Location. The rooms were spacious and very clean.
Not one bit, that the property didn’t already think of and took care of.
The breakfast was amazing! There was fresh fruit, lots of pastries and breads to choose from, meats & cheeses, muesli, yogurts, eggs, bacon, sausages. Great coffee and juices. The staff would bring a fresh sample of smoothie each day to your table.
We loved kaffee und kuchen from 2p-4p each day. It was a lovely treat to have cake and coffee after sightseeing.
The gym was nice, it had several different types of machines and free weights. We used it a few times during our stay.
Our room on the top floor was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The kids slept well on the pull out sofa which was already made up when we arrived. The mini fridge was kept stocked with drinks. Loved having a balcony to look out at the mountains and over the town below.
The staff are wonderful and very friendly. We arrived early and they stored our luggage for us and then had it sent to the room when it was ready. They were always willing to answer questions, and offer suggestions for the area.
This is our fault when we booked (we just didn't think to check these points) -- We didn't realize there was no A/C in the rooms (or gym) and we arrived during an extreme heat wave. Also didn't realize the pool was off limits to under 16, so our two kids filled the tub with cold water to cool off. It was hard not being able to come back to the room to cool off during the peak hours of the heat. We were able to cool the room off a bit at night by having the windows open, luckily no mosquitos while we were there. No fault of the hotel, this was all over town, the flies at meals are crazy. The hotel does it's best with these little machines they put on tables, but dozens of flies will still swarm around you, land in your hand, on your food, on your legs... this was all over town, not just at the hotel, and is part of the journey. The hotel is pretty expensive, and since we couldn't take part in the pool as a family it doesn't seem worth the price, but it is a very nice hotel.

Small room and particularly small bathroom. Our room faced the road and was opposite a very noisy bar. The staff were very helpful helping us resolve the issue for our second night in Grindelwald.

The location was good. Laundry was easily available. Barry's was good. Staff was friendly and helpful most of the time.
It was very hot during our stay. There are no screens in the windows- so we could smell cigarette smoke. Also, there was a one fan per room policy- even though we had a larger family room. But, we did get an extra fan for the last night. Although, its not the hotels fault- there were flies everywhere!! Lounge/ breakfast area covered in them. Also, came into our room- woke up with them on you due to not having screens.

여름여행시 호텔 에어컨유무를 꼭 확인해야겠다고 생각했습니다.
에어컨이 없다면 그에 따른 대응방식을 확인해야겠습니다.
그린델발트 대부분의 호텔에 에어컨이 없다고는 하지만
이곳은선풍기도 아닌 낮은팬을 방한개에 하나씩 배치해줍니다.
팬이 너무 시끄러워서 2단이상 사용할수도없습니다.
저희는 아이들 2명도 추가하여 4명이 묵었는데
팬은 한개 제공되었습니다
침대는 떨어져있는데 .. 어떻게 사용하라는걸까요??
팬의 전기줄도 짧은데요..
리셉션에 한개 더 제공가능한지 문의하였으나
여유분이 없어 절대 불가하답니다.
그리고 늦은밤이 되면 안더울거라네요.
하루종일 밖에서 활동하다가 땀범벅이 되어왔는데
호텔오니 더 더운 아이러니한 상황..
늦은밤이 되기전까지 편안하게 쉬질 못했습니다
호텔측의 방한개에 팬한개 제공 원칙을 존중 합니다.
그러나 저희처럼 "인원이 추가 된 경우" 하나 정도는 유연하게 더 제공할수있어야할것같습니다.
그리고 1층에 파리가 너무 많습니다.
조식먹는데 파리 쫒다가 조식에 집중이 어려울정도입니다.
이부분에 대한 다른분의 리뷰도 있었던것같은데
개선이 안되는거같네요.

The room had a good bit of space and the breakfast was amazing. Everyone was helpful and friendly; the location was perfect for us as it was only a short walk from the train station and the cable cars. It was a great home base location for the duration of our time in Grindelwald.
The two queen sized beds were a bit small for four people (might've been our fault).
