Cons:

They could really upgrade the quality of the food on offer..poor food for too much money..and water in plastic bottles a disappointment..wish U could crack open a window..for fresh air..

Well appointed and well located small and friendly hotel with high level of service.
Pros:

Good location central to the city centre that with exceptionally well appointed good sized rooms. Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on food but the restaurant seemed busy, not too busy, so presumably good food. Onsen, as exceeded, was very comfortable. No complaints.well

Cons:

Frankly nothing- 20 minutes with bags from the nearest station but a taxi would have solved that!

Highlight of our trip
Pros:

One of the highlights from our trip. The room was so much better than expected and better than many five stars hotels we have stayed at. Such a cool experience to stay in a traditional Japanese room and the onsen is a must after a hectic day at the tourist locations. Location is good, not too many tourists around.

Cons:

Would have been nice with a mixed onsen so my wife and I could have enjoyed it together.

Our favourite hotel in Japan
Pros:

Perfect balance of modern, comfortable and traditional Japanese. Really nice and clean onsen. Dyson hairdryers. Couldn’t pick a better location for Kyoto. We loved it!

Cons:

Nothing! Although the women’s sauna wasn’t open while we were there due to a malfunction.

Pros:

The hotel location was great, the staff were very helpful and rooms were is good condition.

Cons:

The room I stayed in was on the ground floor. The windows opened up to the street/alley, and so there was no privacy from pedestrians walking by unless the windows were closed, and then there was no natural lighting in the room.

Cons:

L’orario della colazione dovrebbe essere anticipato alle 7:00, considerando che molti tour iniziano alle 8:15: con una colazione a partire dalle 7:30 diventa molto difficile organizzarsi.
È vero che esiste l’opzione della colazione tradizionale in camera, ma non rientrando nei nostri gusti, per noi l’unica soluzione è la colazione a buffet in sala

Beautifully deasign hotel
Pros:

Beautifully designed hotel. Felt incredibly relaxed and peacful with a gorgeous onsen and sauna. We stayed as a family and having a separate sofa bed for out child was great as well.
The location was also fantastic with lots of restaurants near by. Everything was walkable.
