Nice place, good food and nice staff.
Pros:

Good location, with parking. Staff were friendly. Rooms and bathroom were nice.

Cons:

The bed was small and I was positioned by the beer garden so it was a bit noisy but the noise did stop at night.

Pros:

Location was perfect for the Biggar Django jazz festival. We even had some jam gigs in the Beer garden. Excellent breakfast.

Cons:

Kettle needs a socket nearer the stand. Current situation liable to cause kettle to fall.

Needs a big makeover
Pros:

Nice staff and breakfast

Cons:

Not clean (hairs in the shower) and not safe (window locks didn’t work). Carpets smelled terribly in the hallway. Expensive for the quality. Holiday Inn is cheaper and cleaner.

The hotel is amongst the oldest buildings in Biggar and historically interesting.
Pros:

The hotel is located on the High Street in Biggar. We were attending a wedding and this was convenient. The hotel staff are very friendly and always willing to help with any requests and questions we had.
Dinner in the restaurant on the first evening was very good - chicken & haggis and my wife had fish and chips.
The rooms were quiet and comforable.

Cons:

While the bedroom and common areas were clean and tidy, it is all a little dated. Bedroom furniture has seen better days.
