Hotel has its own Car Park, clean, good location overlooking the river, friendly staff, nice bar and outdoor terrace area, breakfast was really nice. Room was nice, a little dated but generally clean. Close to the shops and restaurants. Recommended.
Nothing really other than the vinyl in the bathroom was old and worn.

Good location within easy walking distance of the train station and the town centre. Good choices of breakfast and the food was nice.
The room was very dated with only a shower over the bath. The carpets throughout the property are heavily stained, which is off-putting. Only one plug socket by the bed. Very patchy TV signal. The room was very warm- one small, noisy fan provided. The main issue was having to give your room key into reception to leave the property and collect it upon return- this is "for security" but made us uncomfortable and feel we had to take all valuables out with us.

A bit soulless?
We had a lovely stay at The River Haven Hotel. All staff were very friendly and helpful, they let us keep our luggage at reception before check in and after check out which we really appreciated. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel is in a great location, and is in walking distance to Rye centre. Thank you for a wonderful mini break, we would definitely recommend. :-)
