This hotel is truly lovely. It is so clean. Beautifully decorated in a minimalist fashion. Comfortably fit 5 people. A great location. And the biggest bathroom I’ve ever seen in a hotel. I was truly sad to leave it.

Best hotel out of 4 in this trip!
The hotel is very quiet in a prime location at the Sanjo district close to many attractions and subway/train stations. It is also very close to Nishiki market and a plethora of excellent restaurants nearby.
The breakfast was delicious, the kids still reminisce about the tonkatsu sandwiches today!!!
The room was spacious, airy, super clean and tastefully decorated.
Little notes left by the staff provided a touch of warmth. Service was discreet and ultra effective: amenities were replenished whenever we returned to our room and the place was kept spotless clean.
Contact with staff as mentioned in other reviews was sporadic. However, always pleasant with a subtle attentiveness.
We loved the hotel and wish to return.

The location was superb. Quick walking distance to almost everything. The suite was more than enough room for our family of 5. The bathroom was to die for, we will all miss it. The staff came to clean daily and refilled the amenities. We will be reserving again when we return to Kyoto in the future

Spacious rooms. Small hotel with 6 rooms in two different layouts. We had the smaller layout, and it was very spacious (particularly by Japanese standards) for our family of four. Designed with attention to all details. Would absolutely stay here again.

If I could choose a place to live for the rest of my life, it might be this Kyoto hotel and it’s neighborhood.

The room felt less like a hotel room and more like a beautiful, thoughtfully designed home. Every detail seemed carefully considered. Having the toilet and bathroom separated, with its own sink and even a pleasant room fragrance, made the space feel exceptionally comfortable and refined.

The bathroom itself was spacious and relaxing, with excellent amenities and a wonderful bathtub. One of my favorite features was the small relaxation area next to the bath—it felt like having a private little Zen retreat inside the room. The complimentary bottle of sake, along with the elegant sake set, was a lovely touch and the perfect way to unwind after a long day of exploring Kyoto.

The room was generously sized, with plenty of space for luggage and clothing. The wooden interior, large windows, and tasteful furniture created a warm and elegant atmosphere. The beds, pillows, and duvets were incredibly comfortable—sleeping there felt like sleeping on a soft cloud.

The neighborhood was remarkably quiet, and we enjoyed the most restful sleep of our entire trip to Japan. The yukatas provided for sleeping were not only beautiful but also of excellent quality.

What impressed me most was how many thoughtful details the hotel had included. Large and small, everything seemed designed to make guests feel comfortable and cared for.

The self check-in and check-out process was quick and convenient. The only thing I missed was having staff readily available at the reception for questions or assistance. If this is a thing for you, consider carefully. However, whenever I contacted the hotel through Booking.com, they responded very quickly, so it never became a real issue.

The hotel itself was wonderful, but the neighborhood deserves just as much praise. It was peaceful and charming, yet many of Kyoto’s main attractions were easily reachable on foot.

Perfect location in the Higashiyama district. Amazing apartment. The bathroom was incredible.

The hotel’s location is fantastic - Sanjo district is very central but still has a unique charm with lots of small, good-quality shops, nice restaurants and cafes. It was max 30mins to majority of tourist attractions and metro is very close.

The hotel itself is beautiful- the rooms ware very spacious, with unique japanease-style design. They offered a lot amenities to make your stay comfortable- even the bath salt! The zen-style inner room was fantastic- it felt like a balcony but inside a room - a great place to relax after a long day (there is even an always full supply of ice for your drinks!).

The breakfast was very nice too - a good balance between japanease and western-style breakfast- very fresh, full of vegetables and fruits. Our kids liked it a lot too!

We loved everything about this space. It was super quiet, we honestly felt like we had the entire hotel to ourselves. The beds were the most comfortable of our trip and there was so much space! Loved having two toilets. The tub room was unforgettable! It was so peaceful and relaxing! All the amenities were wonderful.
