Nice hotel!
Pros:

I liked that there was a free washing machine!

I liked that you could just have breakfast whenever it suited you.

The hotel was very clean.

Cons:

I am confused that booking.com states the hotel includes breakfast, while at the hotel itself it says that breakfast is actually just an extra gesture (which is why you can’t rate the hotel on its breakfast selection).

It is a shame that there’s no labeled [waste] sorting in the kitchen.

楽しかった
Pros:

今回、留学中の娘と一緒に３日間お世話になりました。お部屋もキレイに掃除してありましたし、バストイレは韓国式でしたが、配置が奥にシャワーだったのと広かったので特に不便は感じませんでした。
また、オーナーさんが本当にいい方でランドリー使い方だとか丁寧に対応してくださいました。朝ごはんもパンとかコーンフレークとかセルフですが置いてくれてるので自由に利用できます。冷蔵庫にもミルクやオレンジジュース、水等置いてあります。少なくなったオレンジジュースもすぐに補充してくださったり、会話をしたり、楽しく過ごせました。掃除をしてくださってた方もとても気さくで優しくて丁寧に部屋の掃除もしてくださいました。タオルも廊下に新しいのと、横に使ったタオルを入れるカゴも置いてあるので全てが自分のペースで滞在できたのでよかったです。
ありがとうございました。
また人気になってなかなか予約が取れなくなりそうなのが残念です😢次の渡韓でも予約できたらいいな🥰

Cons:

少し部屋が狭くてスーツケースが広げにくいのが残念ですが、他のことでそんな事はどうでもよくなりました（笑）

ロケーションは最高。スタッフは最低。
Pros:

とにかくロケーションが最高。회기駅までの距離が歩いて数分ととても近い上に、コンビニ、ダイソー、スーパー、飲食店、カフェ、郵便局など、生活に必要なものが全てホテルの近くにある。

Cons:

スタッフの対応が良かったという口コミを見たが、全く逆であった。男性スタッフはとても愛想が悪い。分からないことを質問してもぶっきらぼうに伝えるだけで、理解できるように教えてくれない。ロビーで出会っても挨拶もしない。彼の対応は全てがとても不快だった。また、インボイスのPDFを送ってくれと頼んだ時には、後で送ると言ったのにも関わらす結局退去まで送ってくれなかった。反面、女性スタッフは常に笑顔で対応してくれ、感じが良かった。

Unbearably hard beds, unresponsive customer service, and completely inaccurate billing records.
Pros:

The property itself was clean and the initial check-in process was straightforward. The location was convenient for exploring, but unfortunately, the positive aspects were entirely overshadowed by our experience with the room comfort and subsequent management communication.

Cons:

The mattress provided was exceptionally firm to the point of causing my partner severe physical back pain and soreness after the first night. Because this firmness conflicted with an existing medical need for a softer sleeping surface, we physically could not remain at the property and chose to officially vacate the room and return the keys on the morning of June 13th.

We reached out to the hotel via the app to explain the medical situation and politely request a partial waiver for the remaining unused nights, acknowledging the non-refundable policy. The property responded with a blanket refusal that did not address the medical context of our inquiry. Furthermore, four days after we had fully vacated the premises, the hotel sent us an administrative message on June 17th erroneously stating that our checkout occurred on that day and detailing room charges for nights we did not stay in the building.

While we accept the financial risk of booking a non-refundable rate, the combination of an incredibly rigid mattress, a complete lack of response to a health-related inquiry, and highly inaccurate administrative tracking of our checkout date made this a very difficult experience. Future travelers requiring standard mattress cushioning or responsive administrative communication may want to take this into account.

Pros:

Great location if you are booking last minute or don't want to stay in central city. If you want to stay somewhere clean, modern, and not fussed about space, this is the place for you!

🚉 RioHotel is a hop and a skip from the Hoegi metro station which is on Line 1 which shares the stops for Seoul Station, City Hall and Dongdaemun. It connects up to other metro lines where you are likely to visit Myeong-dong, Seongsu, Gangnam, Itaewon + more. I used the KakaoMetro app which is easy to use to get travel times and transfer instructions from A to B.

🚆 The Hoegi metro station is only 1 stop away from Cheongnyangi station which is where you will transfer to an ITX train (40mins approx) to go to Nami Island.

🍳 Breakfast is self serve/cook, during our stay the owner stocked bread, eggs, and fruit. Omg the strawberries were soooo good and a luxury as it is expensive in Seoul after exchange rate as tourists from New Zealand. The hotel is in an area by a University so lots of students and shops. We didn't have time in our itineary to look around the Hoegi area but when our airport transfer dropped us off we saw LOTS of shops.

🧳 Overall we enjoyed our stay and the location was great as first time vistors of Seoul. We were able to see everything on our list via the metro which included Nami Island, Seongsu, Starfield Library, Gangnam, Itaewon, Myeong-dong, DMZ (meet up point at City Hall), Hongdae, Bukchon Village and more!

Cons:

The only downside was that the room was only serviced once during our 5 night stay ... and we were able to get new towels from the common area but they were the size of a hand towel! We only had one full sized towel, not sure why this is. Would've asked the staff but we didn't run into them after the first day.

We were lucky to get a room on the ground floor as there is no elevator! So if you have lots of luggage this is something you should consider.

Fantastic, clean hotel steps away from a subway station.
Pros:

The location of the hotel is SO convenient! Just a few steps away from Hoegi station. It's quite an interesting and lively area with several universities nearby; I had expected it to be sleepier being a bit farther out, but it's bustling! Lots of late night/24 hour restaurants available.
