Book a room with the option of two single beds or a double bed. We took the option of a double bed which was confirmed by the hotel itself, but ended up with two singles 🙄
The bed was comfortable, nice location. The Spa was great.
We were woken at 6:30am by the extractor fans, loud music and loud voices of people working in the hotel, we assumed it was kitchen staff. Due to this we would recommend requesting a room away from the kitchen.
The staff.
The general poor state of the entire building, which is in desperate need of refurbishment if it is to justify its ridiculously high and inappropriate pricing.
We would not recommend nor choose to stay there again.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Bedroom had lovely bay window with view over town but really needed redecorating and new carpet. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was good.
Very tired decor throughout. Dinner menu had only 3 starters and one was unavailable as was one main course. Breakfast was poor - pastries ran out and weren't replaced - poor quality produce
Location
Room was very tired and dated, filthy windows and water marked ceiling, needs a complete refurb definitely not worth £179 a night
Room clean and spacious but very dated.
Corridors smelt like carpets needed cleaning or chabging.
sea views and location
It is very dated in the bedrooms and would benefit from a deep clean of floor coverings
Windows dirty
Lovely comfy and quiet room
Great location
It was short stay the room was clean and comfortable i will book again very Happy with everything
Marked it down as ceiling fan and light didn't work, called reception and was delivered a stand up fan straight away
Fan not eorking
the hotel didnt have any air conditioning in the room it was like 100 degrees in the room
Breakfast was quite good with a wide choice and things being replenished quickly.
Our first room had central lights not working and no TV signal. We then moved to an "executive" room on the top floor - which had no hot water, and no USB ports and many of the three-pin plug points were not functioning. We even had a third room offered. So, to shower, we had either to get dressed and shower in the spa or, on our first morning, we could get dressed and use the room we had vacated the night before.
The room on the top floor had noises above - perhaps rats / mice in the roof space. Footsteps were too fast to be birds.
Carpets needed cleaning... The devan bed was on show and mucky
One lady on the front desk very helpful
I appreciate check in was 15:00, when on arrival at the hotel and going to reception at 14:45 yes you can check in but cannot have the key to your room until 15:00 is ridiculous only to rejoin the queue of people checking in,15 minutes later to get the key for your room! The room very dated and smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke, pink lights in the bathroom, not sure what that is all about. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.
The property is in a good location and pleasing to the eye from the exterior but inside very dated and in distress
We paid over £300 for a dirty very basic room to the point I slept on a bath towel
breakfast good swimming pool lovely and hot tub
resturant food at night
There was no blind on our window - it was there but not attached. We asked three times for it to be attached (we were woken at 5am each day by the light coming into the room) but nothing was done. Also, at one point there was warm water coming from both basin taps, and for the last day there was no hot water from the shower. We were not aware beforehand that the hotel was such a steep climb from the town (my wife is 81) which meant we were obliged to use taxis a lot. I chose the hotel because, according to the map, od its proximity to the beach at the Spa; there was no indication that there was 150ft cliff in between.
