Nothing to note
Great location - we were in the area for business and it was close by to our event. The bed was comfortable and the facilities great.
I don’t normally leave negative reviews however I feel I have to mention the noise at this hotel. Both nights we stopped (Friday and Saturday) we were placed in a room at the back of the hotel and the music noise in the evening was almost unbearable. The first night we’d had a long travel day and there was a function/ball on and we managed to put the fan on to drown out the noise. The room was incredible hot and we had to have the window open or the room was above 25 degrees. We’re in our early 30s and of course like to party ourselves but the bass and the vibrations through the floor were just not acceptable. The second night we’d returned after working until 10pm and again there was something on but this time it was much much louder and even more bass. We had to leave at 4am for our flight and needed a good nights sleeps so I called down to reception and asked when the music would stop and explained it was incredibly loud ‘the response was a bit of a laugh and then oh that’ll be going on until 1am’. At that point there was no point asking for a room change but I’m incredibly disappointed that we weren’t warned when booking that two events would be on when we were staying and that the rooms are location directly above the events space. For almost £350 for two nights it wasn’t a cheap stay either so I feel this needs to be shared with anyone looking to stay on a weekend.
The peaceful setting
Very weird check in, was told I had no booking and front desk refused to look at email or booking number and we had to suffer a loudspeaker phone call to a third party at 2 am before we were given keys to the room.
The two single beds were horrific, sunken in the middle and the pillow cases were filthy, brown and worn and it didn’t feel clean at all.
Friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms
Friendly staff. Nice surroundings.Clean
Breakfast was self service..not a great selection..Everything looked like it was counted out allowing for the fact that it only has a small number of bedrooms
