Categories

Cleanliness
1
Mostly praised as clean in multiple reviews, but several guests reported initial or lingering bathroom smells and moist-smelling bathrooms that required ventilation.
Service
1
Consistently positive remarks: friendly, clear communication, staff described as accommodating (many guests noted Filipino staff and easy booking contact).
Location
1
Mixed: appreciated for being quiet and in a local neighborhood with street food and a market; several guests noted it is somewhat isolated, a walk (~1.2 km) from BTS and not ideal for those without transport.
Room Quality
1
Rooms often described as spacious and comfortable with good beds, but issues reported include poor ventilation, initial toilet odor and occasional moisture smells; one report of a broken lock affecting perceived security.
Amenities
1
Notable problems: onsite parking exists but incurred unexpected extra fees and large security deposit complaints; breakfast reported as not functioning in at least one review; lack of a bathroom for early arrivals noted — overall amenities received significant criticism.
Value for Money
1
Multiple guests called it a great budget option and best value for price paid; described as cheap, clean and family friendly with rare onsite parking (when available).
Food and Beverage
1
Limited hotel F&B: breakfast was reported as 'not functioning' and thus a negative; however there are many nearby street food options outside the property.
Overall Experience
1
Mixed overall: many guests had very positive, peaceful stays and praised staff and value, but serious negatives occured for some (booking cancellations, extra unexpected fees, security concerns, worst-hotel reports), producing an overall slightly negative tilt.

We won't be going back because of the bathroom.
Cons:

The bathroom layout is completely flawed. The shower is right at the entrance and the drain is at the end of the bathroom. We had to clean up the entire bathroom floor every time, and there was a mop there for that purpose. Breakfast was incredibly strange. I've never experienced anything like it at any other hotel. The chopped leafy vegetables were stale, apparently stored in the refrigerator and served again the next day in an inappropriate state. The choice of eggs and sausages was inedible. We had to ask for milk because there was none, but there was cereal. The envious guy in the kitchen was always wearing headphones and paying no attention. We asked him a couple of times to make coffee, but he completely ignored our request. The location is also not very convenient. It's a very narrow street next to a canal that gets shallow in the evening and looks simply disgusting, with all the trash in plain sight. We stayed at this hotel only because they allowed pets and it was close to Asiatiqe

Pros:

Very friendly and welcoming staff, comfy bed and good price.

Cons:

I was quite disappointed with the restaurant. I wouldn't recommend booking with breakfast included. It is supposed to be a buffet breakfast, but you actually get an egg with toast, tomato, cucumber and a sausage. Maybe it's because we're in low season but most things on the menu were unavailable.

Pros:

Very reasonable price, staff was friendly, quiet place to stay , and huge rooms to stay in.

Cons:

It depends on what you are looking for, but this place is really away from from the main tourist attractions and so it takes a little more time, effort, and money to get to places of interest if that's something of importance to you. Also, Because of being on the opposite side of the river than many of the main tourist sites , I noticed that taxis charged more to pick up in that area than what I would have expected. During my month in Bangkok i stayed at 4 different hotels ( I wanted to experience the different vibes of the area ) and I think that it is worth mentioning this because although the ree riverside wasn't the furthest place from the city I stayed during my vacation , it was definitely the one I was charged the most for when it came to taxis. Bare in mind, this is Thailand so nothing here is super expensive but in comparison to other places transportation will cost more. Now I will say it was nice to be in an area where more of the locals lived, which made things like food and services less expensive than in the main tourist areas , however by the end of my stay there I had determined that what I saved in nightly rates and food I made up for in Grab (taxi) fees. Lastly, as others have suggested there does seem to be an ant problem there.

Pros:

The price point and the friendly welcoming staff. The rooms were spacious enough for us.

Cons:

The beds were hard I found this to be the case everywhere I stayed while in thailand. the TV setup was not like the other places we stayed in and we found it hard to use.
The bathroom was small and you were pretty much ontop of the toilet while showering then had to sweep the water into the corner. Location was 25 minutes up to any of the tourist activities/ shopping centers.
We were given 6 towels and pillows and had 8 people and the blankets and pillows for the extra beds didnt smell clean. The neighbourhood is undeveloped but we didnt mind as it gave a different experience.
