Ansonsten sehr schönes Hotel.
Pros:

Das Frühstück war sehr gut.

Cons:

Leider haben sich ab 5 Uhr wohl Möwen auf dem Dach aufgehalten. Man hat „Trampelgeräusche“ gehört. Die Decken sind wohl sehr hellhörig. Dadurch war ein erholsamer Schlaf nicht ganz so gut möglich.

Das Zimmer wird mit „kompakt“ beschrieben und soll 15 m2 gross sein. Wenn‘s 10 m2 sind ist das noch grosszügig gerechnet. Ein typisches Bookingzimmer hinten raus. Schimmel im Badezimmer, Zierkissen zerschlissen, Bettzeug mufflig, Bett durchgelegen und zu schmal.
Badezimmer miniklein, Duschvorhang zu kurz, Vorhangstange rostig, Duschkopfstange falsch montiert und defekt, Frottierwäsche stinkt.

Frühstück wird ab 7 Uhr publiziert. Wir wurden beim einchecken gefragt, wann wir frühstücken wollten. Wegen Fähre sagten wir um 7:15. Das Buffet war zu dieser Zeit noch nicht aufgebaut - auch um 7:45 noch nicht, wo wir dann wirklich gehen mussten. Witz, dass gefragt wird…

Parkplätze für die grösse des Hotels viel zu gering

Cons:

Parking was difficult with only 12 spaces at Hotel and the surrounding streets are permit only between 8am & 6pm. Hotel is old and its betters days have long gone I think

Pros:

Lawrence we met outside and he really helped as I was travelling with my 92 year old mum who has limited mobility

Room was excellent downside was had to negotiate a couple of steps with mobility scooter

The hotel was comfortable but still haven’t received my £50 deposit back and the description of location is not great
Pros:

It was clean inside the breakfast was nice

Cons:

The pictures of the outside compared to what it actually looks like was disappointing, the description of my room was meant to be a sea view couldn’t see nothing becasue of trees and bushes , took a £50 deposit which was not explained before booking , was only meant to be a short walk to the beach

Enjoyed our stay at Hotel. Recommend.
Pros:

Staff very helpful. Lovely walk into town via promenade.
Comfortable-would recommend.

Cons:

EV charger available in hotel car park but gave incorrect instructions on how to connect to supplier. It took a long time and effort to find correct information. Hotel had no information. Notices gave incorrect information.

It was just an average stay.
Pros:

Lovely quiet old building, and staff were attentive.

Cons:

Building works as scaffolding outside of the font which impacted our view. Small room in need of some modernisation, in bathroom, shower mounted low which took minutes for hot water to arrive to enjoy the shower. Carpark is so small, therefore limited in spaces. If you have an EV car, good luck charging it as other cars were parked in front of the charger.

Total value for money!
Pros:

We had the best room in the hotel it was spotless and I have OCD! The facilities were spot on nothing extra needed. Front of house staff were so lovely and let us have a late check out at no extra charge

Cons:

The TV in the lounge area was a bit glitchy but their was another tv in the bedroom

Grenzwertig, in so einem Hotel erwartet man mehr!
Cons:

Obwohl man für ein Buffetfrühstück eine Zeit reservieren muss (habe ich bis jetzt noch nie gesehen), war der Service grenzwertig, das Personal schlicht überfordert.
Im Zimmer über uns war ein sehr lauter Gast der uns in der ersten Nacht von 12 bis 3 Uhr und in der zweiten Nacht von 10 bis 1 Uhr das Schlafen unmöglich machte, schade, für den Preis.

We visit 3 times a year so fairly frequent & have always been impressed. Sadly not this visit 😞

overpriced for the expected courtesy level we'd expect.

Cons:

Toilet seat was askew.
Said they'd run out so my partner and I couldn't have a second key card. I was unwell, so this was very inconvenient when he wished to have a drink in the bar with our friend. For a large hotel, to run out of key cards seems very disorganised.
Breakfast, we couldn't book the slot we wanted, despite the run / busy time, being less than a third full at any time, whilst we were there.
Staff gave a feeling of hurry at breakfast, instead of ease, we are on holiday! and didn't need that...especially at prices paid. Also, a neighbouring table, who asked for more tea, were told to hurry up and leave in 10 mins, because of the rush, which we couldn't see materialise. In fast their table was then empty for more than a half hour afterwards.
Overall, felt like we were treated bluntly, rather than courteously by reception particularly.
