A complete disappointment
Pros:

Fine

Cons:

Not being able to get a table in the restaurant after driving 6hrs to get to the hotel because they had a wedding and another group. I booked last year they should have contacted me when they realised there was a problem not when I booked in and I couldn’t cancel. Having booked a place in the car park all the places were occupied mostly by people that hadn’t booked including a post office van. Perhaps it was the fact that I had one of the most expensive rooms in the hotel!

Demoralising, having looked forward to the stay

Everything, faded glory the hotel is living in the past well past its sell by date. The rooms were basic, not clean and everything just seemed well used.

Disappointed and wished we could have enjoyed our stay ? After all we paid our money in good faith .
Pros:

Roommate on 5th floor extremely hot no air con just a ceiling fan windows could open slightly for safety I guess extracted fan noisy all night would not switch off .Spa facility’s aged and un inviting jacuzzi barely warm pool cold steam room and sauna room completely in darkness no light to see your way very aged barely on .poor. Then Breakfast we was told delivery had not arrived for cooking so only limited selection on offer but still at full price £15.75 per person??? This Hotel does not give value for money in our opinion.

Cons:

The view from the outside of the hotel

Great hotel
Pros:

Spotless. friendly staff. Great location

Cons:

The breakfast system isn't set up to accomodate disabled people. I struggled up & down she short stairway to the upper dining area, whereas if the food was located in the lower rooms it would give us an option to help ourselves. Disabled people don't always want things done for them. We appreciate any help, but also appreciate the opportunity to remain independent

Old and tired but why not give it a try, Scarborough we will see you again.
Pros:

It was nice to see the use of space for the gym and the spa, it seemed well used. The steam room and sauna area was very new and was welcomed. The pool although cold was nice and the spa pool was reasonably warm and energetic with bubbles. It was all a little outdated and in need of repair not tape and plasters... 2nd Room was big but both doors didn't open and it caused the room to be overly warm and stuffy. Bathroom was big enough but smelt musty. We did enjoy it though, and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Lastly the view from the 2nd room we tried on was B.E.A.utiful... The sea and the sun going down, so nice. Its worth it just for that.

Cons:

Car park cost me an extra £30 when on booking it read to me that they had parking but I didn't catch the extra cost so think that one through. The hotel is looking warn and repairs look to be hacks and not a good job. The bathroom smelt of damp and musty, the beds could have been comfier, pillows weren't great either. (That's why I always take my own!)

The view from the first room was miserable, pipes and a roof, it was grim. My partner is a bit of a ponce so she was having none of it and demanded we changed and I'm glad we did. It was a small expense to upgrade but worth every penny.

The state of the changing room. The floors were filthy and didn't look like they had regular cleaning, this was disappointing and lockers were aging.

Pros:

The room was OK but the breakfast was dismal! The presentation of the fruit was not enticing, and the fried eggs cold. Coffee and tea undrinkable! The only good thing about the breakfast was the sausage! We didn't check the spa.
