Excellent little gem of a place...
Pros:

Beautiful Lodge and peaceful location. Great staff.

Pros:

Rooms spacious.

Cons:

No info in rooms about local area or even the hotel.
The breakfast wasn't replenished after the golfing groups had gone.
In all honesty it's a golfing society hotel, doesn't suit the tourist. A bit boring.

A pleasant stay in a very good hotel.
Pros:

The hotel was in very good condition. The hotel is very well situated in the countryside. It was within range of the venue that I was visiting. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The food was good especially the breakfast.

Cons:

Not keen on the heating system.

Perfect for our 3 day visit to Burghley Horse Trials
Pros:

Comfortable and spacious rooms. Good breakfast and convenient location

Cons:

All things were very good, tables could have been cleared and cleaned a little faster

Comfortable, and spacey...
Pros:

Plenty of car parking space, The room was very big, clean and comfortable, bed was huge, and there was a relatively clean large bathroom. Hotel receptionist was smiling and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and hot food nicely cooked, with a nice choice of items.

Cons:

The WC was in need of some deep cleaning, maybe a bleach or toilet cleaner to remove very unsightly stains, and to remove the smell from the hand basin drain. Unfortunately out of the hotel's control, the golfing guests were loud and abrasive with their behaviour at the breakfast restaurant.
