you're visiting Hoo Zoo & Dinosaur world and some very nice walks in the area
We've noticed on previous stays just how hard working the staff are here, As well as reception duties, they also service the rooms & liaise with the Clocktower across the way, OK it's a relatively small hotel but they really do knock themselves out and a
great job they all do of it
I'm absolutely hopeless with names anyway but I don't like picking anybody out, especially when they are all so friendly and approachable. Thank you for our lovely stay and see you again soon.

Great service, with a smile!
Pros:

Consistent standard of room, clean and comfortable. Staff are great, welcoming and will always do more to help as required. Natasha, in particular, was a great help this time. A lengthy business trip is no fun really and its good to come back to a smile and a chat at the end of the day.

Friendly welcome, extra blanket and great service
Pros:

Our room was ready when we arrived from Birmingham airport. Supplied with extra blanket and some cookies we had a great short stay in Telford. Great place to visit out friends Paul and Elly and to visit Bridgnorth, Ironbridge, Attingham Park and Shrewsbury.

Hotel next to a Mcdonalds Drive-Thru!
Pros:

The usual Premier Inn setup - rooms the same, breakfast, etc... The hotel was in a great location for what I wanted and good price.

All was going well until I realised my room was a matter of metres away from a Mcdonalds drive-thru, and a 24 hour one too! All night I heard the staff over the loud speak and customers ordering - not exactly relaxing. I was surprised that Premier Inn didn't soundproof the windows with secondary glazing to reduce the noise. Raised with the reception, they tried to help, but no rooms to move into, so had to put up with this for 2 nights!! It is a shame, as otherwise the hotel was perfect for my needs.

Convenient
Pros:

It was a convenient stop to catch up with friends had a good meal at Brewers Fayre and some drinks then a good night sleep. Had to ask for a second towel as there was two of us which I had booked. But otherwise all good. Room was a bit tired but clean and the bed was comfortable once I found the extra pillows.

Great for a family stay
Pros:

Great value, affordable stay for our visit to HooZoo. It was only a few minutes drive away from HooZoo so the perfect location for us as a family meaning we didn't have to rush in the morning to get to where we were going in the morning at a good time. The hotel was close to the restaurant and had other takeaway options nearby too. It was a nice quite location, easy to find and not too far from anything we needed.

Beware restaurant opening hours
Pros:

Premier Inn is a reliably consistent brand, rooms are clean and well maintained and their staff are polite and well trained. This Premier Inn ticks all these boxes. The onsite Brewers Fayre restaurant however is erratic. Breakfast is fine, staff helpful, and unusually for Premier Inn breakfast is cooked to order. Opening times the rest of the day however are erratic. This is problematic because the only other nearby restaurants are a small Greggs and McDonalds. Otherwise it's a drive away. When we stayed, last orders including drinks were 7.30pm. Evening drinks service is very slow and if you arrive in the evening you may well find you must go out again to get food. I do feel Premier Inn should address this as this is not a centrally located hotel.

Thank you Ellen & Barbara at Premier Inn North
Pros:

Wanted a big thank you to both Ellen and Barbara. We seemed to be just having such a run of bad luck. After years of repeat returns and regular users of Premier Inn all around the country we always find it a home from home at Telford North whilst visiting family. If it had not been for these two ladies this time could well have been our last. So Premier inn head office management team please note these two members of staff went over and above. Thank you Also to Sarah. I will be writing in as well to raise my concerns that we encountered and acknowledge the great service we received. Scott & Kathy room 4

Our stay with Premier Inn - Telford North.
Pros:

Completely Happy for the price charged. And more than happy by the friendliness and politeness of the staff who I think went out of their way to please.

Noisy neighbours
Pros:

This is next to a petrols station with a McDonalds, Greggs, Subway, etc. all night cars pull up, rev their engines, people outside chatting, had to shut the window because of the smell from McDonalds

Great Stay
Pros:

Stayed three nights at Telford North Premier Inn and had our breakfast and evening meals in the Brewers Fayre Clock Tower. The Premier Inn Telford North was one of the best ones we have stayed in - it was very comfortable, clean and quiet with the benefit of good air conditioning and opening windows! The staff were all efficient and friendly. It was a great location for visiting all the nearby Ironbridge Gorge museums. The Brewers Fayre had a wide choice of meals on its menu, the staff again were both friendly and efficient and Gail was a stalwart at breakfast in the morning. Cannot comment on cooked breakfasts as we had only ordered continental meals but nevertheless Gail was attentive and made us feel welcome. The evening meals were piping hot and well presented. Out of all the restaurants attached to Premier Inns - we have visited eight this year - Brewers Fayre stands out as being by far the best, and this is true of the Clock Tower.

Amazing
Pros:

An excellent, wonderful place to stay. Really well situated to get to Hoo Farm. The rooms are well maintained, comfortable and super clean. Best part of the stay was the staff. Ellie on reception was amazing, attentive, professional and really was interested in us as guests and people. She made the stay so special with a note to say happy early birthday and left us some chocolates to celebrate. Ellie, note, I didn't get eaten by the wolves 🤩 Thoroughly recommend.

Needs some TLC
Pros:

This hotel was well located for our stay but we felt it needed quite a bit of TLC. It looked tired & it could do with repainting. A little ‘shabby’ perhaps describes it.
Having said that, the staff were some of the best we’ve come across; friendly, helpful and enjoyed a bit of banter.
