Petuna Cave Suites

Hazardous, uninhabitable, and unsanitary. I arrived after a full day of travel and found a room covered in mold, with a strong mildew smell, wet beds, wet pillows, and wet towels. The floor around the bed was damp from humidity, the table and furniture were dusty and moldy, the air conditioning was covered in moldy dust, there was no hot water, and there were spiders and mosquitoes in the room. Bedding and room supplies were also left outside on the patio in a broken chest, and a stray cat was able to get in.
After only 30 minutes inside, my body reacted quickly to the mold, with stinging eyes, skin irritation, and itchy hair. I took a cold shower in an attempt to wash the mold off my body and hair. Because the towels were moldy, I had to dry my hair with toilet paper, and I dried my body with my own hair dryer because theirs was not working. I then had to sit on the dirty patio awake from 12:30 until 8:00 a.m., waiting for the next accommodation’s reception to open. After that, I had to wait awake at the new accommodation from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon because that was the earliest check-in time available.
This was not a minor inconvenience — it was a serious health and safety issue. The listing did not reflect the reality of the room at all. I also contacted the host before arrival and again after reporting the conditions, but after initially responding on WhatsApp, they stopped replying once I explained the situation and asked for help or a refund. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property to anyone.

The concept of sleeping in a cave caught our interest but unfortunately reality was not what we expected.
We noticed immediately that the suite had not been cleaned. There was mold everywhere. There were no windows that could be opened for air circulation and so it smelled musty. It was absolutely dirty, filthy. The cutlery and utensils left in the kitchenette had dried dirt on them, the corners had dirt, the walls were dirty with many dead flies on them.
Also looking back on the reviews I realized that all the good reviews are fake, most of them are from the same date. Read the bad reviews first and avoid booking this accomodation.
