It was a cultural shock to visit. People and staff was lovely just a different way of life for sure
Pros:

The grounds were maintained well. Rooms cleaned every day- free WiFi
Lots of choice of food.

Nice weather.

Cons:

My mum got cholera 2 days into the stay she was very poorly the hospital on site was refusing to take both travel insurances we had for our stay and was insisting on cash. Couldn’t really leave the complex as wasn’t very safe. About 2 hours away from any decent beach. Food was ok. Not for my pallet but lots of choice. We upgraded our rooms to a villa wasn’t really worth the money. I wouldn’t be coming back. Any popular drink you would normally order is charged as an extra- even though we was all inclusive didn’t even stay 5 days - we left as soon as possible we was booked in for 2 weeks

Pros:

Anlage war sehr schön. Etwas veraltet aber man hat sich dadurch nicht schlechter gefühlt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Es wurde täglich geputzt, Moskitonetz wurde geöffnet und abends wurde es wieder geschlossen und gesprüht. Wir hatten nichts an Mücken oder sonstiges im Zimmer. TOP

Cons:

Die Lage war sehr abseits. Aber dafür kein Abzug.

Cons:

My wife I and our inlaws had food poisoning. We struggled to get immediate assistance and had to wait it out, which got worse by the day.

We had to get back to South Africa to get the necessary help.

That spoiled our stay and we were then miserable and locked up for the last few days due to severe cramping, diarrhea.

Beautiful resort and very friendly staff
Pros:

Very nice African themed and lovely beach front. Has different sections of resort with 3 pools. Buffet restaurant with different food stations. Indian restaurant. Has a medical centre on site as well. We had a couple of Masai themed entertainment on couple of the nights. Overall a fantastic stay and highly recommend.

Cons:

My friends room kept on having leaks in the bathroom and then the wooden mosquito net frame fell and thankfully she didn’t get hurt. It was all dealt with and fixed. Finally the roof started to leak towards the last couple of days due to very heavy rain. She was moved to another room as was a long job.

Totally Amazing
Pros:

The food was amazing, people are always friendly no matter the situation. Never had to worry about crime. Zanzibar Bay Resort is really amazing.

Location was beautiful. Area was clean and the resort appeared to be going through a renovation. Room and bathroom need an update. Food very basic, but tasty.

Fabulous holiday
Pros:

A special thank you to Johan Saaiman and his team at Paradise Beach Resort. Espesially Amina and Seif at the Restaurant. Our holiday in Zanzibar was truly amazing. Oké, maar absoluut niet voor herhaling vatbaar
Pros:

De accommodatie was fris en ruim. De wastafel is wat klein maar verder prima.
Personeel is top en heel lief.
De animatie is top

Cons:

Ze doen t voorkomen alsof er een mooi strand voor de deur ligt. Alles is behalve waar! Eb en vloed speelt waardoor de modderige poel van hout en afvalresten te voorschijn komen. Dat is de natuur.
Maar dat veranderd niet al t plastic en de gore luiers die overal verspreid liggen zoals bij de speeltuin en de trampoline en de strandbedjes.
Verder is het niet een plek wat uitnodigt om lekker in zee te zwemmen.

Verder is het eten lauw. Wat heet moet zijn is lauw en de wat koud hoort te zijn is ook lauw.

Alle weken geen last gehad van mijn buik. Niet in Tanzania en ook niet op ons andere verblijf (4 dagen) op Zanzibar. Maar op Paradise Beach zijn we alle drie aan de buikloop gegaan.

Impressive
Pros:

I had a very good stay at the resort. Special thanks to Manager Emmanuel for kindly upgrading my room after my request. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the reception team was also excellent, especially Maryam for her warm hospitality. I truly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend this resort.
