Highly recommend Mimaru in general, and this location in particular!!!
Pros:

The coffee machine/ice machine and happy hour (sake & beer) at reception were wonderful unexpected treats!
The room size/space and washing machine were fantastic for a family of 5 adults!
The lady who offered a little Japanese calligraphy lesson at reception was delightful! Great idea!
This was our favourite location of all the Mimaru accommodations we stayed at (3 in 2 weeks)!!
Will definitely be back!!

I would recommend and I would stay again.
Pros:

Location - close to train stations, restaurants, shops and 7-11. Clean!! Staff!! Quiet and Safe!! Sake and beer for happy hour. Get some snacks and enjoy in your room or the lobby. Luggage shipment for a fee. Free ice, water, and coffee in the lobby all day.

Cons:

For the price, I wish they wiped down the kitchen table, counters and washed the dishes.

Great stay!
Pros:

Excellent location and very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and the kitchen facilities as well as the in-suite washer/dryer was very useful. The train stations and konbinis were a short walk away, with many restaurants and cafes in the area as well. We enjoyed our stay here.

A beautiful stay in a beautiful city
Pros:

Fantastic location, close proximity to everywhere we wanted to go. Hotel itself was fantastic, so much space we truly felt like it was home away from home. The extra things like the items available to rent and the Happy Hour were such a lovely touch!

Cons:

The TV didn't have English subtitles, it would've been fun to understand some of the shows we were watching!

Pros:

We loved everything. The staff were lovely, and we really appreciated the maps with suggestions for things to do in Kyoto. The rooms were perfect: spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with super comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped.

The lobby was also great, with coffee machines, items available to borrow, and even an happy hour.

It was truly a wonderful stay, and we would be very happy to come back. Even compared with other MIMARU hotels, this one was excellent.

It's in a great location and the apartment/rooms for a family were excellent, we loved it, hope to come again in the future.
