Location, price, cleanliness, helpful staff,
Facilities a bit basic in rooms. Rooms small. Room code didn’t work on return after meal out. However staff sorted immediately.
We only stayed here because our flight to the Scilly Isles was cancelled - a case of any port in a storm. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful, especially when our pre-booked taxi failed to turn up in the morning. That's the good news ...
The whole place could have done with a thorough deep clean. The bedding in one room had not been changed, the carpets were old and grubby, there was mould in the shower, there were stains on the cups, etc. etc. etc. It was the sort of place where you didn't want to take your shoes off.
The staff and process of booking or making changes were terrible.
Staff and OYO (managing company) do not take responsibility and push the buck on one another. Was very difficult to make a change to my booking which resulted in me loosing the booking on the day.
Good location
Rooms too warm
The location was fabulous. Only a few minutes from great beach, bars and restaurants on the beach. Walkable distance to town and to explore.
The hotel was very run down. Excellent value for money! If you are on a strict budget and just need a bed, this place is unbeatable. However, it is very run-down and in desperate need of a refurbishment—expect to see worn carpets, scuffed walls, and outdated furniture. We stayed 3 nights, stairs were tired-looking. Our room had dust on the windowsill and in corners. Spiderwebs. The carpet felt as had not been vacuumed. Walls had lots of scuff marks. Coffee mark on the coffee table. Overall the room felt neglected rather than freshly cleaned. The stairs to our room were dusty, dirty, the hoover in the corner was there for three days, and the hoover didn't move. Day one, we asked to be moved to a better room but apparently all were sold out, it was fine for us and reflected the low price. If you don't mind a lack of luxury, it’s fine. You get what you pay for approx £52 per night. The location and price were superb, which is why we didn't complain. But be warned: the hotel is quite run-down (scuff marks, outdated). Definitely needs a refurb to improve the aesthetic, but great for a low-cost stay.
This hotel is falsely advertised, it could not be a 4 star
I've been in better 3 star hotels.

And the bed on one side was worn-out .
Private parking and location were a huge bonus. Staff were friendly.
The mattress needs replacing as I felt every spring inside. The hotel overall looks tired and needs some TLC. Smashed front window and the outdoor area was dirty.
The location suited my expectations... close to the tin mines.
The hotel??
1, The expected view - Atlantic waves crashing against rocks.
what I got... A grey brick wall that could barely be seen due to the pigeon and seagull shit-splattered filthy windows.
2, Complete lack of attentive staff. I think there are two or three members of staff...I finally found one, feet up, talking to his mate on his phone.
3, When I arrived I had to call a number for the "manager"? who arrived 5 minutes later with his phone stuck to his ear and asked me to refer to emails to gain access to my room door code. He then charged me an extra £30 for parking.
4, Breakfast ... Badly cooked Full English or nothing. No fresh fruit, yogurt or juices.
The only choice was large or small.
I ate the toast and eggs on the first morning but couldn't eat the rest. It was swimming in grease and was not what I usually like to eat for breakfast and I had to wear my outdoor coat while eating it - this was because, for some reason, this "hotel" leaves its main glass reception doors wide open 24 hours a day (with no one at the reception desk... you know, just walk in?) and let a continuous cold draught blow through the dining area.
Luckily I found a local cafe with good food for my last two days.
5, There was an issue with the shower.
The floor was flooded and the towels were wet. The manager was informed at around 08:00am.
When I returned at 6 pm, the issue had not been attended to and no one was on the reception desk, or anywhere to be seen... until I found a young man with his feet up behind the closed hotel bar, chatting to someone on the phone. He didn't understand my query and walked off.
Luckily again, there was a maintenance man being employed on the premises who knew where to find the clean towels.
6, The last night was, quite frankly, frightening.
From around 9:30 pm until 1:30 am, I was hearing loud, angry voices and arguments, slamming of doors, shouting, and heavy footsteps around my room.
Clean and tidy place , beautiful view and location
AVOID - absolutely awful. Left after checking in for an hour, decided it was better to drive BACK home 2.5 hours then stay in the mouldy damp filthy place. Useless staff who don’t care.
Vorsicht, ein Stern ist gerade noch in Ordnung !
Could of been cleaner
