The staff was so kind and helpful. It was a plus that breakfast opened at 6:30, allowing us to get into the park early. The option to had a tent in the room for the kids was what sold us to stay here. It was worth it!
Clean and great location. Very family friendly
Great service, clean.
AC is loud. Kept waking me up.
If you're visiting the area, stay here! The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. What really sets this place apart are the incredible extras:
Amazing breakfast with excellent gluten-free and dairy-free options
Morning DIY trail mix bar and floor-by-floor coffee bars with syrups
Microwaves, plates, and utensils on every floor for total convenience
Daily homemade cookies and charcuterie, evening campfire s'mores, and outdoor movies
Great pool, hot tub, and lawn games
Super convenient free shuttle directly into Bar Harbor
They truly thought of every detail to make guests feel at home. 10/10 experience!

If you're visiting Bar Harbor, the Acadia Inn is a phenomenal choice. A few highlights from our four day stay in July 2026:
Comfortable Stay & Great Staff: The rooms are clean, quiet, and very comfortable.
Thoughtful Perks: Afternoon cookies and charcuterie, morning trail mix, a great breakfast.
Activities: The property offers plenty of outdoor space, a trail into Acadia, a heated outdoor pool and hot tub, bocce, cornhole, fire pit, and other games.
Prime Location: The Island Explorer shuttle stops right at the front door, making access to Acadia and Bar Harbor completely seamless—no dealing with parkin, which can be brutal in the town and park.
It’s an ideal home base for exploring the area, and we would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely wonderful hotel for families (or anyone)!! Pristinely clean, incredibly friendly staff, amazing breakfast (including many options for gluten and dairy free diets with a dedicated space and toaster for gf breads and bagels, fresh berries, dairy free yogurt, almond milk, eggs, sausages, oatmeal). Wonderful coffee bar on each floor with all the fixings including sugar free syrups, a microwave, plates/bowls/utensils. Fresh baked cookies every afternoon, s'mores around the campfire at night, outside movie nights, make your own trail mix -- so many details to make your stay welcoming, delicious and fun. The free shuttle to downtown Bar Harbor picks up right outside and drops where you connect to the shuttles that go into the park to drop at all the sites. The heated pool and hot tub are lovely with tons of towels and there are many outdoor lawn games to choose from. Beds and pillows are super comfy, too! Definitely one of the best hotel stays we've ever had.
Acadia/Bar Harbor is a must do and The Acadia Inn is the place to stay. Convenient location, great amenities and amazing staff. 5 stars are not enoughn
Close to town and the National Park, with a bus p/u location at the front door
Staff was excellent
Great location, comfortable bed, and pillows great staff great amenities
Really can’t think of anything
Very clean and staff were extremely efficient. Nice breakfast . Enjoyed the coffee on each floor.
The accommodations were so clean. The breakfast was amazing. The trail mix you could make every morning before you took off for your day was awesome and the access to the bus in and out of Bar Harbor was exceptional.
This hotel has a great location, just minutes to downtown BH and 5 min to the Hull Visitors Center in Acadia National Park. Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfasts were good, they also offered afternoon cheese, crackers & fruit in the dining area. They have a summer daily activity list posted with smores nightly, movies certain days of the week, trail mix you can make and take that was available late mornings and a Saturday activity - rock painting. They off a nice water bottle filing station in the main lobby and on each floor a coffee bar, flavored fruit water and fresh fruit available next to the microwave that supplied plates, bowls & flatware. Pool towels were stocked both inside and by the pool, readily available at all times.
Honestly, I can’t say enough great things about this place! This was our first time in Bar Harbor, traveling with my family of 4 (kids ages 14 (he tuned 15 while we were there and 11). The hotel was soo clean and always smelled great! I wondered if they diffused a specific scent through the rooms and hallways, it smelled so good. The beds were so comfortable. It seemed like such a safe area and very family friendly with the lawn games and so many things for the kids to do. The staff was so professional and kind. They all seemed to take their job seriously and their hard work showed. We loved the breakfast every day. And truly it was the little special touches that made our stay memorable. The infused water offered daily, with different flavors , the charcuterie trays in the lobby, the s’mores nightly, the kids activities! It was all so wonderful, I actually added a night to our stay bc we didn’t want to leave. When a teenager even says he loves it there, that says something! :)
I hope we can return some day! If we do, there’s no doubt where we will be staying.
staff
The staff was very helpful with a problem in my room. There were extras such as making trail mix available to us that was great.
