Dancenter South London Camberwell

That I was left from 6.30pm without being able to enter the property until 10.30pm. No phone numbers provided actually worked. Don’t answer messages left through booking.com. The hotel is not called the ‘dancenter south london camberwell’ room door barely locked. Supposed to be getting some rest in between working days, but got none.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had.
The problems started on arrival. Neither my colleague nor I received the self check-in codes and we, together with other guests, were locked outside the unmanned property for approximately two hours. The telephone numbers provided were either non-functioning or unanswered, and the only available support via OYO WhatsApp responded extremely slowly.
Throughout the stay we encountered numerous maintenance issues, including hot and cold water connected the wrong way around in one room (posing a risk of burns), apparently non-functioning CCTV/security monitoring, and poorly maintained, dirty common areas.
The most serious incident occurred on the final night. We returned at around 11:30 pm to find the main entrance lock broken and incapable of being secured, while a side emergency exit door had been left open. The building was therefore completely accessible to anyone.
As we were travelling with valuable professional equipment, we no longer felt safe remaining at the property. We reported the incident to the police and were forced to leave immediately and book another hotel in central London at our own expense.
Management later explained that the emergency door had been accidentally released. Regardless of the cause, the fact remains that the building was left unsecured when we returned. The issue may have been fixed afterwards, but that does not change what we experienced.
To make matters worse, after rejecting our request for reimbursement, the property offered only a promotional voucher for a future stay instead of reimbursing the costs we incurred.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property. Guests should expect basic security, reliable access to the building, functioning facilities, and responsive support. Unfortunately, none of these expectations were met during our stay.

Once I arrived it was closed and I could not get in.

I called the number on the help desk. They told me to hang up and call back in 5 minutes. Then they ignored my calls.

So far I have been unable to get a refund or even open up a complaint as your website makes it impossible to do this

Nie einen Code erhalten. Konnte nie jemand am Telefon erreichen. Storinierung war unmöglich.

The whole experience was a disaster - I tried from 2.00 pm To get access codes for the doors at 8.00 p.m. I gave up and had to book an alternative venue - totally missing the function I had travelled to attend!!

No lift. Terrible breakfast option, we decided not to eat there. The staff we met tried their best to avoid contact. Repair and maintenance lacking. The tap in the bathroom loose and the place looked like it had seen better days.
