Pool area was too small, beds did not recline. Pool was crowded and handrail rusty. Maintenance was carried out whilst guests were relaxing. ( smell of paint from repainting handrails). room tired and smelly, no usb next to bed.

All the front desk employees are so nice and polite,
One night I had noise from construction work near the hotel. The reception manager Ethan on the next day moved me to an upgraded room and gave me $200 in compensation for using the hotel facilities. Beyond that, he was very helpful, caring, and saw that it was important to him that I was satisfied with my stay at the hotel. The hotel itself is very clean! An amazing and beautifully maintained gym, a pleasant and modern pool, and the general atmosphere at the hotel is simply perfect. The spa staff is very professional, especially a therapist named Jasmin who gave me a very high-level professional massage.

I didn’t like that when I called reception I wouldn’t get it within 20 mins like towels or pillows. One time we waited for 2 hours eg. called for a bassinet in my room and we were asked to change rooms because of drainage issues but we expect the same thing to be put into the new room like a cot. We didn’t get a cot until mid day when we called first thing in the morning when we moved to the new room. Everything was good but just slow service

Fantastic pool area and surrounding gardens. Beautiful hotel design and greenery.

Cons:

Worst in-room entertainment I have come across in a high class hotel in many years. It needed you to Chromecast off your own App and only offered Netflix ;which no longer supports Chromecast), Disney, YouTube and some sport channel). Also, there was virtually no shelves or drawers in the room to unpack a suitcase - just hanging space). This was a n above-standard room, with bundles of space.

Very disappointing experience at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering, especially given the hotel’s reputation and 5-star positioning.

This was our first visit to Singapore and we booked this hotel to celebrate my wife’s birthday, expecting a high standard of accommodation and service. Unfortunately, since check-in we have been moved across three different rooms due to ongoing issues.

Our first room was visibly unclean with dust buildup throughout and had a very unpleasant smell.

The second room had multiple maintenance and service issues including a faulty phone, non-working TV and a leaking minibar fridge that left water across the cupboards and floor. To make matters worse, housekeeping failed to service the room despite us being out for most of the day and returning from a hot day out around 3pm expecting the room to be refreshed. We also had to repeatedly go down to Reception because the room phone did not work.

Even basic in-room amenities were inadequate for two guests, with supplies stocked for one person only.

The front of house manager Mr Lee was great once he finally got involved but 4 room moves for 3 nights .... exhausting....

The location is excellent, but overall the stay has been extremely underwhelming and disappointing.
