Pros:

Ruhige Gegend trotzdem zentral gelegen. Herrschaftliches Ambiente. Unser Zimmer in der 4. Etage war groß, etwas gedrungen, weil Dachgeschoss. Aber eine herrliche Aussicht auf Dean Village.
Wenn man zum Frühstücksbuffet auch a la card bestellt, ist es sehr gut.

Cons:

Leider gab es im kleinen Bad keine Möglichkeiten, die Handtücher aufzuhängen. Das wurde trotz sofortiger Meldung nicht geändert.

Great location for brief Eninburgh stay
Pros:

The location was perfect for us, walking distance to everything including airport bus stop and tourist sites and restaurants.

Cons:

The room was a bit small but as expected form photos- and I a not a fan of the coffee machine

Nice location in Edinburgh West End but overpriced for a dark & stuffy basement room.
Pros:

Reception staff helpful and friendly. The area the hotel is in is lovely.

Cons:

Our room was small, dark and too hot. No air con and window couldn’t open very wide. Fans were provided though, thankfully.

Pros:

We stayed here for 3 nights, came in early and they were accommodating - let us check in early. All key places like Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Johnnie Walker, Mary's Close , Hollyrood palace are walkable distance. Good restaurants too close by. Breakfast was great. Emile provided service with a smile. They have a library that is just awesome - just that place will entice you to stay longer. Service was excellent.

We had a short but lovely stay and we would love to come back!
Pros:

The location was lovely, the breakfast looked amazing but we had to leave early so we could not enjoy it (however they gave us a takeaway breakfast to eat in the taxi which was so kind). The beds in the room were very comfy and the views were amazing!

Cons:

The only things we did not like were that the room was very hot upon arrival (this was because we were placed on the 4th floor) but we called reception and they told us how to open the windows. The other downside was the shower seemed to be broken, the water was scalding hot and it would not change temperature.

Enjoyed my stay! Would stay again 🫶🏻
Pros:

Beautiful building! Was great by a lady at the reception who was very sweet and helpful.

Great area, close enough to the centre but further enough away that it’s nice and quiet.

Facilities were great, was only there for one night but I enjoyed my stay.

Cons:

Needed to run to work early so wasn’t able to try the breakfast!

Although the building is beautiful, the lift is very old, got a little nervous hearing it creaking

Pros:

Mooi, rustiek hotel met geschiedenis. Rustige locatie, op wandelafstand van het centrum. Heerlijk ontbijt, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Mogelijkheid om bagage achter te laten om de stad te bezoeken na het uitchecken. Ideale locatie voor een citytrip.

Cons:

Doordat het een historisch gebouw is, is de lift heel klein, maar dat is maar een detail.
