My stay at the Makris
Pros:

Absolutely everything! The location was great, the service and level of hospitality was great. I enjoyed every moment of my stay at the Makris Beach Hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Cons:

I wish there was more variety with the breakfast, it was mainly bacon & eggs everyday with some small side salads or cakes. I also wish there was a kettle and/or microwave in the room like every standard hotel chain. These are definitely small things that could be better therefore I rate it a 9/10. Overall, still a wonderful experience.

Beautiful location, lovely suite and perfect staff (especially the glorious receptionist Maria)
Pros:

It is clean, spacious, right on the beach and the staff are incredibly helpful. The breakfast was excellent! So absolutely nothing to complain about at all!

Pros:

struttura molto funzionale e integrata nel contesto storico / tradizionale.
Ristorante contiguo e spiaggia di competenza frontale oltre la strada. Vicinissimo e comodo quindi per raggiungere la camera

Cons:

vista la presenza locale costante e di intensità variabile del vento, nel piano terra lascerei le vetrate mobili interne della zona ristorazione sempre disponibili a richiesta di adeguamento per la protezione dal vento ( nel mio caso avevo un occhio sensibile dopo intervento e mi avevano sconsigliato di rimanere in mezzo alle correnti d'aria o vento.

Say Yes to this one!
Pros:

Well, the heart of the hotel is Maria. She is such a Star than I would never even consider another hotel in Santorini island.
Location is perfect. Kamari beach area is a bit less expensive compared to the other tourist areas such as Fira and Oia. We loved to visit those places, but would I live there? No, thank you. Kamari beach area has a lot of cozy bars and super nice restaurants. If you rent a car or scooter(Maria helps you with those) you are easily able to visit all the beautiful places of the island and then return to the tranquility of the Makris Beach Hotel.
The room we had was super. 22A had a rooftop with sea view, sun beds and a jacuzzi. The room was spacious and the shower/toilet was comfortable in every way. Plus points for the rainfall shower that fits even a bit bigger person like me.
The bed was comfy and the cleaning staff did a perfect job each morning.
Breakfast at the Prince restaurant was good although simple. Not too much but just enough.
Next door of the reception there is an agency providing all the tours - also an excellent and warm customer service.

So in conclusion, trust me - if you go to Santorini then this is the place to book. You will love it.

Cons:

I always need to write something in this column so… the fact that I did not have an option to have my breakfast outside on the terrace of Prince, as they have a rule that hotel guests breakfast area is only inside of the restaurant, was a bit of a turnoff first morning, but I managed to cope with this rule next morning so…. All good.

Pros:

Un joli petit hôtel tout blanc et fleuri, à 50 m de la plage dans le joli village de Kamari. Une bonne adresse : bon accueil par Maria, belle décoration de la chambre et de la salle de bains, bon petit déjeuner, très bon emplacement et nous avons pris de bons repas au restaurant.

Good hotel in a good location but amenities not as advertised.
Pros:

Good location. Big comfortable room. Plentiful sockets. Room cleaned daily. Good shower. Kettle (provided on request). Air conditioning which doubled up as a heater. Very nice staff.

Cons:

One of the reasons I chose this hotel was the promise of breakfast served in the hotel restaurant (as per the Booking description and reviews). I had been island hopping using studios/apartnments so I wanted to finish my trip with a nice hotel. I was informed on arival that the restaurant was not open in the morning so they would bring it to my room. The breakfast was left on a tray on my patio which was open to the street. The breakfast itself was very poor. As the room was at a discount price I could hardly complain but it was a disappointment.

The room was at ground level and was directly accessible from a side street. There was a patio but it wasn't very private.

The pictures give the impression that the sunbeds outside are a part of the hotel but I understand guests wiould have to pay for them. I was only there for two nights and it was too cold for the beach but agian, it could have been a disapointment, certainly for a longer stay.
