Pros:

The location was very nice in the Nara park. The building self is Japanese style and you can live an authentic Ryokan stay.
The kaiseki dinner was amazing. We enjoyed very much that experience.
Other tourists were Japanese which made us even feel more local.

Cons:

Personally I felt a bit overwhelmed with the service.
We were asked to provide breakfast and dinner time which is ok, but each time 5-10 minutes before that time, a staff member knocked at the door to let us know that dinner / breakfast is ready.
Also the English level wasn't very good, which limited our conversation with the staff unfortunately.

The staff were amazing, lovely.

Cons:

The price was not right at all. We were greeted at the hotel by thousands of mosquitoes, who immediately attacked us. For the price we paid for two nights and two rooms, as the owner of the hotel I could have bought thousands of repellents for the drawers. The hotel equipment is really very old. The food in the restaurant was inedible. I'm not spoiled, I travel all over the world, but the quality and price ratio is not right.

l'expérience ryokan

Cons:

nous avions demander une attention pour un voyage de noce, rien n'as été proposé
le petit dejeuner est vraiment particulier ( peut etre que c'est ainsi qu'il est dans leurs traditions) , ps nous avons pas aimer
enfin, je trouve qu'on est un peut presser sur les crenaux de spa comme de diner, alors qu'on cherche clairement de la slow life quand on reserve ce genre d'xp
sinon vraiment les lieux sont beaux et les acteurs sont très sympathique et serviable

Best location
Pros:

The best location , atmosphere and just everything. Would highly recommend staying here and overall Nara is not for just a day trip - to wake up in here and see the deers all over without crowds arriving is another level of experience.

Pros:

Really loved our stay, we were treated like royalties - thank you. Staff and service were amazing. Location near the park was wonderful. Breakfast and dinner absolutely delicious! Wish we stayed longer and would definitely return back. We definitely had an exceptional experience.

Perfect ryokan stay in Nara
Pros:

Everything you’d expect from an exquisite authentic traditional 100-year old Japanese inn. Hospitality galore, beauty around every corner, welcome tea ceremony, Onsen bath, multi course dinner, floor futons in a room with several sections. Take the in-room shiatsu massage option!

Cons:

Food is adventurous, not made for kids.
