Mimaru Kyoto Station is great!
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Mimaru Kyoto Station! We are a family of 4, with 2 young children. The room was spacious and the kids loved the double bunkbed! The staff made us feel welcome and was really kind. When we left we received a lovely personal note that also included our names in Japanase and the meaning behind it. Thank you!

The location was perfect! Nearby Kyoto trainstation with major JR Lines and metro lines. Easy to get around town!

Cons:

Nothing, we had a great stay!

Need new mattress or better cushioning
Pros:

Nice setting and good location close to JR, restaurants and mall.

Cons:

Mattresses need better cushioning. Too hard. Mind you we have been to a Ryokan prior arrival to this hotel and the mattress felt rough compared to the futons from the Ryokan.

Our stay was magical. The room was beautiful and we did not want to leave.
Pros:

I booked the Pokemon hotel room for my partner as a surprise for his birthday. He was so happy when he opened the door and stepped in, that he almost fell over. The room is beautiful, spacious, fun, and clean. Would love to come back again!

Amazing from start to finish. The location is incredibly convenient, which is a huge plus.
Pros:

Service was fantastic and the staff were amazing. The room was a great size and had everything we needed. Great view of the station, but without any traffic noise (8th floor). Really easy access to Kyoto station and close to multiple convenience stores. Great space for families, especially if you have lots of day trips planned.

Cons:

The beds are hard, something to keep in mind if you like them soft!
