Categories

Cleanliness
1
Multiple guests reported inconsistent or poor cleaning: 'room wasn’t properly clean', 'more room cleaning', dust on bedside tables, and partial refurbishment with dripping taps and wonky toilet seat. Several mentions of ignored cleaning requests.
Service
1
Service is repeatedly praised: friendly, helpful and cheerful staff, quick/easy check-in and occasional upgrades on arrival. A few operational oversights (ignored cleaning sign) but overall staff behavior is a consistent positive.
Location
1
Location is a strong positive across reviews: waterfront/river views, near Albert Dock, Cavern Club and other attractions; many guests call it 'great location' or 'buena ubicación'.
Room Quality
1
Mixed room quality: many guests describe comfortable beds and good showers, but issues include thin walls/noise, some uncomfortable beds, windows that don't open (no ventilation) and partially refurbished bathrooms.
Amenities
1
Amenities are limited or have drawbacks: charge for luggage storage, no bar (vending machine only), occasional broken lift, paid parking offsite; tea/coffee kettle available in some rooms.
Value for Money
1
Value is frequently highlighted positively: 'great value', 'perfect value', 'custo benefício' comments indicate guests feel the price is reasonable for location and offerings.
Food and Beverage
1
Breakfast is commonly praised (described as 'excellent' or 'superb') with only minor comments (e.g., scrambled eggs could be creamier).
Overall Experience
1
Overall impressions are mixed: many guests enjoy the location, staff and breakfast, but recurring cleanliness and noise/ventilation issues mean the net experience balances out for an average overall rating.

Great overnight stay
Pros:

Love the location of the hotel, was easy to find and the staff were lovely and friendly. The room was nice and we had a room overlooking the Mersey. Especially liked the rooftop bar, such a good vibe with the DJ and the views.

Cons:

The only issue was the fact 2 of the lifts are out of order but it seems it can't be helped due to waiting for parts.

Pros:

It was clean decent view

Cons:

The extra parking and wanting to get in the property 1hour early charges of nearly £30 which i found a little bit of a put off so wouldn't book there again

Pros:

Clean and very good location, good bars and restaurants 5 minutes walk from the hotel as well as Matthew street and the river.

Cons:

If I had to mark it down twi of the elevators were out of action for repairs, this made the wait time considerably longer as only one of the three were working.

Good stay. Room was spoiled by adjoining door to another room which kept out no noise.
Pros:

Useful location, decent breakfast.

Cons:

Room was noisy. The 2nd door seemed to link to adjoining room, but no sound proofing. Very noisy quite early in morning. Were they staff?

Great location - friendly staff
Pros:

The location was perfect and the staff were really friendly. The DJ on level 2 was a great touch.

Cons:

The 2 lifts were broken and so there was a long wait for the only lift working and when your on the 10th floor its time consuming. Also the TV in the bar area where watched the football world cup was really small they should upgrade the TV

Friendly staff
Pros:

Simply love this hotel. Staff very polite and friendly.

Cons:

Unfortunately this time my room didn't have a nice view of the Mersey which is such a bonus. Bathroom needed a little care.
