Despite the criticisms I enjoyed my stay. I will go there again but upgrade to a sea view and hire an ebike or scooter

Wonderful location,who needs a pool when a sandy beach is so close. Beautiful view. Helpful, friendly waiters. Really excellent food. Cleaners charming and efficient. Nice gardens..

Perhaps you get what you pay for but the metal chair provided to relax on was fiendishly uncomfortable.l noticed that other rooms had much better easy chairs
Warning; if you are at all unfit make sure you have a room which is accessible without dozens of stairs meandering up the steep hillside to the individual cabins. I managed but being in my eighties I would have preferred not to have such a climb.
Be aware that there are no shops in the locality so transport is very desirable.

Tranquillità nel verde a due passi da una spiaggia molto carina e d'atmosfera.
Pros:

Hotel vicino alla piccola spiaggia di Scaglieri, più piccola e tranquilla della vicina spiaggia della Biodola.
Immerso nel verde, con le stanze distribuite in piccole casette tra prati e alberi, sul fianco della collina, ognuna con comoda veranda e sedie a sdraio per rilassarsi.
Molto gradito l'upgrade di camera, ci hanno regalato la vista mare, qualche gradino da fare in più, ma la vista e la tranquillità ripagano dello sforzo!!
Ottima e abbondante colazione, dolce e salata, che si può fare nella sala o all'aperto sotto al pergolato.
Possibilità di cenare nel ristorante dell'hotel

Schönes freundliches Drei-Sterne Hotel in Strandnähe
Pros:

Sehr freundliches hilfsbereites Personal. Das Zimmer war sehr gross, mit grossem Balkon und Sicht auf das Meer. Allerdings muss man dazu etliche Treppen hoch gehen, dies war für uns möglich, könnte für ältere Personen aber auch beschwerlich sein. Es war alles drin und dran für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt.

Cons:

Fahrrad Abstellplatz war möglich, aber sehr behelfsmässig. Es war ein kleiner Raum für den Hauswart, dessen Material mit Kreissäge und Bohrmaschine weggestellt werden musste und nicht mehr zugänglich hatte.

Elba in moto
Pros:

Tutto. Abbiamo fatto un piccolo viaggio in moto all'isola d'Elba ed abbiamo scelto l'Hotel Danila come base. La struttura è disposta a gradoni su una collina vicina alla spiaggia, con camere ad accesso indipendente servite da rampe di scale esterne. Ci hanno assegnato una camera panoramica al prezzo di una standard, molto pulita e confortevole ed abbiamo usufruito di un parcheggio coperto nei pressi della reception. La colazione, a buffet, è stata ottima ed abbondante .

Soggiorno molto bello in un angolo dell’Elba incantevole.
Pros:

Posizione strategica, gentilisse le receptionist, ottimo buffet della colazione. Anche la disponibilità dell’hotel a darci una doppia superiore rispetto a quella prenotata

Cons:

Molto caro il ristorante anche se di ottimo livello. Materassi non molto comodi
