Acadia Inn

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at Acadia Inn. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and they were always kind and helpful. The rooms were large, breakfast and snacks were amazing. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was very clean and the whole property was well taken care of. The staff went above and beyond - the kids especially loved the heated pool, the yard toys, and the nightly s’mores!

This was an absolute gem of a stay for our family & another who traveled together! The staff was friendly and accommodating, the rooms were so clean, the additional amenities (s’mores, movie nights, pool, postcards for the kids to write) were delightful, and the entire property felt safe for families.

As the title suggests this inn really creates an experience. Since we booked the inn for 5 nights the inn gave us a free VIP basket with a mug, honey, tea, coffee and shortbread cookies. All items were from local businesses in maine. The first morning the inn provided us two pre stamped postcards to write messages to family and friends. You could drop them off at the front desk and the inn would mail it out for you. Every night they offered smores over a campfire. Every other night the inn offered a movie night with homemade popcorn. There is a backyard area where kids can run around and play. Tuesday and Thursday morning they had make your own trail mix in the lobby. The rooms were spacious and comfy. There is also a make your own pancake machine ( yum) . I've stayed at chain hotels and have never had an experience like this. Top notch and amazing! Truly a hidden gem.

From the moment Rushanna and Trinity cheerfully welcomed us to the Acadia Inn, we had a great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms and facility were clean. There were extra amenities, some listed (eg smore nights, make your own trail mix on some mornings) and others just pooping up such as a charcuterie tray in the afternoon. These extra touches added to our positive experience. Very family friendly lodging.

I have never stayed at a place where every single member of the staff treated you like a long lost friend. All smiles and friendly with complete professionalism. Hotel itself was clean updated and very family friendly with activities during the day and evening including movie night and s’mores in the dining room. It is walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor yet just far enough out of town so you can sit outside and relax. This is my new go to hotel when I am heading to Bar Harbor!

The staff was exceptional. Everyone was most helpful and upbeat in every encounter. The extra amenities and activities were fantastic. Evening fire pit and smores, movie night, were all very pleasant surprises. I would highly recommend this hotel for families with children. The entire atmosphere was so friendly and customer oriented.

Despite claims it is miles of walking to downtown.
Average breakfast.
Thos is nothing special.
Save your money.

EVERYTHING about the Acadia Inn has exceeded my expectations. From the extremely friendly and helpful entire staff (Sylvia and Heather) to the cleanliness of the rooms (Giselle, I think) to the amazing breakfast choices, little stuffies for the kiddos, the make your own trail mix to the smores - could not recommend this place more. For families, for those enjoying Acadia and Bar Harbor, for anyone! The Acadia Inn is my new standard for hotels. I wish all hotels were half as good as this one!

Excellent breakfast. Afternoon crackers, cheese and cookies and evening s'mores a plus. Close to downtown Bar Harbor in quiet location. Eden Bistro across street serves delicious dinners. Spacious room.
