We really enjoyed our stay in Kyoto, and this lovely boutique hotel was also one of the reasons why. It has a beautiful touch of Japanese style and feels much more personal than larger, more impersonal hotels.
The location is great – close enough to the station to be convenient, yet still in a quieter area, which we really appreciated.
It has everything you need for a short stay while travelling (such as washing machines), along with nice little details like umbrellas for rainy days, which made the stay even more comfortable. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which added a really nice touch to the overall experience.

Cons:

There is a rather significant city tax to be paid, but it is not related to the hotel.

Our stay was amazing and our favourite accommodation in Japan so far!!
Pros:

Spacious room with King bed and lovely bathroom.
Great/friendly and helpful staff. Quiet but close to everything!

Cons:

Something incredibly minor but the tv lacked streaming capability for the night time.

Perfect stay in Kyoto
Pros:

If you are looking for a place to stay in Kyoto, look no further. I am quite picky with my hotels, and this was one of the most lovely hotels I’ve stayed in for the price and we are recommending to our friends who visit. Location wise, it’s close to a train station and we were well connected to all the major spots. Every part of this hotel was immaculate. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. I slept so well as the bed, room and overall ambiance was so relaxing. Bathrooms and showers were modern and clean, and amenities were top notch. The light breakfast and evening beverages were also perfect highlights to start and end our day. Furthermore, the concierge and hospitality was amazing, and we are thankful for the people for making this such a comfortable stay.

Beautiful hotel. Excellently presented in a great location and with lovely staff.
Pros:

Stylish and beautifully presented. Perfectly located to explore Kyoto. Staff were friendly, room was beautiful and exceptionally well designed. Free light breakfast and sake tasting in the afternoon was a great touch. Would highly recommend.

Petit hotel qui vient d ouvrir en 2026. L emplacement est très bon. Le personnel est sympathique et parle bien anglais. La chambre est propre et spacieuse. Les lits ont des matelas vraiment très confortables de premiere classe. La salle de bain est vraiment très belle avec cabine douche en verre de luxe.

Cons:

- les fenêtres sont totalement opaque. Un compromis aurait était mieux.
- la tv est grande mais ne dispose pas de youtube
- pas de pantalon de pyjama pour dormir

Sehr freundlich, hilfsbereites Team. Light Frühstück ein Plus. Lage: gute Anbindung an öffentliche Mittel, Restaurants in der Nähe. Sehenswürdigkeiten sind nicht gerade und Eck (Fussdistanz).

Fabulous and will return!
Pros:

- Beautiful rooms
- Spacious rooms
- Very well presented and just like the photos
- Staff couldn’t be more helpful
- Not too far from the centre (30 min walk) but so many great restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

Planning a trip back in 2028 and will absolutely be staying here on our return. Thank you again!

Ps if you’re looking for a nice little breakfast spot, try the “Bagel Rabbit” they have a “BEC bagel” (bacon, egg and cheese) it was so good
