Hilbre Hotel

The owners and staff are amazing, kind, and treat you like family—nothing is ever too much trouble. The game room is fantastic, and the breakfast is the best you could ask for. This was our second time here, and my 9-year-old daughter loves it so much we've already booked to come back for her birthday next year

Great owners, breakfasts and location

Great hosts, Simon even reserved a parking place for us outside the hotel. Room was clean and had everything that we needed. Location was perfect for us as the kids wanted to go to the Pleasure Beach. Very reasonable prices in the bar and breakfast was good. Excellent value for money. I have scored so highly because it ticked all the boxes that I wanted. Highly recommended if you're looking for a clean, friendly and good value for money hotel.

Just spent a couple of nights with grandkids ideal room and location. Hosts were really good and friendly. Breakfast was good and the kids said it was th3 best holiday ever so they were impressed. Would definitely book again if visiting Blackpool

We had a wonderful stay at Hilbre Hotel in August. The location is perfect and the hotel has everything you need for a short stay. Clean and welcoming. The owners and staff were all great, couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. Would definitely stay again if we return to Blackpool.

Every thing about the hotel far exceeded all the other hotels I have stayed in over the years in Blackpool. Simon even moved his car so I could park mine right by the front door. There’s no wonder it gets booked up as I should imagine clients come back year after year. I certainly will and I would certainly recommend the hotel to my friends.

We had a lovely stay. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and we really appreciated being allowed to check in early. The hotel was in a great location, just a short walk from the beach and all the main attractions, which made getting around really easy. There were also plenty of shops, places to eat, and public transport nearby, which was very convenient. I really enjoyed the breakfast each morning. Overall, it was a great base for our trip, and I would happily stay here again.

The staff were lovely, breakfast was delicious, and although a cooked breakfast is advertised, the staff accommodated preferences such as breakfast sandwiches and separate parts of breakfast (my daughter asked if she could have scrambled eggs and sausage), and the staff couldn't do more for us. The hotel has a lovely homely feel; we loved it.

Simon was welcoming, and took a couple of minutes to explain a couple of things required during our stay. The room was very clean, and there was plenty of room to keep everything stored away. The bathroom was immaculate.

The lounge area was very comfortable, with a pool table and gaming machines available for the adults. It was nice to see pictures of Simon & Rosina (and their families) dotted around the room, not forgetting who they do this with and for.

There is a separate bar with plenty of seating, and numerous board games available for all to play. The selection of drinks is great, meaning there is something to quench the thirst of everybody - all drinks are great value!

Finally, I need to talk about breakfast. This is genuinely one of the best set-ups we have encountered. Plenty of sundries for those wanting a light morning munch, but the full breakfast was excellent. Hot, fresh, and tasty, with tea and toast tiding you over for the few minutes you might have to wait. I'd happily eat here every day.
