Pros:

Simple hotel, dog friendly. Reasonably priced.

Cons:

To get to the room we had to walk the hallway between the smoker’s rooms.

Very old and tired - it didn’t look clean either! Fortunately we were only staying 1 night… No views from our bedroom

Pros:

The staff were really nice , also if you needed anything they would bring to your room , they gave a room over looking the river . The bed was comfortable too . The room was very clean also the bathroom. I would recommend it .

Good value hotel relatively close to Newcastle.
Pros:

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Rivers Hotel. I was given an excellent family room overlooking the Tyne. The bad was comfortable, good powerful shower and coffee / tea facilities, Wifi etc.
There was plenty of room in the car park if I had arrived there by car.
I had a Turkish mixed grill and a pint on a beautiful evening looking on to the Tyne, a lovely spot for a meal and the food was decent.

Cons:

There genuinely was no negatives about the property or my stay there. There’s not a great deal around the hotel itself but you are only a 25 minute walk from the Quayside in Newcastle so I’d say it’s a very good location.

Quiet hotel with room for improvement.
Pros:

Lovely, quiet location on the river. Very friendly reception staff, brought extra pillows and coffee as soon as we requested it. Ample parking.

Cons:

Very poor wifi, which also affected the TV service. Programs we were trying to watch kept freezing, or dropping out. No cooling system whatsoever. No instructions on how to open window. No fridge in room.
