Important information:

Blue Bay Koh Yao Yai is located 11 miles east of Phuket, and 16 miles west of Krabi. Ideally, the sea transit time is 30 minutes by speedboat from Phuket. Please note the time can vary depending on the water transportation choice, weather conditions and tide level. Public speedboat transfers arrive at the island pier. Passengers on the blue bay speedboat will arrive directly to the resort beach, weather and tide levels permitting. If you arrive at low tide, the boat with stop at the local pier where our Resort Host will greet you and transport you to the resort.

Pros:

We arrived at the resort while it rained heavily and we were drenched. It was nice to have the staff greeted us with towels and escorted us to our rooms. The kids love the pool! The fact that they could walk out of the room and immediately jump into the pool made it easy for us to chill and monitoring them at the same time. Room is clean and bathroom is spacious. The beach is clean and beautiful, too.

Cons:

The resort should update their location on Waze and Google Map. We spent a good 1/2 hour looking for the resort entrance as we were led to another resort by the navigation apps.

Pros:

The staff was amazing, helpful, happy-go-lucky, and the management was equally good. One day they had to do some maintenance work on the premises while breakfast for a few minutes, and the manager sent us beer and fruits to our room as an apology.

The location is excellent, and the best beach on the island is in front of the hotel. Close by many good restaurants (especially Isaan Fine 2!), scooter rental, laundry service etc.

The rooms are big, aircon cold and clean, and you can jump into the pool from your terrace. There are huge air flamingos to float on.

Highly recommend!

Great location
Pros:

The hotel location is fantastic, on a gorgeous beach and short walk into little town for restaurants and supermarket. The rooms were big, and they were clean. There is a great sized buffet breakfast with many options to choose from.

Cons:

The beds were very hard. Also, the hotel needs some serious repairs with some very rusted out parts of staircases etc up and down to pool from the upper rooms.

Für wenige Tage eine tolle alternative
Pros:

Anlage ist super gedacht mit verschiedenen Pooleinheiten die zu den jeweiligen Unterkünften gehören.
Wenige Schritte außerhalb der Anlage kann gut und günstig eingekauft und essen gegangen werden

Cons:

Leider wie sehr oft in Thailand sind die Anlagen sehr schön gedacht aber werden nicht gut im Schuss gehalten. In den Poolanlagen fehlen bereits einige Fliesen. Im Hoteleigenen Restaurant werden leider zu wenige Thai Essen angeboten.

Pros:

Tolle Lage direkt am Strand mit vielen Restaurants in der Nähe.

Die Angestellten waren alle super nett und haben alles für die Kinder möglich gemacht. Von extra Mahlzeiten zum Frühstück bis zum Kriegen spielen in Restaurant während eines Platzregens.

Es ist super wie eine so große Anlage so sauber gehalten wird. Die Blumen und Bäume sahen super aus und dienten vielen Fotos.

Cons:

Die Einrichtung im Bad ist eher Basic. Es fehlt ein wenig an Platz um Dinge abzulegen oder aufzuhängen.
