Access to the hotel through the pedestrian zone is permitted at any time. You will receive a parking permit upon check-in. One parking space is available per room (3:00 PM – 11:00 AM). Please note: The gate to the courtyard is closed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Parking spaces within the town are reserved exclusively for residents.

Pets
Dogs are welcome for a fee of €20.00 per night. They are not permitted in the monastery garden or breakfast area.

Alles im allen war es ein guter Aufenthalt.
Pros:

Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer war traumhaft.
Klimaanlage war TOP. Das Frühstück war sehr gut.

Cons:

Das Warmwasser war mal heiß dann wieder kalt.
Der Fernseher war sehr klein und nicht eines 4* Hotels würdig.

The location is superb! The village of Durnstein is worth exploring and Hotel Richard Lowenherz is the ideal starting point. The garden and pool are beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast is very delicious.

Durnstein: well worth a visit!
Pros:

The service could not be better!
The breakfast buffet is absolutely wonderful including Homemade items. The location was quite nice if you wanted to relax in the evening and peaceful for a beautiful evening walk.
The rooms are very comfortable/nicely decorated. The onsite restaurant is very pretty overlooking the Danube. Food was excellent.

We loved our stay and wished we had more time!
Pros:

Wonderful location with great view. Great historic surroundings, excellent food. Included breakfast is outstanding.

A/C was too weak for front room.

We had a wonderful stay, highly recommended.
Pros:

The hotel has a lot of charm with its history. The staff is very friendly. They have bikes for rent without time limit, we had a lot of fun exploring the surrounding area with the bike.

Cons:

It would be nice to have a clear sign for reception, it took us a while to find the front desk to check in.
