Beautiful hotel, great location, fabulous view!
Bath tub in the room is a lovely touch.
Not a dislike at all - but if you can’t walk up stairs, this isn’t the place for you!

No elevator and older
Bed was comfortable. Loved the free standing bath in the room. Breakfast views by the window was lovely. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Location location location was exceptional.

The toilet was a tiny wet room, i.e., combined shower, toilet and sink. The sink was tiny (half-sized). The toilet is also in the wet room so if you want to use the toilet after someone has taken a shower, you have to step into the wet floor. Honestly, I couldn't believe that that was the bathroom in a four star hotel. The hotel doesn't have lifts, which is fine but the stairs at the top were very narrow and tall, which made it a difficult climb. My dog had trouble getting up and down.
Great location, lovely view from the room staff were great very comfortable beds.
The only negative is paying extra for parking and if you want a full breakfast it is an extra £9.50 which is not really a small supliment

La décoration est soignée, correspond à l'esthétique qu'on espérerait d'un hôtel balnéaire anglais en moderne, singulier, précis dans les détails, élégant. La salle d'eau est impeccable, les produits à disposition délicats. Le lit (la literie, matelas et oreillers) est vraiment confortable ; on y dort incroyablement bien. Nous n'avons pas du tout été importunés par le bruit de la rue, ni des autres chambres.

What really upset me l paid for the breakfast package only to find out the breakfast was cereal, croissants,and fruit salad. I was told if l want a cooked breakfast l had to paid extra
I was fuming breakfast is breakfast, l'm 64 been travelling the world since l was 24 a season traveller l have never paid for a breakfast package to then be told l have to pay extra for a cooked breakfast had l known that l would definitely not stayed at The Drakes Brighton. I paid for the cooked breakfast, it's not the money ,it's deceitful.
Almost everything. The room was very comfortable and the stuff very kind.
The only issue was that the cold water tap on the sink wouldn't work, so we had to wash our hands in the bathtub. However, since we were only staying for one day, we decided not to bother the front desk and didn't report it.
