Westpoint Hotel

Non c'era aria condizionata. La doccia la prima sera ghiacciata perché dopo 30 minuti di acqua aperta sul rosso non si scaldava. Avvisata la reception sono venuti a controllare dopo la mezzanotte e dopo 10 minuti con il rubinetto sul blu incominciava a scaldarsi, la seconda sera abbiamo lasciata aperta l'acqua per 15 minuti temperatura accettabile. Wifi non funzionava nonostante la password.

Las habitaciones, tuve que pedir cambio porque la primera noche nos dieron una en subsuelo olorosa, caliente y ruidosa.

Very difficult to connect to the internet as sometimes I was connected to WiFi, but there was no internet. When connected I sometimes lost the connection after a few minutes. Internet speeds very slow, sometimes taking over 10 minutes for a website to load.

Points négatifs :
- la propreté (cheveux au sol, porte-savon sale)
- l'odeur du produit de nettoyage : odeur extrêmement forte, insupportable ! Heureusement, nous sommes arrivés dans l'après-midi et avons pu aérer la chambre jusqu'au soir
- l'espèce de sable au sol, qui crissait sous nos pas. Nous n'avons pas pu savoir ce que c'était...
- l'accueil d'une réceptionniste, très froid
- la mauvaise foi de cette réceptionniste, qui nous promet que le personnel aspirera la chambre et passera un torchon avec uniquement de l'eau pour faire partir le sable au sol
- les consignes pour les essuies. Il est annoncé que si nous voulons qu'ils soient remplacés, nous devons les laisser au sol. Nous les avons laissé sur le porte-essuies pour qu'ils ne soient pas remplacés mais le personnel les a néanmoins remplacés
- l'extincteur, manquant. Seul le support (vide) est présent
- le mobilier : porte rabotée pour qu'elle ferme

No hot water in several different rooms I was given. Cracked windows, windows that didn't stay open, a lack of ventilation in an area actively being painted, rooms that smelt of stale urine and stagnant air. General disrepair with black spots on sheets and towels, dents in furniture and varying quality between the rooms. Shower pressure is disappointingly poor, sheets are uncomfortable and itchy.

Some of the rooms are too small for suitcases and the luggage storage room feels very easy to get into if anyone wants to take anything from your bag. The fact that they also plaster "we are not responsible for your belongings!" everywhere and there are a handful of reviews about items going missing doesn't inspire confidence.

I don't tend to leave reviews even if I had a mediocre stay, but the quality of this place was just kind of alarmingly poor. I'd recommend having a proper read of all of the reviews and the history of the hotel as the quality hasn't exactly changed in the past decade (have seen reviews commenting on the lack of hot water from 8 years ago).

No central heating and my partner is very hot blooded so was left with an uncomfortable sleep. Window opened not enough, needs A/C or more fans to be able to sleep

Unfortunately, my stay was quite disappointing, especially considering the basic facilities I expected from a hotel.
The room was very small, with only a tiny window and no proper air conditioning. There was a fan in the room, but it was quite dusty, which made it less appealing to use.
There were also very few amenities provided. Shampoo, body lotion/cream and a hairdryer were not available in the room.
Another issue was the bathroom layout. The bathroom floor was raised compared with the rest of the room, but the sink had been installed at the lower level. As a result, once you stepped up into the bathroom, the sink was unusually low, roughly around knee height. This made simple things like brushing your teeth or washing your face quite uncomfortable and awkward.
However, the biggest problem for me was the Wi-Fi. The connection was extremely poor and, in practice, I could not use it reliably at all. If you need to work remotely or depend on a stable internet connection during your stay, this is a major issue. I was essentially unable to work from the hotel.

Breakfast was not the best if you can just eat at the restaurant outside the hotel, there's a lot of them and a wide variety of breakfast choices.
