The Radnorshire Arms Hotel

We (three cyclists) have just got back from a brilliant stay at Radnorshire Arms Hotel and honestly can’t fault it. If you love places packed with history, you’ll love this place. It's a gorgeous 16th-century building with old oak panels, wonky beams, and loads of character. It has a great wood-panelled bar area, and the outside garden was a super cool area to relax. The staff here are lovely too; they are incredibly welcoming and genuinely friendly from the second you walk through the door. A special shout-out to Martin the manager, who gave us every assistance as we had to store three bicycles for our overnight stay. The weather was also not good the next day, and he even offered us his services to get our bikes to our next stay. He was also very engaging, polite and exceedingly respectful. In fact he made our stay a pleasure.

Ohhh yes, the carvery we had was top notch.

We will definitely be back!

Prachtig oud pand waar we vriendelijk werden ontvangen, heeft eigen gezellige pub en restaurant.
Mooie kamer en aansluitende badkamer, (ietwat verouderd qua onderhoud maar niets ernstig)
Gezellige Biergarten en zalig gegeten in het eigen restaurant.
Prijs / prestatie was dik in orde.

Breakfast was excellent.

Pretty good. Would have liked some hot alternatives.

Nothing it was the worst stay

Atmosphere, vibe, staff and garden.

We liked everything. It is a hidden gem and very good value for money.

The bedrooms were spacious and clean and the bathrooms were of a good standard

Clean, comfortable, friendly, historic, great food, lovely bar and beer garden

We liked the guy (owner?) who walked around, was generally available to help, made friendly comments and acknowledged the ups and downs of the place. He was great and really made the stay more personal.

The continental breakfast was good - loved the fruit salad especially, and the Welsh cakes were a nice touch.

The bed was comfy and the garden rooms escape the noise of hotel life, so that was helpful. Having a covered walkway to the hotel was a nice touch too, as was seeing the garden used for growing a variety of things.

The garden rooms have a small table and 2 chairs just outside the window. Most rooms have a screen between them and the next room.

Really lovely family-friendly beer garden with a decent play area. Live music on the Saturday night didn't go on late.

The location - being able to step straight on to the high street - was great, and the surrounding area was quiet. Presteigne is a lovely little town, well worth a visit.
