Great location, lovely room
The spa and swimming area were lovely, have kept their Victorian charm and everything worked perfectly, very clean.
The room was very poor, needs a good paint and wasn't very clean. The breakfast was quite vile to be honest, it cost a lot of money for a cooked breakfast that had been sat for a long time, there was no bread, had to ask for two newly cooked eggs and the breakfast room had not been been cleaned, albeit we were a little later down for breakfast, the staff were just hanging around and not really helpful. When I asked at reception if I could have a breakfast refund, on our checkout, she said I was too late, and should have asked earlier.
The spa facilities were lovely And the view was amazing. Staff were freindly and efficient.
I upgraded our room but was very small snd very warm. We were only staying for 2 nights so wasnt a massive deal. But cojld do with dome modern touch ups. Fresh new curtsins for exsmple.
Parking on site is £15 per night. There is no mention of this in the Booking info. I managed to get street parking for £0
We loved the use of the pool etc. And the location was perfect
We feel the property and the room we stayed in are very dated. Having to step into a bath to have a shower was quite awkward. We had a sandwich early afternoon and it was less than average, the bread was cheap and as it was a panini it tasted of the dirty grill.
The breakfast good choice.Parking adequete.
The room we were put in 505 was a sauna, windows only open less than an inch. Fan supplied was rubbish i realise it was warm weather while we were staying eventually moved to another room at 11.30pm after going down to reception in PG's as too hot to keep waiting in room. When moved to another room lower down a lot cooler, but towel rail in bathroom on full heat and would not turn down and window in bathroom screwed shut had to put up with that for two nights in the very hot weather, told staff but no joy. When left on thursday morning we were told no management available to discuss our complaints, given private email address of Oliver ..emailed last thursday evening ..still waiting reply. Not good enough to say i have stayed there several times before. Will now write to head office and see if they reply. Not after money back just an apology will do. Cant say i will return anytime soon, as we had issues with the evening meals as well.
It was near my venue
Very dated , looked unclean , shabby
Very good location
Our room was on the 5th floor. On armed forces weekend it was really hot, we were unable to open our windows to allow fresh air in the room, only a fan that was blowing warm air around. The room was like a sauna so we had no sleep. Then we had no cold water coming from the tap and was unable to have a shower as again no cold water to regulate the hot water. No water left in the room for us which should have with the weather being so warm.
The room was small ,small double bed ,nothing like the photos, very disappointing, couldn't move rooms,as hotel was booked due to Billy Ocean stopping there ,got to meet him big bonus ,the rest of the hotel was good ,spar very good 👍 breakfast 👍 was just the room we had was very very disappointing and at 210.00 a night like I said very disappointing 😞
Having a fridge in the room, the TV in the bath was definitely a first. Loved the sauna and the pool.
There were some snags with our cards not working so had to keep going back to the reception to have it sorted a couple of times.
Also the coffee at the bar was terrible, however the coffee at breakfast was excellent.
Great stay although the room was comfortable clean and had a beautiful room, overnight found hard to sleep as far to hot . The fan was not strong enough and the window hardly opened .
The parking also was an issue, booked for their own parking as not yo have hasle looking around for street parki g after a long drive. When we got there no space available had to wait in hot car for someone to move added a bit of stress to start of a holiday.
Staff were as helpful as could be .
Lovely hotel great location and would possibly stay again .
As mentioned above. The hotness of the room and the parking.
Location nice room pleasant staff
Upper floors very hot maybe a shortage of staff
Perfect location with car park at the back of the property for safe parking (payable but worth it)
Nothing to dislike
